Hi We are planning marrying at the Gran Caribe Real Resort in March 2012 so this thread will be useful will keep an eye out for some info and tips

Michelle2011 thats exactly what my thoughts were but i mentioned i had seen a package on the hotel website and they were adamant that if booking with First Choice i would have to book the basic package and then add on at each individual cost which i find bizarre!!!! Maybe it might be worth me speaking to Thomas Cook and see if they could book this resort even though they dont advertise it??

Hi I am a March 2012 bride to be from the UK also thinking of Gran Caribe Real Resort the reviews on trip advisor all seem great and the info on the website is really good to and the chapel looks amazing, although we are probably going to opt for a beach ceremony. 2012 seems so far away though!

Thanks for all the info so far ladies :-) I am totally baffled, today i went into first choice to ask some questions regarding wedding packages as i have seen a specific wedding package that i would like on the hotels website so wanted to know if the TA offer it and for how much it would be. The TA replied that we would have to book the basic wedding package with them which would be £795 and then add everything on individually!!! now what the wedding package i want offers would cost totally more with the TA booking everything seperatly than booking the package direct with the hotel, i dont know if i would be able to book the holiday with the TA and book the wedding direct with the hotel would this cause problems?? I am totally lost

Hi Ladies I am a newbie to this forum but also from the UK. Planning to marry in March 2012 at the Gran Caribe Real Resort in Cancun are there any other brides marrying here? We are booking through First Choice as they seem to be the only agent that offer the Gran Caribe, unless anyone knows of any others What happens once you have booked your wedding are you given a wedding co-ordinator? most people on here mention having discussions with their wedding co-ordinator to sort arrangements nd things. Also does anyone know how long it roughly takes for the blood results to come back after you have had the tests? So many questions and i am not getting married until 2012 lol

Hi We are planning our wedding for March 2012 and have been choosing our destintion and think we may have decided on the Gran Caribe Real Resort in Cancun Mexico. Just wondered if there are any other UK brides getting married here, what are you experiences so far? Which agent have you booked through?, i can only seem to find First Choice who provide this resort. The Gran Caribe seems to have loads to offer and seems very family friendly which is essential for us as there will be lots of children with us. Would be lovely to here from anyone who has been married at this resort or is planning to marry here
