  1. I took a separate suitcase JUST for the items in my OOT bag.
  2. I found them online -- or on this website. I have attached the template incase you're interested. first_aid_kit_label[1].doc
  3. @Josie - I'm not sure. I started to collect things for in the bags over a period of almost a year. So I'd pick up things here and there as I came across them, so I don't have any idea what they cost per bag until all was said and done. I can tell you that nothing in the bag was expensive on it's own. I would peruse the dollar stores and e-bay regularly and pick things up as I found them at a good price. I hope that helps!
  4. I found them at Target. If you can't find them there, I'd check Amazon.com or ebay- I got a few things from both of those places as well.
  5. I think it depends on how formal you want your wedding to be. We invited our male guests to wear shorts as well and my husband opted for them as well. They were all comfortable and no one wore grubby shorts. Most of the ladies wore sundresses and my dress wasn't overly formal, so it worked for us.
  6. Here is the form you requested for proof of spinstership and/or bachelorhood. Affidavit for Turks Caicos.doc
  7. We did 1 per family. So in the room with my sister, her husband and kids, we did 1 bag ... but in 1 room we had 4 single guests - so we did one for each of them.
  8. Sllefebvr: I'll look - I don't think I have the image saved on my computer anymore, but I'll see if I can find it for you.
  9. Trimalusta - We tried to tip the gentleman who carried our bags to the room and he declined my husband's $$. We did not tip anyone, EXCEPT for the folks at the Spa and we did an snorkle trip and tipped the captain and his helper on the boat (and they accepted). Other than that, we didn't tip anyone else - and still got FANTASTIC service. Kendall
  10. @Wendy5512: I don't remember. I want to say we tipped like $50 to the captain and $25 to the skipper or something like that.
  11. Glad I could share something helpful! The girl at the scuba shop called and asked the "skipper" if he would be willing to do it because we wanted to do a snorkle trip, but had more people than they take on the hourly trips at the resort. He agreed. I believe my husband tipped the skipper and his assistant after the excursion -- but it was definitely cheaper than paying to privately charter the Katt! Wendy - Our airfare (out of BWI) was like $500 per person and that was for this past May.
  12. Wendy - We had 25 people in our party. We debated doing the private Katt Cruise but then didn't want to spend the $$. HOWEVER, we had several of our guests express an interested in the Beaches Snorkeling Boat trip (which is free for guests), however, they could not accomodate our whole party on one of their regular daily trips -- they offered to privately charter one for us in the bigger boat "after hours". It was AWESOME! I think they charged like $25 a person. It was just us and our 25 guests and they took us out to the reef and we snorkeled for 1 hour (they provided bottled water, but no other refreshments) and then they returned us to Beaches. I believe we went at like 4:30 or 5pm (I forget exactly) and saw TONS of beautiful fish. They don't advertise it, but if you ask at the Snorkeling Office, they may be willing to do this. Just a thought if you have a bunch of people interested and don't want to spend the $$$$ for the Katt Cruise. Our guests ranged in age from 4-73 and everyone snorkeled and loved it! In fact, we had a few guests tell us that was one of the highlights of their trip. ... just a thought!
  13. Timswife2B: It took about 7 weeks for us to get our official certificate. It looked almost identical to the certificates we were given by the minister at the resort. Just so you know, I took one of the notarized certificates that we were given at the wedding to Social Security and they let me change my name with that (since it had a notary seal on it) and then was able to change my Driver's License, etc. also. So you probably don't have to wait for the actual marriage license. The marriage certificates seemed to work. Hope that helps!
  14. This is my husband's 2nd marriage and mine as well. I have a 15 year old daughter who lives with us and my husband has a 14 year old daughter (who we see every other weekend). We have a dog and a cat. We purchased the travel insurance. For $99 we thought it was better to be safe than sorry incase something would happen.
  15. Lizzdee, We booked 10 rooms. My husband got a free massage and I got a free mani/pedi. Also, we received a free rehearsal dinner -- which we turned into a Welcome Dinner for our guests the night after everyone arrived. We also received a free cocktail and h'orderves hour prior to our private reception. Our TA told us this was because we booked 10 rooms that we got these perks.
  16. Hi Wendy! Congrats! If you have any questions, just post them. You will get lots of answers! Kendall
  17. Oops - sorry celticgirl - did you mean the velum bags? I got those at www.myweddingreceptionideas.com and then had them personalized with silver writing.
  18. Lizzdee - We had the tenderloin and chicken. ALL 25 of our guests picked the tenderloin - it was WONDERFUL. In fact, several guests told us it was the best they ever had - it melted in your mouth. We never got to try the chicken or hear how that was since no one ordered it. EVERYTHING they made was wonderful. We had the 1 cocktail hour prior to our reception and told the chef to chose what he wanted to make. It was fabulous! Jalepeno poppers, little egg rolls, steamed shrimp, cheese, fruit, sushi, etc. Our guests raved about that as well. For our welcome dinner we had the steak -- it was tasty as well. The only thing we had that weren't impressed with was the tropical fruit torte (I think that's what it was called) and we (nor our guests) cared much for that. I honestly don't think you'll be disappointed with any meal selection you chose. We opted not to have the mahi mahi because some of our guests weren't big fish eaters. But I'm sure that is very good as well!!!!
