thanks for all the welcomes. I wanted to read all of the posts first so I wasn't asking repeat questions, but it has taken quite a few days to get through all 346 pages! I switched my resort from Occidental Grand Xcaret...we were trying to keep it affordable for our guests, but it seemed no matter how low we could get prices, people kept complaining. So we decided the people who we care about the most said they will be there no matter what, so we decided to upgrade! kittenheart--love your costume idea! my fiance and I are going to a True Blood Halloween party this weekend, so we are both going as vampires.

hello to another DFW bride! I bought my dress at David's Bridal--they had some gorgeous chiffon dresses, which is what I was looking for! Also, check out Bridal Co (north of Denton). They usually run specials, so dresses are reasonably priced. You can check out their website online first to see if you like any of the dresses before making the drive up there. I booked my wedding there for May 28, 2010. I am so excited! Still waiting to hear back from our TA about package prices, but I am looking at Expedia for an idea of costs, and it seems that it's going to be affordable for our guests.

May 28th at the Occidental Grand Xcaret! I'm ordering my dress this weekend, and am sending out the STD's tonight. Even though I originally wanted my STD's to be sent out earlier, everyone who is invited has been told word-of-mouth (we're having a very small wedding). I'm having so much fun with all of the planning!
