Hey girls! We have less than a week before we leave for Azul Fives for our 6/4 wedding!! I haven't been on as much because it's been a whirlwind, my FI started having pain and swelling last Friday night and we got him to urgent care and he was diagnosed with a septic infection in his knee.... couldn't walk or move it...lots of pain! Tuesday (at the 3rd doctor/specialist visit) they said they wanted to "cut it"/surgery. Which would mean maybe we could make it Mexico, but no swimming, pain meds and crutches!! I am happy to say after a lot of crying and prayers, his visit today went well, swelling and pain are subsiding and the doctor thinks we can supress it until after we get back! We have another visit Tuesday and we leave Wednesday - so keeping hopes up, but it sounds like should be good to go!!! Thank God!!!
I wanted to ask you girls who are on Facebook to do me a big favor??? We told our parents and siblings and that was it. We married at our house (we live on the water) and the parents made a bigger deal of it than we had wanted but it was a nice day. I didn't feel married then at all though b/c I had planned everything for Mexico.Originally Posted by Mwise17

I went to a dermatologist and just started using a retinol cream (has retin-a which is like the best for your skin). I thought about the peels and all but I've never seen a major change from one so I opted to use my certificate for a massage instead.
For the second one, sorry, can't help ya. If you saw my pics, I got kinda Mexican looking at the beach!! Lol

Hey Justine,
Some airlines have closets that they can put it in, but mine did not. The stewardesses told me to put my dress in a full bin and shut the door. That way no one could put anything on top of it. So, it laid flat inside the bin and came out fine. I also paid to have it steamed before the wedding.

Hey girls, I just noticed something which may be of interest for brides to be. Make sure they clean the plank walk way. In looking at Jaime's pics, the walkway looks great. They didn't clean it for mine, and it looks funky. Here's a pic.
There were petals put down right before, but the walkway should still be cleaned.

Jesse, my coordinator was Claudia who Olympia (the girl I originally met when we arrived says is a stickler). Olympia was supposed to see what she could do about having them drape the shears for me but she wasn't there on our wedding day.
Justine, We shot in sooo many locations!! Like Murmel said, the wall is the front of the resort. There's also a pretty fountain type thing there where we took pics and the sky should look really pretty in the background of those. You have the tall steps that are lit up at night, the bridges, lots of tropical areas (the pic I have on here was taken right outside the Spoons Restaurant. There's a cute carriage by the yellow restaurant (can never remember the names), and Le Chique is a cool place to take pics but we didn't. There's the pier, many palm trees, the beach. The list goes on.
I originally wanted to travel for the TTD session but I figured it might be too much of a headache so we did it at the resort, and I think got some cute shots. I am sooo anxious to see them all! -

My skin doesn't break out too often, and I was on BC, so I can't say how much it helped with that. I just know the dermatologist highly recommends using something with retin-a b/c it gives your skin nutrients it needs. She also gave me a moisturizer with sunblock, and showed me how bad even the standard sunrays are. I more or less wanted to get into a skincare regimen to help keep my skin looking young. I think a dermatologist would be a great start.
I wore a veil and while it was all over the place, I wouldn't have changed it. I think it made me look more "bridal." I even kept it on for the reception, and it saved me from balling coming down the aisle. It whipped me in the face as we were coming down the aisle and I laughed and pushed it out of the way.
