  1. We added it to our homeowner's as a scheduled item-- so it's covered from loss, theft, damage. Also, if I lose my ring the insurance company will just cut me a check for the appraised amount not make me find a similar one. . . something to think about. (Mine is a custom design so wouldn't be able to find another like it). Good luck.
  2. FI went with me to the boutique to try it on. . . I guess we broke tradition.
  3. We are limited on the number of guests we could invite due to the reception space, so we only sent out Save the Dates to immediate family members and very close friends. I've been reading every Wedding book I could find and this was the advice given. We will be sending out the formal invitations at a later date for the rest of our extended family and other friends.

  9. Hi fellow St. Lucia brides! Hope everyone had a fabulous holiday. Opinion on time lines for sending out STDs and formal invites needed. My wedding is set for Nov. 27, 2010. Planning on sending out the STDs mid Jan, formal invites in June and requesting RSVPs by end of July. My mom and my sis want me to send out the invites in early May and my fiancee wants me to give guests a month a half to RSVP.. . . Any thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated! Monica
  10. Hey Kristen, I checked out your planning bio website and your wedding is going to be AMAZING! Good luck on all your planning!
  11. I'm so glad I've found others who also have P90X!! . . .I bought it last year and did it strong for 30 days, but lost my steam. After reading everyone's posts about it, it's got me re-motivated to get started again!! Superman-Banana!
  12. I am getting married next year Nov. 27, 2010 at the Ladera resort in St. Lucia. We chose the island due to the Pitons and the hotel being right in the middle of them. We wanted an destination wedding that was a bit unique-- so we decided having it on the wedding pavillion vs on the beach. We will be staying at Ladera for half of stay and Jade Mountain the other half. Friday night we are having a welcome dinner for all our guests at the Jalousie Plantation . . .has anyone ever stayed there? Then the ceremony will be at Ladera and the reception will be there afterwards. I'd love to hear about any excursions any St. Lucian brides have taken! Monica

    Hello All

I'm a newbie to this site and wanted to say hello to all. My name is Monica, and my wedding date is set for Nov. 27, 2010 on the island of St. Lucia at the Ladera resort. The ceremony will be held 1100 feet above sea level with a view of the Pitons and the Caribbean sea. I'm getting together my guest list as of right now. The hotel has already been booked and so has my photographer. We are bringing in our own photographer to take pictures. I am so glad I saw this forum and have joined! Monica Mai
