 Hello Aeluzu:  This forum helped me so much, so I had to share to hopefully help out my fellow brides. :-) It was just perfect, I would not change one thing, that rain brought me a rainbow, so yay for that! The maracas were hand painted my a dear friend of mine, but here is where I ordered them, they were so cheap, I ordered the large ones from amols.com, in case the link does not work: http://www.amols.com/catalog/view?t=Fiesta%2C&ss=Maracas%2C&gclid=CPa8idzF8KACFQqF7Qod32cGGw  I did my own menus and programs, but I think that the resort will do menus for you, but I am not sure. Scrose: Â We did not want music, we just wanted to hear the sound of the waves hitting the shore, that was our music. :-) I am so glad you like the photos, we were just amazed by them. Glad I could help give you some ideas. Â I did not use the salon, one of my guest is an amazing hair and make-up artist, so she did it for me as a wedding gift. I have read that people have used the salon there and were very happy and if you have pictures of what you want then they should be able to copy it for you. Â Thank you, everything is coming together for the party here, doing some DIY things when I log off of here. I must say that it is nice to have a reception at home as well, I am glad that we are doing that. I will be wearing my dress again, for our party, I am having it cut off above the knee so now it will be a cocktail dress, then after the party I will dye it a dark charcoal so I can keep using it later on. Thank you everyone for your very kind comments. I must say that I did get a little wet with the rain, so as I waited, I knew it would pass, its Mexico, it will rain a bit and then it is gone. I am a huge believer in "everything happens for a reason", so it did not stress me out. When the rain stopped and I started to walk to the beach, there was the rainbow, then the next thing I saw was my Michael waiting for me, the tears just started right then. Hey Scrose: Â Sorry I am just getting back with you, it has been a bit crazy here for us. We are having our local reception here for all those that could not make it to Mexico next Saturday, so I am running around getting everything in order, I could really use a wedding coordinator like Yamina right now. :-) Â As far as the Villa next to EPM, our photographer, Vincent, had made arrangements to go over there, he just took us over right after the ceremony. From the ceremony on, I had no concept of time, sorry, but it did take a while, it was sooooo worth it! We did a cocktail hour for everyone, so they were fine eating some snacks and drinking while they waited for us. No one cared at all. Hello Fellow Brides! Â I just have to share the amazing experience that my husband and I had with Vincent from Del Sol Photography. One word, "incredible"! From the moment he walked in the room, I know that I had made the best choice for our wedding. He was just so kind, positive and full of life, I felt like I had know him for years and we just met. My guests adored him. My husband felt so comfortable with him and he does NOT like to have his picture taken. It is such a special day and I felt that Vincent really cared about our wedding and getting amazing shots for us to keep forever. I can not wait to see all the images he took, I know they are going to be breathtaking. He showed me a few while he was shooting, just beautiful! Â I must also say how incredible the studio manager, Melissa is, so wonderful. She worked out a package and timeline that fit our buget and I really feel it was so worth the money. Hello all my fellow EPM Brides! Â We just got back from our wedding-moon at EPM, it was just amazing! Yamina is so great, she had every email that I had sent her and she got every detail that I had wanted, just perfect. She is so sweet, so anyone that has any doubts, just know that you are in the best hands there. It rained right as my guest sat down for the ceremony at 5:00, but I would not change it for the world, the air cooled and we had the most incredible rainbow, it made me cry as I walked down the sand to my future husband. Vincent from Del Sol Photography was just wonderful, I can not wait to see the images from him. He even made my sweet husband comfortable in front of the camera, he HATES having his picture taken. After the ceremony we went to the Villa next to the resort (this is one of the homes of the owner of the Excellence Resorts), you must get shots there with your hubby, it is just lovely. Hello Lisa: You will LOVE EPM!!!! The service is amazing, very romantic. We were there in August of '09, that is were we got engaged, so I was able to check out everything in case we came back to get married there. We will be married there on 9.3.10, it was so great, we just had to get married there. Yamina is the Wedding Coordinator and she is amazing, I can not wait to meet her in person. I have emailed her so many times during the planning and she normally emails me back that evening, if not, the next day. I have never had an issue and I have been in contact with her since Nov '09. So do not worry, she has made the planning so easy. I have most of the things you were asking about, so I will email them to your email above. I requested the X Lounge, that is where we went after my fiance proposed to me on the beach, so I thought it would be nice after the ceremony. :-) The Revive Bar, if I am remembering correctly, is just across from the X Lounge, a bit closer to the pool area, that would be very nice. Hello Scrose: We got engaged on the beach last August at EPM and now we are going back to get married there on 9.3.10. You will love it! We are only having 15 guests as well so we are doing our ceremony at 5:00 on the beach, then cocktail hour at the X-Lounge (it is right on the beach near the ceremony, very nice for your guest while you take pictures), we are doing a private reception at Agave. There is a disco and they do have live shows, we thought that we could just head over to disco after dinner. One tip for you, buildings #7 & #8 face the theater and the shows go until 10:30 or 11:00, it is really loud and if you are in your room wanting to be romantic. Hello. We are doing the same thing, no BM/GM, just the 2 of us with maybe 10 people. We are going to have a cocktail hour while we are doing after wedding pics on the beach our guests can enjoy themselves while we are off taking our pics. We are going to do a private dinner after the cocktail hour, they, Excellence Playa Mujeres, close 2 of their restaurants every night, so we will have our dinner in a closed one so it is private. Since it is an all-inclusive, it will on be an additional $14.00 per person for each event, so we thought that would be nice for everyone and not cost us too much either. :-) After the dinner, we are just going to play it by ear. Hello. We stayed at Secrets Maroma Beach when it opened, the beach is perfect there, but the service was horrible and I can not imagine trying to plan a wedding with the staff there. Excellence Playa Mujeres was wonderful! The beach was not perfect, lots of sea grass, but it did not both us and they clean it up every morning. The service is amazing, we just loved it, not one complaint. We got engaged on the beach there and now we are going to get married on the beach there on 9.3.10. :-) Let me know if you have questions about either resort, I know it is hard to make a major choice like this without having all the information. Hello Caroline: My fiance and I have been to Mexico 7 times now. We have stayed at El Dorado Royale 3 times, that was our favorite until we went to EPM this past year. We did get engaged at EPM this past August, which makes it more special to us. We did go back and fourth between EDR and EPM, but EPM is just a bit better for us, we really love it. We are getting married on 9.3.10, it was just the place for us. Hope this helps you. Please ask me any questions about other resorts in the area if you like.
