Thanks for making an attempt to change the thread name 82turtles!! Hopefully they can change it one day. I do follow the other Now Riviera Cancun thread and they are very 'Jade Specific'. I will always consider this one the Best!! :-) I also try to let other Now Sapphire brides know about this one....I know it has helped me out sooo much!

Hi RFinger, It's called ' Paradisus Riviera Brides '. It is called that because the resort was previoulsy the Paradisus and it was bought by the Now resorts last May. There is also the thread called Now Riviera Cancun, but that thread has mostly Now Jade brides. I have learned so much from the Paradisus thread and everyone is so helpful! Enjoy! -Amy

Hi Micaela....I am getting married at the Now Sapphire in March of 2012. I have had a great plannig experience so far with the wedding planner at the resort, Sandra, and the other ladies on this forum. You shuld also check out the ' Paradisus Riviera Brides ' thread. Paradisus is what the Now Sapphire used to be called so the thread hasn't changed it's name but there is a lot of useful information on there from past and present Now Sapphire brides! :-) I am planning on having only approx. 25 - 30 guests. Our ceremony is on the beach and our reception is on the Ocean Terrace (in between the pool and the beach). I chose the Divine Wedding package. Happy Planning! :-)

echraide, I think your dad is right, lol. I'll give them a few more months before I start the nagging, hehe! He also brings up a good point about requesting for vacation at his place of employment. My only issue is that the guests final payment to my travel agent is due Jan. 15, so hopefully people are able to 'lock in' their 2012 vacation weeks sooner. :- / I forgot to mention that my parents are throwing us a party (reception) when we return, so I am also including that invitation along with my formal invites to my DW. I didn't want to send the At-Home-Reception invites too early because then people would tend to forget about it, especially if they're not going to my DW, so that is why I am sending the invotes 4 months prior. Whenever you decide to send them will be fine! :-)

lianee, I am a Now Sapphire bride too (March 16)!!! Are you following the thread for the Sapphire also? CONGRATS on setting your date!!!

Congrats echraide!! I mailed out my Save The Date's approx. 1 year in advance and I think I am going to send out my formal invites 4 months before my wedding and allow 6 weeks for my friends & family to RSVP. I jut know that I need to give my hotel my final count 2 months before my wedding and my travel agent has set a payment plan deadline for 2 months out as well. I am also in the same boat as you when it comes to trying to 'nudge' my friends & family that have verbally said they are coming. My wedding date is March 16, 2012 and NO ONE has officically booked or reserved a room, it's actually starting to concern me. I just keep telling myself that people have time to book and I have to try not to think about it.

I was also amazed at how fast my save the dates made it to my guests. I live in South Jersey and it seemed to only take a day for most of them to be delivered within NJ & PA. Now you can definitely sit back & relax! :-)

Thank you girls for sharing all of your AHR plans. They all sound so exciting!!! I am going to try and lock in my AHR venue in the next few months. My wedding is March 2012 (in Mexico) and I would like to have my AHR at the beginning of April 2012. How far in advance did all of you lock in your venues?
