  3. I just checked out the Sealed with Spice website... i LOVE the inspiration for both of those invites! Too bad my wedding won't be until Oct 2011... those are gorgeous!

I must've mistakenly read somewhere that ME was all inclusive but apparently it isn't so thanks for the clearification! I'm looking for an all-inclusive so I won't need the ME info.
  5. Hi girls! I'm leaning toward getting married at Dreams Cabo, but want to check out ME by Melia. Do you girls have any pricing from the hotel that you can post? I'm curious if it'd be comparable to Dreams' pricing. Thanks!
  6. Welcome to the forum fellow Chicago girlie! I just found the forum 2 days ago and am ADDICTED. Work is really interfering w/ my opportunity to search all the threads. ; )
  7. Thanks, ladies! And thanks for the recommendation, Tammy B! We'll be inviting ~200ppl to the wedding and I think we'll get about 60-70 to show? (Hope it's not too much more.) With all of the requirements the resorts want for a legal ceremony, we decided to skip the headache and just do a religious one. I'm absolutely LOVING this forum and so glad I found it!! Although I'm sure my boss isn't too happy about it, lol. ; )

If you choose Dreams, you won't be disappointed Hi Heather - thanks for the reviews! I'll be getting married in Cabo on Oct 14, 2011 and I'm considering Dreams. Couple of questions (if I'm being a little intrusive I apologize and pls feel free not to answer those Q's : ) 1) how many ppl did you invite, and how many ppl actually came? 2) how long was your open bar and how much did they charge per person? 3) were you able to negotiate a fixed priced AI deal for your guests so that you could commincate it to them on the save the dates? I'm hoping to get an AI deal for our guests that would be ~$850pp...think this is reasonable? We'll be inviting about 200 ppl and I'm figuring about 60-70 will show? 4) it's still hurricane season in Cabo during Oct but I've read somewhere else this is also a high travel season? are prices decent during Oct, or is it really peak season already? (have to admit i'm a little worried about the weather, but I really want the wedding on Oct 14 as it will be 4 yrs to the day we met : ) 5) last one...promise ; ) ... if you could re-do the wedding or select different options/vendors at Dreams, would you do anything different? Really appreciate the review you posted and the teaser pics - you looked phenomenal!! Michelle
  9. Ditto... Cabo bride! User Name: mpeter81 Name: Michelle Location: Chicago Wedding: Oct 14, 2011... considering the Dreams vs. RIU Palace/Santa Fe
  10. I've read so many great reviews about Dreams Los Cabos and I'm excited about potentially booking my wedding there! Your pics look GORGEOUS. Which private location did you guys select for the reception? The photos there REALLY look great!
  11. Hi All! Planning an all-inclusive destination wedding for Oct 14, 2011 in Mexico... I know it's hurricane season during that time, so I'm looking to have it at a location on the Pacific side rather than the Gulf. So far Cabo is the leading runner for the destination wedding. I've looked at a couple pkgs and they seem to have a lot of "fluff" stuff that I don't need (i.e. gift flute glasses for the bride and groom, turndown, etc) so I'm planning to piecemeal everything together that I want. Starting out... anyone know of any good wedding books or binders I should consider getting from the bookstore? Also, any know of pro's and con's to hiring a travel coordinator, and hiring a wedding coordinator for the day-of? Thanks! Michelle
