I bought my shoes last week from Le Chateau, I had to go with flat sandals so I'm not taller than my FI, but they also had the same shoe with a 1 inch wedge heel. I love that they are dressy enough and have the being I've been looking for! http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163491/width/500/height/1000[/img]

I just got a pair of starfish earrings in the mail today that I ordered on ebay for less than $3 plus free shipping. I won't wear them for the wedding, but during the week. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163480/width/350/height/700[/img]

Here is a close up of a 't' http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/163169/width/500/height/1000[/img] I'll try to explain the best I can. #1. Bend the wire up #2. At the top bend the wire back and down so it's behind #3. About 1/3 of the way down bend the wire to the right, this will still be behind #4. The next step is to bend the wire forward, towards you, then left so it crosses the middle #5. At the same distance on the other side bend the wire back, behind, and to the right #6. When you reach the middle bend the wire down, behind step #1 #7. Last step, at the bottom of the t bend the wire to the right then onto your next letter. Take your time and practice a few times on some scrap wire. Good luck! How did you make the "t"??? Mine does not look half as good as yours. Thanks! -
I like dress #2, the sweetheart neckline is so flattering. I never had a this is 'the dress' feeling, and I too was tempted to ask my fiancé, I ending up ordering the dress I thought I liked, but couldn't stop thinking about another one. The next day I called the store before the order had been sent out and ordered the dress I couldn't get off my mind. If you don't have a 'this is my dress feeling', go with your gut, it 's always right...even if it's different than all of our favorite.OK Ladies- I am having a HUGE problem choosing a dress and i thought I would ask for your input... I am between two dresses both Maggie Sottero... The first is the Vanessa- I love it , it looks good on me and it is SOO SOO comfortable ( i feel like I'm in sweatpants in it... i love it) but I have worn SOO many dresses in that same style/shape so everyone who sees it on me is like "its so you" and yes it is "So me" BUT I dont want it to look like everyother dress I've ever worn.... which may be where my problem is... The other one is the Marion,- To me it feels more bridal, I feel like a real bride, I think it also looks just good as the vanessa but its just not as comfortable... but it isn't something I would typically wear... So my question- Is it more important to feel comfortable OR to feel bridal?! Should I go with a shape that I tend to gravitate towards for other occasions because it looks good on me and works OR should I go with something that is out of my comfort zone but makes me feel more like a bride?! Either way i havent had that "THIS IS MY DRESS" moment and now I'm thinking I never will... Time is ticking down for me and I Really can't choose... Hopefully you guys can help... I'm so torn I'm considering asking my fiancee but I want him to be surprised... -

http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/162478/width/500/height/1000[/img] I've been considering something like this, or maybe a sparkly monogram letter 'L'.

Wow, what a stunning dress. I'd love to see a picture of it on you. Absolutely beautiful!i just got this dress - i am in love! it's not quite white/ivory, sort of a more silvery color (like the one in the second pic, which is making me re-think our wedding colors) but i LOVE IT! Â -
I think this hair comb is absolutely beautiful, it's so hard to draw the line, I don't want starfish overload! Ha ha. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161336/width/350/height/700[/img] And the link http://www.etsy.com/listing/99901459/starfish-collection-version-3-rhinestone?ref=usr_faveitems

Thanks again everyone for all the votes, I can't wait, my dress will be in at the end of November! Right now I'm in the middle of getting the bridesmaids dresses ordered. We've gone with Alfred Angelo, short chiffon and fuchsia pink! The girls are each choosing their own neckline.

Great thread, I'll have to read the whole thing later, so far I've done my stds: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161298/width/350/height/700[/img] Bought some hair pins, probably for the bridesmaids: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161299/width/350/height/700[/img] Here are some things that I'd like to buy or DIY: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161300/width/350/height/700[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161301/width/350/height/700[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161302/width/350/height/700[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161303/width/350/height/700[/img] http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/161304/width/350/height/700[/img]

We got the OK from our wedding coordinator at RIU PALACE PUNTA CANA, yay! My FI and I lit one up a few weeks ago in front of my bridesmaid's they were so impressed and said we HAVE to have them at our wedding. We were able to easily light one with only 2 people so I think we'll get one lantern for every couple or group of 3. Ebay seems to have a good selection.

No I haven't looked too seriously for them yet. I definitely will check it out though! Thanks.

Hello, looking for luggage tags, preferably clear plastic or tropical colors that will hold a business sized card. If you have any extra, or would like to split on an order please let me know. I need about 40 of them, and I do have a Michigan shipping address available if needed.
-
Thanks ladies! The flowers with the jewels in the middle are from Michaels, I think they were about $6 but I had the 40% off coupon. I kept one think I may make some kind of head piece out of it. The other flowers with the pearl in the middle are from Ardene, bought as part of the 5 for $10 promotion ( 2 flowers per package ). They had a bobby pin glued to the back. I just used my curling wand, that I use for my hair, and held the hot wand against the back until it melted the glue, then just slid the pin out. They worked out to be much cheaper than the Michaels flowers, and just as pretty!

So, I finally finished all 7 hangers. It was a fun project so I may continue making them for friend and family bridal showers in the future. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/160338/width/500/height/1000[/img]
2bmrstremblay, I'm glad you're giving it a try! Make sure to post some pictures of the final product. Here is a close up picture of the letter 'd' http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/160334/width/350/height/700[/img] I've run out of wire but I'll show you the steps to make the letter d on an ipod cord. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/160335/width/350/height/700[/img] First wrap the wire around a round object, I used a Lipgloss (which I also used for the other letters requiring circles - a,b,d,e,g,o,p) from back to front. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/160336/width/350/height/700[/img] Then pull the wire upwards http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/content/type/61/id/160337/width/350/height/700[/img] And bend it back down, again from back to front. I'm sorry, I don't know how to make a capital T, the main issue is that the top of the T starts at the top rather than the bottom, making your wire/words lopsided. If you have to use a T, I would suggest using all lower case letters. If you have any more questions please let me know. I hope this helps.Well i was working on these last night and was wondering if you had any suggestions for the letter "d". I too was using etsy as examples and am super impressed with how they manage to get the letters so nice. It's obviously practice makes perfect so I am going to stick with it, but was having trouble with the 'd' also will be looking for a T soon but we'll get there one day....luckily I found 5 yds of 12 gauge wire in red at michaels for under $2. It's not really the color I want but I am practicing with it for when I finally do it in silver. Thanks again for the tutorial.- 1

I checked out Venus veils, the prices are very reasonable. I'm still going to give a go at making my own, but if it doesn't turn out I'll just buy from VV.
-
We still haven't even booked anything yet. I think we'll need to get 2 group rates one departing from Toronto and the other from Detroit. I also want to make sure we get the price drop guarantee. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm starting to feel the crunch to book.

How much did it cost to have a seamstress make it?
