  1. Dreams Riviera is amazing! My FI and I just got back from our site visit earlier this month and it truly was a dream come true
  2. Congratulations, this site is not only helpful but very addicting. I am getting married at Dreams Riviera on November 27, 2010 My FI and I have already done the site visit and we are very confident that Dreams will be the perfect location for our destination wedding.
  3. Wonderful Review. Thank you for taking the time to share. So glad you had such a great experience. Congrats!
  4. My bridesmaids dresses are apple red and I feel so bad I know my FI wanted the Tommy Bahama look but all of us are a little bit too fancy for that. I loved seeing all the pics and it gave me some great ideas. Thanks!
  5. Congratulations! We are getting married at Dreams Riviera. We have already stayed there and it truly is a dream come true. We observed 2 weddings and they were beautiful. The wedding planner at the resort takes forever to get back to you but she is amazing and she puts together a beautiful celebration. Your travel agent will have better luck than you communicating with ALL the resort wedding planners.
  6. For anyone interested, attached is the wedding package price list for Adventure Photos. The Dreams Resort photographers. 7. We just went for a site-visit in May, we are getting married November 27, 2010 Ana and her assistant were amazing from what we could see. The resort was truly a dream come true. We went Memorial Day weekend and it was almost at full capacity and we would never have known. The service was incredible and the guests were all so friendly. We did meet 2 families that had switched from Dreams Cancun because of the rowdiness. Dreams Riviera is brand new so of course it is up to date and simply georgeous. It is not a big resort which we loved we could get from A to B fast and we often ran into the new friends we had made. Now that we are home, we have remained in contact with the couples we met (gotta love facebook) We are so excited to go back to heaven and I can officially be Mrs. Judy Francis

I believe when I spoke to Ana she told me that the price for the sound system would be under $400 for both the ceremony and reception. Maybe this is because we are not having a cocktail hour.

Cathy We used Cancun Airport Transfer - Cancun International Airport during our site visit. It was $70 for 2people to and from the airport. From the time landed and made it through customs we were at the resort in 20 mins. We had the van all to our selves. Good service

Kat- we went for a site vist and will be married this November. We actually got engaged in November 2009 but didn't have any pictures of the proposal. The video my fiance arranged didn't turn out so good because of the low light conditions. Adventure photos has an office right on the resort. We just walked right in and scheduled an appointment. They did such a great job we're considering using them for the full package. Just yesterday I sent an email requesting the price list for weddings. When I recieve it I will post it. Judy

I already had an extensive list of music that I wanted the dj to play but I'll just throw it on an iPod and the special songs on a cd. For those ladies that were married here... how did you pack your dress? I have a full size dress (not a "destination" dress) and I'm thinking of just putting it in a suitcase and sending it back with my parents. Did you just take is a a carry on or pack it up? I'm so excited! we leave in 42 days... Cathy- The iPod is definately the way to go. While we were at Dreams last month we got to see 3 weddings. 2 of them chose to do the music themselves by using the iPod. Several others who were getting married later in the week also were going the iPod route. Seeing that there was no difference at the receptions is what made us decide to skip the dJ. Besides preparing your own music selection makes it more memorable. Judy

Its also a brand new resort and its wedding packages are comparable to the other resorts in the area. We visited Dreams last month and experienced it for ourselves. The food is excellent and the service was great. We saw 3 weddings while we were there and met with several brides. Each ceremony was beautiful and everyone was very happy with the wedding coordinator Ana.

One of the ladies a couple of pages back mentioned it wasnt great during Thanksgiving, we are going mid November so a week before but I wonder if some people now go for two weeks, hmmmm, jeez I am looking forward to being able to sleep again once this is all over. My travel agent told me the same thing last month. We are getting married Nov. 27 which is over the Thanksgiving weekend. I fully expect there will be a lot of kids due to it being a holiday weekend. Hopefully, you're not bothered by kids. We visited the resort over Memorial Day weekend and it was somewhat full with adults and not a lot of kids. We never had to wait when going to a restaurant or at the bar. I believe the resort is big enough it can easly handle being fully booked. Yes, the cost for airfare increases every week so those who haven't booked should expect to pay an arm and a leg. The time to do itt is now.

I emailed the credit card authorization with our info and credit card info but she hasn't charge my card yet. She did confirm with me my date but I will feel much better once the deposit is down. When I booked back in December 2009, I had to scan my credit card, ID and a signature release and email it to Ana. The $500 deposit was applied to my account fairly quickly.

Is now the time to start freaking out since SHE WILL NOT EMAIL BACK I know she is busy, and I have respected that for the past few months and have not emailed her, but honestly, over the course of this planning, I have only emailed her about 7 or 8 times in a year... I DO NOT think that is unreasonable, and half of them were repeated emails because she didn't answer my question!!! WTF!! Relax, Relax, Relax. My FI and I just returned from a site visit during Memorial Day weekend. We were able to meet with Ana for 2 hours. Yes, we did have an appointment but she was extremely flexible. We ran into her several times while we were there and she gave us all the time we needed to ask questions. We also had difficulty with her responding but keep trying. While we were there we got to see 3 weddings and each were beautiful. In addition, we got to meet with several other couples recenlty or soon to be married there. It is a common complaint that Ana does not respond in a timely fashion but in the end everyone was happy with the results. Ana knows what she is doing. Exactly when is your wedding- September 2010?
