Yes we were told this back end of last year. Although we still took Dollars. Check with you hotel as ours still accepted both USD and Pesos. When we were off resort they wouldnt accept USD in the shops but took them for tips. Our hotel changed dollars at the reception to pesos if we needed them. We did have to change some money once or twice as they only took Pesos when we booked day trips, but we did book these off our resort. We also had our debit and credit cards with us too :-) There was a cash machine about 1 min walk from our hotel enterance which despenced Pesos. So you could always use that option. xx

I have to agree... this resort is wonderful :-) We were there from May 1st to May 15th and i think we saw one baby cockroach in a corridor.. as V has just said this is a tropical destion, with warm weather and humidity.... I would be very very very suprised if you would find any resort that has NEVER had a cockroach or bug.... This is in no way a bad reflection on the hotel or their staff, im sure if they didnt care about bugs we would find them everywhere, but there will always be one bug once in a while that will get past any bug spray or other bug repelant, this doesnt mean its infested with them.... Its a fantastic resort and im sure you will agree :-)

Hey herbie... Thats the great thing about DW's you can change your mind last min :-) As it would be more difficult to do that at home :-) We did exactly the same, changed rooms, changed locations etc :-) Hope you enjoy the sharks!!! I cant see the pix :-( Bonnie CANT wait for yours :-) & agree with Bonnie & Mexbride.... DONT change your plans for your family and friends, at the end of the day you are getting married for you, arent you? so why have it dictaited to you where you should have your wedding? We had 7 of us at ours but ofcourse we would have loved everyone there but if we changed our minds and had it here in the UK then we would have been doing it for everyone else and to us getting married is about US not everyone else, Ofcourse we missed those who werent there but the AHR made up for that.... :-) Getting married in Mexico was the BEST decision we EVER had, wouldnt change it for the world and would do it again in a hreat beat, just the way it was... PERFECT :-) And what WE wanted, after all it was OUR WEDDING xx

Yes I had make up done by the resort, and to be honest i DONT have a clue what make up it was.... but it was great :-) Perfect for the heat anyway x OMG those shoes... Absolulty stunning, really really nice x I love them x I would love to get a shoot doen for hubby, although i have no confidence, maybe in a year for our 1st anniversary i may do it if i can shed a few pounds first :-) You hubby willl love it x We never did pressies for each other to be honest we were thinking of it but chose not to x OMG, Your off..... I am so happy to see you have gone back to choosing the RPRM... OMG you will most definatly in no way shape or form be disapointed.... I would say you have absolutly made the right choice... Back back back in the day we looked at the Riu Palace in Aruba... but we found out you couldnt get married at the resort you had to go to the ceremont site of the hotel grounds, also we had always alwyas alwyas wanted to go to Mexico... and after so much research (probably the hardest part of wedding planning) we chose RPRM.... Hey Mellisa, I can sympathise with you on looking for a resort. for us it was the hardest part of all for the wedding planning. We choose Riu Palace Riviera Maya and couldnt be happier with our choise. Hey Rachael, welocme to the forum, WOW so many "new" brides coming along.... hope your going to share your planning with us, I miss it x Nic x I know what you mean, so hard to get used to, its like i always new i was changing my name and used to joke about it but now its real its wierd, I love it but ive had my old name for 32 years and now its just gone.... Its wierd for me to as I work in a building sociey and the "authorised" signature I use to sign cheques hasnt yet changed to my married name, so not only am i trying to get used to signing my new name everywhere i have to remember to sign my "old" name on cheques until the bank of england has changed it over!! SOOO Im forcing myself to do my "new" name but am constantly hesitating as i really have to think about what official documents im signing...lol, hope it will be much easier when they have the right sig on record!!! I love having conversations though which involve Stephen... im like "oh i said to my HUSBAND this and I said to my HUSBAND that" and so on!!! hehe :-) & I love that my name badge now has my married name on!! Ooooo the small things, and all my diarys and outlook etc has now changed... making it more and more official day by day :-) x

Hi Selina, as Michelle says, what hotel/resort are you going? We needed passports, tourist cards & FULL birth cetificates..... As a general rule, it depends on the hotel by the way we have all done different things, but im sure you WC will be fully up to date on any changes and will let you know :-) x Whaen and where you going? :-)
