Which resorts were you looking at? I'm February 11, 2012 at Azul Sensatori...you're only the 3rd February Mexico I've seen so far Welcome and Congratz!

I officially found my dress and my wedding shoes The dress is from David's which I always thought I was never a fan...but it turns out...i love it there And the shoes were a fluke outing to DSW... The dress is a picture of a picture...so not the greatest....the top is a plain halter...but the skirt is the perfect amount of flowy...no train.... The shoes have purple and clear crystals...and my colors are all shades of purple....

I'm kind of just sitting back and just letting things happen right now...In my head...I've been planning for the last 7 months and it's almost all-consuming...for everyone else...they really do have another 8-9 months to decide what they want to do.... I always wanted it to be very small...I didn't even really want to invite anyoen except immediate family and best freinds....I was fine leaving a majority of the aunts/uncles/cousins off the list...so...all i can do is wait and see what happens.... I'm not too concerned with my people not paying if and when they do decide to book...it's more I think they won't book at all How's it going with your famiily?

For all past Brides/anyone eho's been to the resort... Is there a bar where they have dancing? I know the teen club changes...which seems cool...but in any of the bars with "nightly entertainment"? I know this has probably been asked and answered millions of times.... Thanx

Just need to vent for a second.....So..FI calls me today and tells me that he just talked to his mom....she said that she been talking to her sisters and neices and nepher (so FI's aunts and cousins) and they, at this point, don't think they will be able to come to the wedding. FI has been telling me from Day Freaking 1 that his family are all travelers and they would for sure be there at this can't miss event....wheras I was constantly saying...nope...they're not coming so I would rather not invite all these people and keep it super small and leave it at that. So...part if the reason I did a group agreement was for all this family that FI was so freaking sure would be coming....now I'm getting nervous that we'll have to pay the penatlies for all the rooms we don't fill (luckily we didn't do a huge group agreement..only 16 rooms...but still) Also...his mom was saying that they don't even know if they can afford to go....and she would rather just give us whatever $$$ they have and use it towards the wedding..... is it wrong that I'm totally ok with that? I feel bad for FI...but seriously...you've now known about the wedding since last July (7 months ago) and you had to know that one day your son would be getting married (not even talking to me...just in general) so...how have you not been saving AT ALL for this???? Done venting..... I know I have my mom and my 2 friends coming and I'm good (I've been saying that since the beginning...as long as my mom and my friend Dawn are there...I'm happy) I just think FI had unrealistic expectations from the very beginning....and we've heard nothing from his Dad either (they're divorced). You would think his parents would be there....but...whatever..... Now..I'm really done venting

Both dresses are really pretty....I love the flowiness of the skirt in the 2nd picture... Who is the designer for the 1st one? I was looking at pics awhile ago..and there is a Justin Alexander dress very similar to that one that i fell in love with originally....but I decided against to be more simple (as I had the big lace ballgown for my 1st wedding). I went dress shopping Staurday also...was supposed to go with my mom...but she got sick..and I wound up by myself...which actually turned out ok since i got to decide what i liked as opposed to what my mom didn't like I went to david's and was actually dead-set on not liking anything but i found a dress that i loved...that with the sales going on there right now is so ridiculously cheap that i have no choice but to get it. It's a simple halter on top with a flowy-ish sort of skirt...very flattering...and then I figure super sparkly dangling earrings. I'll probably go back and order sometime next month.

Just an FYI for those of you using a GI wedding consultant.....it looks like they borough back a promotion they had in 2010 for the choice of a welcome cocktail....$350 off photo package...or Bridal Spa Package when you book through a GIWC. Before it was only offered to brides booking in 2010 for 2010 weddings....on the website right now...I don't see any dates listed at all.... That's so cool Last weigh-in is March 25th...knowing that you'll be gone, I'm still ok with you bing part of the competition as long as no one else has a problem with it. I wouldn't worry so much about the weight...just do a lot of walking and exploring and you can try to be semi-healthier and just have a little taste of all the good stuff. Bring a pic of your wedding dress with you as motivation!

OMG...I don't even know what to say to you....They had better be giving you a shitload of freebies and discounts. I can't believe that this is happening and it would be the wedding party they choose to move...it should be other guests...NOT the person who is bringing a freaking group and getting married.
