  1. I am potentially interested. When were you thinking of scheduling it? Still March 15/16? How many girls? Where: Ny/NJ?

  4. Some more info: For attaching the handles: The metal pieces are just those metal thingies you used as a kid where you stick them through a couple pieces of paper and pull apart the two legs underneath - paper fasteners (you probably used them when you did a book report as a kid) . You can get them in the drug store or food store for about $0.50. I didn't use a hole punch, I just pushed them throught the handles first, then through the box. For the passport covers on vistaprint: The passport covers on vistaprint took a bit of time. My fiance found a picture on google images of the front and back of a passport, as well as an inside page (we used for the inside covers). I can email them to you if you want. For the inside covers, I uploaded a picture of us and used that along with inserting text for the writing. The only difficult part was writing it all side ways on the inside covers and aligning everything.
  5. I can also confirm that there is no charge (outside of the day pass) as per my WC. They recently changed their policy.
  6. Hi Ladies! My date is June 6, 2010...I am getting married on the beach with my cocktail reception in the garden gazebo and my dinner in one of the restaurants. I ould love to hear from some of you past brides.. Thanks!
  7. Ok, Sorry for the delay, ladies..Here are some answers to your questions... I ended up making 50 invitations. They were not expensive to make, but they were expensive to send ~$77. Absolutely NO problems at all with the post office or delivery even with the handles. In fact, every invitation arrived in perfect condition! I got the tiny starfish (and also sanddollars) for the bottles on ebay. Invitation Pricing Bottles/Sand/Shells/Boxes"$82.29"Sand Blast Entertainment RSVP Paper "$10.00" Raffia-blue/taupe "$7.50" tags/paper/labels "$47.56"http://www.kraftoutlet.com/ postage (MIB) "$77.70" postage (RSVP) "$12.60" eBay (Starfish) "$5.00" Stamp (Michaels) "$5.00" Vistaprint (Passport Covers) "$51.25" Total"$298.90 I can't believe someone is charging almost $1500 for doing these! I need to change my line of work! Let me know if I can help in any way! It was a lot of work, but a super fun project for me and my fiance - we have some wonderful memories from doing this together!
  8. We had such an amazing response to our invitations that we decided to share our Invitation Making Adventure! So after the excitement of the proposal, we decided what better way to marry your dream love, then to have a dream wedding. We both thought it would be truly special to be married on the beach in paradise. The next step was to find the perfect invitation, and our research brought us to our “message in a bottle†. Though you can order pre-made message in a bottle invitations, we decided to make them ourselves! (Supplies from SandArtSupplies.com) First we started by filling the bottles with sand and shells: After an AMAZING Bride (THANK YOU SO MUCH) on this Forum shared her invitation template with us, we customized it and printed our invitations. We cut each one to the appropriate size and then burned the edges to give them an aged appearance… …and this is how it turned out: Next we rolled each invitation with blue Raffia and attached tags to pull the invitations from the bottles (check out the real starfish attached to each one) Now, there still was a great deal of information we needed to tell people about the logistics of the wedding, so we decided to create mini-passports that would contain all the exciting details of our special day. (These were made with postcards from Vistaprint, and the inside hads all the info on the resort printed on our home computer) How better to have our guests RSVP then to rip of a portion of a faux boarding pass and send it in as their response? And, hence, our boarding pass RSVPs were born (These I ordered for EllasPaper on Etsy- I highly recommend them!!!)… Finally, we needed a wonderful way to safely send all of these great pieces to our guest. So, what better way to send them out, than in little suitcases…handmade, of course. (This was a lot of work, but easy - ribbon, metal fasteners and craft foam sheets from Michaels - oh and we folded the boxes inside out so they were brown instead of white) We hope you enjoyed our Invitations!
  9. I am getting married there on June 6, 2010!! I am having a beach wedding and cocktail hour in the garden gazebo - then to one of the restaurants for dinner (only 25 in my group). I know several people who have been there before and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the resort and the weddings!
  10. I am getting married there on June 6, 2010. My parents have vacationed there for several years, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about the resort. The resort grounds are gorgeous! My interactions with them have been fine so far regarding the wedding.
  11. Has anyone done flipflops as favors? I was thinking of asking for shoes sizes on the RSVPs ...thinking it may be useful and not a waste. You can get them at old navy for $2.50...thoughts?
