God knows how that will go as I have not been given any reference codes etc... will call in my lunch break me thinks. Anyone have any ideas on evening receptions? I have heard you can book a a'la carte or on the terrace for an extra fee. I am leaning towards having the steak grill. x Hmmm I'm not really sure tbh. Virgin will get back to you, it will take them a couple of days though. I don't know what we are doing for our reception yet. The ceremony is at 1pm, that should only take 20 minutes. Then it's photo time. And then I would think at 2.30pm we will go for our meal at one of the restaurants. After that I have no idea what we are going to do so if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. We are not going to have any kind of function outside as it will be far too hot and I know others have struggled with this, so it's air con all the way for us!

In the end we had to go with virgin as we wanted to fly onto Orlando for our honeymoon and 99% of the other companies didnt offer twin centres. The lady phoned up the virgin holiday line and booked us that way. I didnt pay anything as we ok-ed the free package to start with ( i know virgin offer their own upgrade but didnt want to take it straight away as i wanted to check what the hotel offered before we signed up to anything - might get a better deal booking direct with the hotel) I just realised that if we are having the catholic chapel I prob wont be able to have the decorations from the sapphire/diamond collection!!!! bummer! Oh I see. So why won't you be able to have the decor you want if you get married in the catholic chapel?

  4. Also, I can't download attachments yet and my WC at the MP hasn't bothered to get back to me either

My FI likes the amber but I think that I am going to pull a bridezilla and overrule him b/c my bridesmaid dresses are going to be a similar shade of blue. The amber is nice but the shells are making me lean towards the sapphire. I have attached the file with the pictures of each collection, compliments of Rachel :-) does anyone have pictures of the bouquets for each collection? They just remind me of Shell World in Kissimmee. I remember going in there once and seeing everything made out of shells. Put me off shells for life, it was awful!

Think we are going for the Immaculate conception ( H2B is catholic) but no ideas evening events as yet. Thanks for your help So you didn't book the wedding through Virgin? Do you mind me asking what you paid for your wedding package? We are getting married in the Nizuc gazebo, H2B is reliogious but understands how I feel so we are going down the civil ceremony route

I dont remember seeing anything about seashells but from other posts on here they dont seen to be going down too well!! thanks for your help Hi! I am getting married on May 17th 2010. VH sent me my package a couple of weeks after I booked mine. You should have received something by now so I would give them a call and chase it up. So what have people said about the seashells? I haven't heard anything, just not for me
  10. I have had a look through but because there are so many posts it's really hard to find something even using the search function.
  11. Hi, Could someone please post a picture of the basic wedding cake that the MP provide. Also, I am not sure whether to bring a picture and ask them to recreate it as I am not sure how good they are at making the cakes. Any feedback would be very much appreciated. Thanks!
  12. Oh, and I will start uploading files and things when I gain enough points to do so

My WC was never good about replying to email but she would call me occasionally the last month and all was taken care of with the phone calls. Thanks for the reply. I don't feel so bad now. Only problem is that I do need to let my travel agent know certain information so they do need to reply to me soon.

I am especially anxious about the flowers, how it says you have to pick from the "sapphire collection" for the bouquet. I am leaning towards sapphire but when I saw pics of those flowers I was disappointed. Do you think they would let us choose another bouquet? I am thinking of going with silk flowers anyway but it would be nice to know. Hi, I think they let you do what you want as long as you pay for it. I get the sapphire collection as standard but I am going to change it as it won't go with my colours and I don't really like shells. :-)

Although we ok-ed the free wedding package I want to upgrade as I have really fallen for the diamond collection! cant wait to see some pictures of the flowers/cakes etc. Hi, I also booked with VH. I haven't heard much from them apart from receiving a pack with forms that I need to fill in asking what colours we would like etc... We went for the deluxe wedding package, we get the sapphire collection but VH said that all we need to do is request a different collection and that shouldn't be a problem. I didn't like the sea shells that they include in that package. I always think they look a little tacky :~
  16. Hi, My wedding coordinator is Cristina Doblado. Is she anyone else's WC? I sent her an email 3 weeks ago and I have heard nothing back. I did send another email a week ago to make sure she got my first email but I still got no response. I am a little concerned at how competant she is going to be if she can't even reply to my questions on email. Has she taken ages to reply to anyone elses emails? Thanks
  17. Hi, My wedding coordinator is Cristina Doblado. Has anyone used her? I would like to hear of the experiences people have had. It's just that I sent her an email 3 weeks ago and I have heard nothing back. I did send another email a week ago to make sure she got my first email but I still got no response. I am a little concerned at how competant she is going to be if she can't even reply to my questions on email. Thanks for the feedback

  19. Hi all, Thought I would start a new thread for 2010 as I know the packages etc have changed so I am not sure how relevant the information will be on the other thread. I am getting married at the Moon Palace, Cancun next May. I am still doing a lot of research and need to gather a lot more information. I would be grateful if people could post as much information as possible. I will do the same aswell!! Good luck with your planning everyone!! Many thanks, Angela
  20. Hi, I am getting married at the Moon Palace next year. We are so unsure what to do with regards to the photographer. We don't know whether to use the hotel one or book one outside of the hotel. I would be so grateful if you could post who you used, how much they cost (including how many hours were included in that price) and what you thought of their work. This would help me out immensely. Thanks so much
  21. Hi, Does anyone know how much it costs to upgrade to a 2 tier cake in the Moon Palace? I have no clue what their standard cake looks like, I would be grateful if someone could post a pic of it. Many thanks!
