Oh, lol, I meant that it was the 3 dress I have tried on, not that I need 3 dresses! My sister swears that i will just want to wear my wedding dress again, and really I have the opportunity to wear it twice, so will probably just do that. Do brides wear their dresses again at the AHR?? I hope so! Ya, we are going to go dress shopping on Thursday. Just want to make sure I am not missing out on something! I love that dress but am not sold on the corset back, altho the lady assured me they are amazing for your figure, so maybe that will win me over. Doesn't help that I tried it on in size 14 and the whole back was clipped up so hard to tell what it will look like.

I am the opposite. I have 5 bridesmaids and FI only has 2 groomsment at the moment. I think he will ask my brother in law and sisters boyfriend closer to the date, he does not feel any need to have a plan in place at the moment. I think that it's fine if the numbers are off, I like the pictures where they are not all matcy anyways. I have been in 2 weddings where myself and another bridesmaid had to "share" a GM, lol so we walked down the aisle both holding one of his arms, it was cute!

Oh and I was going to post this link, I tried on this dress and fell in love with it, but don't want to buy the 3rd dress I try on, so many more out there! I am only about 5'4 and have no curves, so I love this dress makes me feel like I have some. Just wanted to share! I am wondering if it is beachy enough? I guess it is appropriate! Also it is under $800 with 25% off if I get it before end of august. Maybe I have been watching too many say yes to the dress episodes with 10,000 dresses, but isn't that super reasonable?! I tried it on in diamond white. can you see it?

Hi ladies! So we are in the process of picking our wedding package. is it my imagingation or is the free sweet wedding package actually the same or better than the pearl package?? i think we will ask for the free package and then spend the money on photographer. FI is not sold on a private reception, he thinks the restaurant is just fine. I am not sure, I need to find a review from someone who's done it! Then we would just go to the disco after? I am going to talk to my Mom about it, if she will pay for it then FI has no argument to why we can't have it lol. Crossing my fingers! Anyone else going to the Spoon? Do you have to just decorate your own tables or just have it how the restaurant already looks. I am not sure about this!

So canadians don't qualify for the bride & groom stay free?? That is not fair! My FI is convinced that is the reason we are doing a destination wedding *sigh* So I just got our date last week and need to send out invitations asap!! What is the fastest way to do this. If I bring a sample of what I want to Staples can they make copies there for me on the paper I like? I don't want to order from a website and have to wait a few weeks to get them. I am wondering if it's possible to get them done by the weekend. Ok ladies, any advice how to get these invites asap?! Also I have been so busy reading all the past posts that i haven't been posting much myself, even though I have been spending lots of time here looking at old posts! how am I ever gonna get out of noob status?!

Hello ladies, I am working my way through the 400's . . . getting there! need a break! I am trying to stay focused on looking for posts about wedding packages and where you had your receptions but I keep getting sidetracked reading things and looking at other topics lol. I would love to see some pics, especially of the Zocallo or the Zavaz, altho we haven't talked about it yet and FI might want to have reception on the beach. yay!! We just got our date confirmed! April 25th, 2011 at 4pm. getting married at the catholic chapel at El Dorado Maroma, but reception back at AS. Next I have to tell officially "meet" the WC and tell her what wedding package we want. I am going to be busy reading the older posts tomorrow at work, hope it is not too busy lol, lots to read. also don't know what reception dinner options we have. I would have written back to all of you who were kind enough to welcome me, but I'm not down with multi-quoting yet! Also my ticker is so small! Haha, oh well at least i figured out how to do it. Hello Ladies! Well, I just wanted to say hello and say that I am waiting for our date confirmation at Azul Sensatori, then it will finally be official and I'm so excited! I am so happy to be able to talk to other brides from A.S. My date would be April 25, 2011. I thought things would seem easier once I picked a resort lol, now we seem to have many more things to do, wedding packages, getting guests to pay on time to get the right rate etc. I feel like I might start driving my friends/co-workers and family crazy with wedding talk so i am happy to have this forum, you all know what I am going through!

I can't seem to find any info on getting married at Barcelo Maya Beach, only lots on the palace. I only have a quote for the Beach. Can someone help me find some Barcelo Maya Beach brides? I have only found one very small thread. Am I not looking in the right place? Please help!! Thank you!

My TA quoted me $692 for a child over 2 at Reef Playacar and Grand Suite Princess (which I haven't found any info on, maybe I have name mixed up?) and $1032 at the Sensatori.

Group pricing Riu Lupita leave April 19 1325 pp Riu Lupita leave April 20 1275 pp Riu Yucatan 1776 pp Riu Palace 2187 pp but still waiting for group prices on these. Reef Playacar 1122 pp Wed April 20th departure Does anyone know anything about this hotel or weddings there? I haven't seen anything about it?? By far the cheapest one . . . but why!! Grand Suite Princess 1341 Apr 20th departure can't seem to find this, maybe the name is not quite right?? I am still waiting on pricing for a few others. Have you girls got comparable prices for these?? I also really like the Sensatori Azul and Barcelo Maya COlonial, hoping to get prices soon. Thanks Ladies!!

I am so glad I am not the only one!! I feel so behind! I am working with a TA to help me. Really liked the RIU but think it's too expensive. It is an overwhelming task looking for the resort, I will be so happy when we get a resort and wedding date! Glad to see I am in good company!

Thanks Ladies. We still haven't decided on a resort yet. I got quotes for the Riu but it is more expensive than I would like for our guests. The Valentin Imperial Maya is an adult only resort?? Too bad! My sister has a 6 month old baby and our best friends have a 2 year old so we need a kid friendly resort. I have a TA now helping me look into everything so we will keep looking. Re: Catholic Ceremony right around Easter in Mayan Riviera?? April 2011 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We initially planned to get married in RM on Easter weekend as well but I soon found out that many of the vendors I wanted to hire weren't available during that weekend... make sure you check that out. Hmm, this doesn't sound very good then! What vendors were you looking into that were booked? I haven't got that far yet! Thanks for your advice!

I am not sure if anyone will be able to help me out, but I will at least feel better sharing this! My FI and I love RM and are looking at a few locations. Price is a deciding factor, don't want to bankrupt our guests, but my biggest deciding factor is that my Mom is a teacher and can only come to my wedding over March Break (too expensive!) and over Easter weekend which we are looking at. So in the catholic church you can't get married on Easter. Good Friday is the 22 of April, Easter Sunday the 24 and Easter Monday the 25th. That leaves Thurs April 21st and Sat April 23rd. I don't know if they will even marry us on these days at the resorts. Not sure how I go about finding this out. Any other Catholic brides there?? The only other option is to wait til end of June/first week of July when she is done school. Isnt that the start of the rainy season?? Any help/advice would be much appreciated.
