Hi! Does anyone know the procedure to having a welcome dinner at the Iberostar Suites? I couldn't find a recent post on it. Do we tell Nicole in advance vis email and she will set it up or do we tell her when we arrive to Jamaica? Also, does it cost extra to do a welcome dinner? Second ques.- For the a la carte restaurants, I wonder if I could just reserve it for my entire group or if it has to be done individually by guests. Thank you!! Happy Planning!

Hi Ladies! Just wanted to let you know that I had a bunch of guests book from our travel agent and found out today that their flights have been cancelled! Continental rebooked them for a DAY LATER. It's just been a pain! This is probably due to cutbacks and what not. This is happening for all airlines. So, keep an eye out on this brides!!!!!

Hi Mrs. Marshall!!! Congrats! I just wanted to let you know that when I inquired about 3 months ago for Nov. 2011 dates they were fully booked every weekend for the Iberostar Suites except for the Thanksgiving weekend. I don't know if that is still available now. I opted for Sunday, Aug. 21st. Hope that helps!

I was wondering if any brides just had their cocktail and/or reception at the Iberostar Suites and had the ceremony off the resort?

Hi Brides! I am using a destination wedding travel agent who has quoted me $200/night/person for Aug. 2011. for the Suites. I saw on Expedia from Newark, NJ 3 nights hotel + air is about $900. The travel agent says she will match the lowest price/shop around with wholesalers to find promos. Not sure what that means but once I book my trip with her hopefully this will make sense. The TA told me she booked a wedding for May 2011 for $142night/person at the Suites. Hopefully she can get me a deal like that for our guests! Air is averaging $340/person/roundtrip from Newark, NJ.

Hi All! I've been going through the same thing now. I just confirmed for Aug. 2011. So now I'm trying to get the air and hotel rates figured out. I've been checking frequently online (eg Expedia) and the packages seem to be the best way to go. The rates for the rooms alone are ridiculous. The air is not bad ($330/person from NJ). The average package rate for the Suites are about $900/person for 3 nights for air and hotel. Grand is $1000 and Beach is $800. So about $100 difference btw. the 3. I also been working with a destination travel agent who will be giving me some lower room rates. For now, that's all I have. If anyone else has anything to share it would be so greatly appreciated.
