  1. I need advice. I am still being told that to extend our reception an hour - it is going to be $15 per person. Can anyone help me get around this? I am trying b/c I think it is crap Let me know what if anything you have done has helped- thanks
  2. I so rather prefer the white wooden chairs, too.. Can we choose between those OR the covered chairs?
  3. I would like to know this too as we are trying to use our free upgrades to get the Honeymoon Suite and am not sure if it is worth it... (bc we would still have to pay more)... thanks!
  4. What did you put in your OOT bags? Also- for those of you doing Sand Ceremony- what about transporting that?
  5. We are Oct 24, too!! We are getting married at Dreams Riviera Cancun!
  6. For things like the sand ceremony, welcome bag & welcome bag contents, and etc... are you guys packing and taking all of them or shipping them there? (what about the people that have already gotten married- what did you go) We just have about 50 people coming and that I like a whole extra suitcase?!?! thanks for your help
  7. I was wondering the same thing-- Boo- are you having your reception on the Pool Deck?

Whew, these posts tend to get longer all the time! Gotcha- but will the wait staff still be around to serve alcohol??

No- I am waiting on a response from Ana to see how much this will be. I want to have our reception from 6-10 (dinner from 6-7) But I want the DJ there the whole time b/c we want the GRAND ENTRANCE at 6- then dinner- then party starting at 7. I dont know how much more this will be. Anyone??
  10. We are getting married at 4ish.. and our reception was to start around 6. So- my question is for those of you who are having a 4 hour reception... you are saying that you will have dinner from 6-7... then DJ will play from 7-10. What will you do for music from 6-7? And what about your GRAND ENTRANCE?? Without a DJ then, who will announce you? Others have said... they will have the regular reception and then just music for the last hour-- does this mean no alcohol? I am just a little confused Thanks!!

Anyhow, she agreed to not tare down till 10, but 10 pm sharp she will. 10 pm is their quite hour anyway. Whew okie - night! So you are being charged $15 per guest? to have it until 10?
  12. 3 months tomorrow- and I am all of a sudden starting to freak out-- I feel like I have so many things to do!! Do you girls know if our reception HAS to be 3 hours? What if we want to add an hour? Anyone doing that? Anyone getting married in Oct- what time is your ceremony/reception? Thanks Robyn
  13. Hey- I know this was answered before but I cannot find it What size overlays do we need for the sweetheart table, regular tables and buffet tables? Thanks so much!!
  14. I am trying to plan excursion for both my wedding group and then me and my fiance during our honeymoon... any suggestions? Also- what about ideas for going out after the reception- ours will be over at 9pm. Thanks.

I had more vases for each table but the wind prevented any candles from being lit, so it was pointless to use the other vases. It provided the simple touch we wanted. My husband loves Family Guy so I made these table numbers and bought seashell photo holders from Kohls to hold them up. Luckily, they were able to survive the wind. Instead of chair sashes I made these decorations for the aisle chairs at the ceremony. They were perfect! It was the simple touch we wanted!!! I loved them!!! And here are our escort cards! Oh- I LOVE your ESCORT CARDS.. where did you get them? I want to do that...so cute!! Also where did you get the starfish that you used in place of the chair sashes.... great idea!!

The cocktail hour and reception were not as dark as they look in these photos. I think the professional photos will come out lighter. Shutterfly | View share great pics!! Did you order and bring your own overlays for the tables? Also for your chairs-did you bring ties for those? (do the use diff. chairs for the ceremony and the reception?) Thanks!!

We are both freaking out, I called him and he had indicated that this Saturday he has 3 and that this is typical. I just don’t know what to do, I thought I would splurge as hair is super important to me and now I am worried its going to be a rush job for multiple of what I would have paid else where. Yes- I have my dress- it just came in yesterday It is very informal and flowy... so I think it could go either way... I just feel like it is more BRIDE to have a veil.. I just cant decide... I don't know if it is just me or not... but I have never felt so indecisive in my life, as I have since I have started planning my wedding
  21. Are all you ladies having veils? This is something that I have gone back and forth with and I still can't make up my mind.. haha

I cant log onto his site, and I think I have the pictures on my comp. at home... but I am sure if you check out http://doremixx.com/ he has pictures of what cold fireworks look like, but think very large sparklers coming from the ground and about 4 - 5 feet high. You get two of them. Happy planning! When do you get the actual quote from him??
