I had a nightmare last night I couldnt' go to my own wedding as I didn't have a dress and I hadn't written my vows or speeches! I literally woke up in a cold sweat. Hey Linzappa This thread is full of girls who were married at azul sensatori and azul beach and you will find small reviews here on this thread and under planning threads/reviews Oh no, not nightmares already, I had them the week of my wedding... I was a hot mess!

Unfortunately, it rained and rained and rained our first 3 days there. Not just sprinkles or mist but full on side-blowing rain. We had to cancel the sailing trip (no worries for all you gals that have booked with Paradise Catamarans...full refund with no problems) and ended up renting vans to take our guests into town for dinner instead. They were getting a bit stir-crazy with the rain. BUT, somebody was looking out for us because we went to bed the night before the wedding to pouring rain and woke up to blue skies on wedding day!!!!!! The clouds rolled in around ceremony time but the first drop didn't fall until the final blessing. Perfect timing if you're going to have rain on your wedding day! I'll write a full review later with all the details but I just wanted to pop in and say that the whole experience at AB could not have been any better. Superb everything: food, staff, beaches, onsite team. Absolutely perfect! Now I've got a lot of catching up to do!!! WELCOME BACK MRS!!!!!! So happy to see things went awesome, cant wait to hear all about it! Congrats!

Meghan, I played the over the rainbow song,I downloaded the longest version of the song and artist I wanted. Then when we got to mexico, we timed it out for how many ppl we had and when we started the music. So basically we had everyone line up on the top of the stairs( you have to take stairs down to beach) then had the music begin when Kenny walked his mom down and then everyone else (in the wedding party) followed. I believe with our ppl and myself took a total of almost 4mins or a little over. We stoppped the song after my father gave me away. Then we played a song while we did the sand ceremony also. It was so beautiful, and we didn't even think of all that until the onsite suggested that along with a song for when all 4 witness sign all the paper work. I think they signed 4 pages each and the photographer took pics during this as well... It takes a few minutes.

Things were always complete for us, but NOW I feel awesome. Hard to describe. Long story short, I didn't have a story book life. My mom has not really ever been there for me my whole life, And when i met Kenny, he took on many roles for me, but overall, he is my prince, and I feel he rescued me... I took pics of my house wedding week, it consisted of piles everywhere! I wish I would have been more organized, then I wouldn't have forgot my garter or my daughters wedding shoes LOL..

The honeymoon suite ROCKS, but it is verrry pricey in my opinion. I only got upgraded because there was a room mix up and i was a unhappy girl. But Im sure the rooms would work just fine? I was in both standard and premium, I did not notice a big difference in size at ALL. Hope this helps!

He'll be the odd man out if he wears it. And now I just checked the weather for next week and it's rain every day! with 60% chance on our wedding day. GRRRRRRRRR!!!! One reason we picked April was because it's one of the months with the lowest rainfall. I know I shouldn't worry about weather a week away since it's always changing but still GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I am just generally pissed off today! Just thought I'd shed some light on your wedding plans, Up until day of our wedding, weather was calling for RAIN, i was soo upset. For me, I kept saying, Im not coming all the way to Mexico to be married indoors in a room with no windows lol. So I was horrified when I kept seeing rain.... In fact, it ruined the whole week of my wedding because I was so pissed about it everyday! AND guess what... wedding day, NO RAIN!!! Absolutely perfect weather! So, my positive thoughts are being sent your way and jus sayn this, If it does rain.... make the best of it girl, life is not about finding the shelter in the storm, its about learning to dance in the rain ... sending you bug hugggs!

I was not a happy girl. But it ended up being ok since my dress was made of taffida.

I didn't go all out for anything in mexico because I had a AHR, so these worked perfect for me! My WC in mexico hooked up a lot with extras, they made it look so nice. Hope this helps

So how did you arrange the signature cocktail? Did you give instructions for how to make it and they ask for it at the bar or pre-arrange for some to be made? I am so early in this process...hopefully I'm not getting to far ahead of myself:) I did not have any centerpieces either, we only had 4 tables as well. THey actually put candles on all the tables for us and it looked great!!!

