    Dreams Palm Beach

Wouldn't change anything about our wedding! Loved evey minute of it! Our photographer, Michael Steingard, is the best decision we made!
  2. Hi Jill, Thanks for the compliment on the pics. We love our photographer! Do you mean the activites that I had scheduled for our group to meet us each day? If so, I set them up before. I did a welcome email a week before the trip and listed one activity a day. I kept the activities simple, for example. 12:00 Pool Bar, 7:00pm welcome happy hour at Lobby bar etc I brought table clothes and runner, tulle bows for chairs, centerpieces, but it really isn't necessary to bring all this stuff. Have an idea of what you want and then you will sit down with the coordinator and she will cover it all. I will have pics of reception in about a month, so email me in about a month gracielemon@gmail.com if you want to see them.
  3. hello lesee! This info is really important to me and is sooo apreciated!! AIRFARE IS TOTALLY STRESSING ME OUT!! My wedding is in punta cana in October and I have over 80 guest booked as of right now and each of them keeps coming to me about airfare and when the prices will go down. I fill it is my responsiblity to know...but how can I possibly know for sure? I would love to know how long your guest waited? What length of time before your wedding did you find the best prices? Thanks!!
  4. Hi Ash... I was wondering that too. What I found out from visiting and reading through all the details is that the Ultimate Wedding cost includes dinner and appetizers etc for up to 20 people...if you have more than that then it is an extra per person charge. I hope this helps! Check this out for more info: http://www.amresorts.com/wedding_guides/drepb-wedding-guide.pdf

  6. I am so excited I just booked the best photographer: http://michaelsteingard.com/#home/ He is best of both...he is super artistic and personal...It is really important to me to know who is showing up to take my pictures. If you check out his web page and blog you will see that the pics are not the posed predictable ones...they are more artsy and dramatic! So to get all that and it still be reasonable is super exciting! yay!!

  8. Hi Elizabeth! I was wondering what local florist you are using for flowers and what flowers you were thinking about using? Thanks!
  9. Hi Plamento and Dreams palm beach ladies! That is exciting that we are both having our wedding the same weekend! I think it will be nice for you to have a smaller wedding group. I am really stressing the amount of people and trying to coordinate it all!! I definitely want to do something private for my group but was trying to do several appetizers and drinks since everybody will be eating all day considering it is an all inclusive. I want to focus the reception on the dancing and drinks lol...not really the food. I may change my mind. I just have been to many wedding where there is a nice sit down dinner and it doesn't even get eaten because everyone is busy dancing. Also with 80+ guests it gets REALLY expensive to pay for dinner for each! I am really torn about photography!! I am more into the artistic type photos like www.katyanovablog.com or http://michaelsteingard.com/#home/rather than the traditional type photographers. But those are more $$. **My visit to Dreams both helped and stressed me out more. I was staying at a different resort, Secrets Sanctuary, cap cana, (which is truly an amazing place for a honeymoon) and I only had a short time to visit Dreams and get my questions answered. The resort is very social and we choose it for this reason. It is also family friendly.for guests that have children. I was originally thinking of having the ceremony at the gazebo, which is pretty in and of itself, but it is far from the beach and really doesn't have a very good view. It is also is small and it would be difficult to accomodate a larger wedding. So I am rethinking it and having it on the beach!! Then I want my reception by the pool. I just hope there is room for the # of guests and a dance floor! I am stressing air fare!! anyone having luck with this!!?? or suggestions? okay I am going on and on...if you have questions ask!
  10. what an amazing review!! thank you thank you thank you for your time in writing this and all the details!! I have 80+ guest for a wedding in October at Dreams and wanted the pool reception also. I was told that that amount of people is possible. I sp hope so!!
  11. Hello Ladies! Happy Planning to everyone! I am new here and am SOOO glad I found this website! So much feedback and great ideas!! I am getting married at Dreams Palm Beach on Oct 21, 2011. We are already at 80 booked and counting and I am not a planning kind of person. I did go visit the resort about a month ago so that helped a little. Anyone else doing a wedding about that size who has suggestions. I was originally thinking of having the ceremony at the Gazebo and the wedding coordinator assure me that they can accomodate the # of guests I am anticipating...but while visiting the gazebo looks a lot smaller than I had thought it would be. Plus we are going all the way to a beautiful carribean island it would make sense to take advantage of the landscape for the wedding, right? I was thinking of doing more of a cocktail/ appetizer thing since it is an all inclusive resort and people have been already doing lots of eating?! what does everyone think about that?
  12. I am having my wedding at Dreams Palm Beach in October 2011. Through my travel agent I was able to get a group rate of 3 nights rates $267.00 per person 4 nights rates $346.00 per person 5 nights rates $425.00 per person plus airfare!! so definitely doable to keep it affordable for your guests! If you want my travel agents info email me at gracielemon@gmail.com
  13. Hello! I really need some help in regards to the same question you had....did you have any luck with a bakery and music trio? Thanks!
  14. Exceeded my dreams!!

    Pros: Everything!
    Cons: nothing!
So I am writing this and it is so bitter sweet because I am back home in rainy Washington DC after the best week of our lives at Dreams Palm Beach. Our wedding was Friday Oct 21st and we had ~70 guests coming from the US. We arrived the Tuesday before the wedding along with about half our guests, the other half arrived the Thursday before.    We met with our wedding coordinator Leticia on Tuesday and she was very prepared for us and so open to hearing all my ideas and looking at the decora
  15. Exceeded expectations!!!

    Pros: Everything!
    Cons: Nothing!
Our wedding at Dreams Palm Beach far exceeded my dreams! Tomas was our MC and he met with us a few days early to go over song choices and what songs for special dances. He not only played every song we had listed (and there were quite a few requests) he came up with perfect songs for the Father/ Daughter & Mother/ Son Dance. We had a unique group as my husband is Hispanic and my family is more country. But they delivered and not one person was sitting! Everyone danced! And to top it off they
