Even though our family has already booked the trip I still want to send out formal invitations. I don't know how to word that the wedding is in the gazebo (as of now), and it's at the Royal Playa del Carmen in Playa del Carmen. Do I put Mexico? Or Riviera Maya? Or just call it The Royal, without the PDC afterwards? I have all of the other wording figured out, just not the location part. ~Ashley

I had read on a review from last March that the best thing the bride didn't do was the cocktail hour. She said it saved her a lot of money and they didn't need it. I guess while the staff was setting up her private reception on the beach that drinks were available in a "small bar" they had set up, but it wasn't the full cocktail bar. I'm hoping this hasn't changed, because based on her review I think I am going to pass on the cocktail hour as well. Here is the link to her review if anyone wants to read it. She really gives a lot of insight into her wedding day. I am still going to have an hour break between my wedding and the dinner, but I think it will give guests time to run back to their room if they need to, or get some drinks while the wedding party finishes up on pictures. Lady_Di, When you went to visit did you sample the meals for the wedding? My WC sent me the meal choices and none of them sound all that appetizing in total, but I believe it is probably just a translation problem. What exactly is a Beef Tornado! Also, I had seen on other girls' posts that there was a surf and turf option. My menu only included shrimp, red snapper, and beef options. Anyone have any insight on this? Perhaps I need to request an upgraded menu or something? Thanks, Ashley

I see a lot of examples where people list the resort at the bottom, then playa del carmen, mexico. but with the resort name The Royal Playa del Carmen, how are you ladies listing it?
