No - you can even run it through the dishwasher! If you want to remove it, you can, but it will leave a sticky residue you can wash off with a scrubbie sponge.

You would use a diecutting machine - there are several at different price points. I got mine here: http://www.craftvinyl.com Unless you want to use the font that comes with the machine, you either have to buy additional font cartridges or buy the Sure Cuts A Lot software (which will let you use almost any font): http://www.craftedge.com/index.html The software has an excellent webpage with lots of how-to videos. I found these on etsy: http://www.etsy.com/listing/72962633/insulated-acrylic-tumble-with-straw They are $13, but you would get each of them personalized with the individual's name, there are no minimums, and you could get them in a couple different colors (things you can't do at discountmugs - where they all have to be identical). I didn't actually order them because I was making enough that it made more sense for me to buy the machine that makes the lettering for these and do it myself, but I had emailed with the person who makes them and she was very responsive. (Of course now I have this machine and am making labels for anything in my apartment that doesn't move out of the way!)

I got a fake e-ring to wear last time I went on vacay - I wore the fake one when I went into the ocean and the real one the rest of the time. My real ring is about one carat - find a fake ring that is "only" one carat is tough - it seems like if you're buying a fake ring, you go all out!