I am still not sold on my first dance song. Maybe I'll make FI be in charge of that. I just can't find one that I love and fits the mood in mexico. You are correct Amy, we used one of their dj's, because I was told I didn't have any other choice. . I had a great expirence. And yes, When I got to mexico they had a whole lists of music tiffany doesn't even know about called top 40 LOL. And Im not sure how it normally works, but we had requested two songs they didn't have, and the dj and wc just downloaded it from itunes right then and there and "they" paid for it<---- yes you read that right. haha (WOW)

  21. Andrea, and girls... Did you or do you plan to send anything special for the guest who attended your wedding after you get back? Im sending out my THANK YOUs to guest for my AHR now and I still haven't sent my official thank you for my guest in Mexico. I went and bought a bunch of Thank you cards( not the bulk kind, big thank you cards) and Kenny, my husband had made a video compiled of all our pics of the wedding with music in the background. So were making copies of the video and sending it all who attended the wedding. Im just wondering if anyone else had any unique ideas on how to thank everyone who comes to mexico?

Please let me know: 1. how many people travelled with you 2. how were the rooms (your's & your guests) 3. how was the wedding venue 4. how was the check in process? did you get the room you expected 5. how was the reception? was it private 6. how was the beach 7. if you had it to do over again...... Or just post some info on the experience. I just want to know if I should stay on course or pick another location. Hi there, and congrats on finding real brides and real Love stories! First off, I wanted to say I just got married about a month ago at azul sensatori and as you read through allll these threads, you will see that there are alot of emotions that you go thru when planning a wedding, especially when its going to be in mexico, However you will read all of our success stories and feel much better about your upcoming wedding at AS i promise:) I can't explain why there are bad reviews, I had some guest complaining too, one guest complained about the food at one of the resturants, my husband and I completely disagreed. COMPLETELY. So, i guess when reading bad reviews, remember that everyones different and we all have different expectations. Just read with an open mind. We had approx 25 guest. Check in was soo cool. Greeted with a smile and a cocktail... awesome!!! My travel agent confused our rooms up a bit, but I got upgraded for free to the honeymoon suit for a week... awesome Worked out great for us. Premium section is where the hook up is. worth the little extra trust me! I had a private reception, everything went perfect. Im not kidding, I had nothing at all go wrong and had nothing but compliments about our whole wedding day! The workers there are so amazing, They truly made my day. It was almost embarrasing how on point they are. Treated us like we were royality the entire time. Beach, uhhh... well it was a beach, it was not the greatest but it wasn't horrible either imo. It can get weedy at times, but they rake quit often. And they clean up where your wedding is at before its time too. It's absolutly beautiful back drop for a wedding. If I could do it over again, The ONLY thing I would change was my OFFSITE wedding coordinator. I wanna go back so bad! The resort is so cool. Prob go back for an anniversary im sure!!! Happy Planning, I hope this helps
  23. Katieeeee, awesome pics! Your man is gonna love them girl! xoxoxo, I have alot of favorites, but im pretttttty sure your man is gonna love them booty shots!!! you go girl!!! Us woman go through alot to try and look our best and it takes alot of nerve to get in front of a camera for these kind of shots, some of us its natural, some of us need encouragement, but at the end of the day, be proud and love your body, we are our own worst critics sometimes. Katie, You looked amazing in your pics and your so so beautiful*** your happiness shows in your pics, and it looks great on you!
  24. hey Ladies I just wanted to give the girls who are choosing to do a legal ceremony in Mexico a heads up.... I got married feb 13th and I ( AND ANDREA) didn't know until we got to mexico that there is no english wedding license. Which means we had to pay $150 for a wedding license that the states would accept. It has to be "professionally" translated and meet your sec of state requirements and guidelines . AND it takes approx 4-6weeks after the wedding. I just got mine last week. THEN, i took it to sec of state to change my name and they told me my translation was not acceptable. SO my reccomendation to you girls is to NOT get or pay for the translation there but to bring it home and it's only approx $50 here and takes 2-3days and you can tell them what requirments it needs to meet.
