I have the same problem. I want to pay for the girls' hair & makeup since they are paying to come to my wedding and their dresses, I feel like it's the least I can do. But Fernando quoted me about $150 per girl and I have 5, plus our moms and myself. So I would love to see the spa prices. I know a lot of the brides on here have been very happy with the spa so I am still debating.

I have a recent email from Ana saying that the fee is $55. I asked if I could bring in Fernando Fuentes for hair and makeup and while she said I could, she really tried to push the spa on me. I thought that vendors had to be on the DRC approved vendors list, which is why we can’t pick our own djs or use those decorating companies anymore?

I love your pictures, they are beautiful. I was going back and forth on the TTD, but I am definitely going to do it now. I think these pictures are nicer than some of the regular wedding photos! I will just use my dress as well rather than buying one just for TTD.

This is all I plan on doing as well.

I've spoken with Anel from Adventure quite a few times through email. [email protected] is the one she uses. I think we are getting the $1499 package to do the TTD session as well. I can't decide, but right now that's what we are booked for.

They look great! I don't have a creative bone in my body, and people kept asking for our information so I ordered basic ones from vista print. We were happy with them. I figure I will be more creative with the invitiations... Speaking of invitations, I have read that the etiquette for destination weddings is to send the save the dates about 6 months ahead of your wedding (I sent mine out a year and a half early to give plenty of notice) and invitations 2 months... I just don't see that being enough time for the people who wait til the last minute to decide if they are going to come or not, or enough notice for my fiance and I to have the final guest list. When do you all plan to send out invitations?

I have been stuck on the idea of songs...from the ceremony right through to the reception. I came across this thread yesterday and it was really helpful to me. Thanks so much, that definitely makes sense. They were very small. I asked the girl there and she said they did have the tan & pink ones over on the wall and I searched and searched but couldn't any!

How big are the bags? I went to my local Dollar Tree last night and I did find a few fuschia tote bags, but they seemed so much smaller than the photos on here. I didn't buy them because I couldn't imaging everything fitting. I was thinking maybe they were out of the larger ones?

Haha that's funny! I just saw a thread this morning in another forum that lists everything and anything you can think of for OOT bags. It's a big help.

I definitely like price cuts haha. I just emailed Ana to see if they still allow outside vendors for flowers. A few years ago the girls could use outside vendors for everything! I guess the resort figured they were losing out on money. I decided to go with the resort photographer too. I think she takes beautiful photos. Are you doing the TTD session as well? I keep going back and forth. This week I really want to do it. We had started planning a wedding here at home and the next thing I knew the costs were out of hand! I just hate the thought of spending that on one night. My fiance was against a destination wedding until he talked to a few people that had done it. Then he changed his mind and is all about it!

Lindsey you are such a huge help! Did the resort stop allowing all outside vendors in? I want to use real flowers but those prices are ridiculous!

How big is your wedding party and how many guests are your expecting? I can't decide if I want to do the sit down dinner or the buffet. That's exciting that your save the dates are ready! I know it’s early but I’d still like to be on top of everything as early as possible so I can try to keep track of the costs as I go. I also just booked the sound technician for the ceremony, I had forgotten all about that! I do save all my emails to Ana, that is why I try to email little things every few days. So that I can use her replies as quotes to have when I get down there. I know that you visited and I’ve read you’re posts but I can’t remember, did you see any weddings while you were there? What do you think of the jacuzzi area for cocktail and the pool deck for the reception? Do you think you will get the light up dance floor? I don’t know if I really want it, but if you don’t have it does everyone just dance in the sand? Also, can heels be worn on the pool & jacuzzi deck? Do you plan on staying there afterwards for your honeymoon? I am so torn with that. I’m sorry I have so many questions! It’s a little strange planning a wedding somewhere I’ve never been!

Hi Lindsey, I am using Liberty too. I've used them for all of our travel in the past and it seems as though they always have the best prices. I am not getting married until November 2012, but I sent out save the dates already because people kept asking for the information. I did include my agents name and info, but I don't know if everyone will use her. I also contacted 2 airlines and was given discount codes. American Airlines lets you tell your agent and your agent can apply the discount as well. USAir had to be booked through their site. I hope everyone will take advantage of the travel agent and the discount! I agree with Lindsey on the booking in advance. Like I said I have over a year to go and I have already made sure I have the North Beach at 3 PM (due to the sun setting earlier in Nov.), I chose the jacuzzi for cocktail and the pool deck for reception. I also booked the DJ and Anel for photos. Lindsey, what type of questions did you receive from Yamina? I have Ana, and she is great with responding to my emails however she never sent me any questions. And she's only sent me pics & menus when I've asked. She did ask me to send her photos of flowers that I like. But I can't find any!
