It might be cheaper than the silver or gold menus or even the $20 option if you have more than 25 people. I can send you the e-mail that Tiara sent me but basically all it said was the rental was US $1000.00 + 26% for gratuity = total of US $1260.00 it also accomodates up to 245 people. I have yet to discuss menu options and cocktail hour (during our photos) But I am pretty certain that this is the option that I am going with as well.

Amygirl1169 & Kittengirl thanks for passing on those gems of information! I will cover the West-end and let you know if I am successful!! I'm so excited to start with sample and see if it turns out as good as I'm imagining in my head!!
  8. Awesome Jennifer!!! Soooo are you going to keep us hanging in the balance or are you going to show us a sample?
  9. For the sake of calming your own nerves...ask, and ask with just a tad of urgency in your voice! I'm sure that if they're not already planning it, your questioning will give them a much needed push in getting started!
  10. Dolphinluk - thanks so much for this! They look to be VERY professional and the trip descriptions are quite nice. I will try and contact them and see what happens. Thanks again!
  11. I have never even heard of these particular names of dresses so now you've peeked my interest as well!! But I agree, I would like to see it on a more realistic bride!!
  12. Welcome to the forum! I love that you chose Bali as your spot. What prompted you to go with that decision?
  13. Wow! Now that's gorgeous! You're already well on your way but I'm sure there is still tonnes of information here that you will still find to be quite helpful. Congratulations!

    Im a newbie!

Yea! Congrats and happy planning! Don't worry, this site will certainly help you to narrow down your choices...and in record time!
  15. Congratulations and welcome to BDW. I'm sure you'll find lots of information that will be very helpful to you.
  16. Welcome, welcome and congratulations! Enjoy the planning process and happy researching!
  17. LOL- thanks! I know that there aren't too many DLR brides out there but I figured you never know who has information about what! So we may get lucky and have someone point us in the right direction or speak about some personal experiences with excursions in La Romana!
  18. I think that BDW qualifies as a good addiction!! I love this site, and I'm usually on it pretty late into the wee hours of the morning because that's the time that I seem to find to do things just for me!
  19. I knew you ladies would provide some direction!! This is a great start and thanks for introducing me to the idea of 'feather/flower fascinators' - I was not familiar with the lingo at all! Anyway, I plan to do a combo...the feather/flower with a cage veil. I decided that I didn't want the traditional veil (or at least that's my current stance!! --we'll see what really happens!) Thanks again ladies & good luck to you all!

If someone has a specific response that says, "no music at the SSG deck" please post so that I can address this w/ Tiara asap. Thanks!! Wow!! Now that's an interesting perdicament! You're only doing a partial area but if she's spoken to Carlos already it would appear to me that music & dancing is a non-issue?! But I agree we NEED clarification!

We could keep the chairs there from the ceremony maybe. Hi ladies: Absolutely! I will ask Tiara about dancing at the SSG and if renting the entire restaurant or just part of it affects your ability to to have music and dancing on the deck. I will also ask about the Ipod hook up and dance floor - but be careful, the dancefloor leaves much to be desired! (When I attended my friend's wedding at Dreams Palm Beach in Sept/09 - their dancefloor was sooo tiny I don't think it held more than 12 people comfortably! I will be taking my camera and measuring tape so hopefully I'll be able to get exact dimensions!
  22. LOL! Welcome to the club! You are in the right place, you'll find all the help you need here!
