  1. Hi, Could someone please tell me why I am still not able to view attachments? It's really annoying as I need to be able to view them to help with my planning. Many thanks

Something will have to work! Oh ok, thank you!
  3. Is this normal? I was assigned a wedding coordinater initially, then I was passed on to someone else and now yet again I am dealing with another lady!! Thats 3 women in total. feel like I am just being passed around to different people and I would like to only have to be dealing with one person. Has this happened to anyone else? Thanks, Angela.
  4. Hi girls! Ok so the MP got back to me. she said it was because the flowers were not local to Mexico. This is my reply. Hi, I still cannot understand why the flowers are so expensive. I have looked at the list of bouquets Maribel sent me. A full peony bouquet is only $180. Cymbidium orchid bouquet is $150 and Cala lillies are only $110. Now if you are only needing a couple of each of those flowers I cannot see how you came up with that price. Does that mean it's the fushia lillies that are the reason for the ridiculous price? Regards, Angela.
  5. Hi everyone, I also posted this in the main forum but thought I would post it here too. I have gone for the complimentary package and recently emailed my WC to get a quote for my bouquet. I wanted cymbidium orchids, peonies, fushia lillies and calla lillies. The quote I was given was $650!!!!! I can't believe it!!! :0 Does anyone else think that is way over priced? I have had quotes for a full bouquet of peonies and it was only $180. I am very confused! Anyway, just thought I would add this just in case it's helpful to someone Angela

I would that quote is for all bouquets but I did ask her to quote me for just mine so I think I need to double check with her. I have asked why the price is so high and I am just waiting for her to get back to me now. I just don't see how that price can be right though. That's 3 times what I had estimated!!

Peonies are expensive in Cabo because they (like most flowers in Cabo) have to be imported, but since you are getting married in May, peonies are in season and there is not reason you can't have them. I would start shopping around. Hi, Yes you are right, the flowers I would like are available so they should be that expensive. My WC sent me a price for just a bouquet of peonies and it was only $180!!!! I don't know how she came up with that price!! I think I need to speak with another member of staff as I am not allowed to use an outside vendor.
  8. Hi everyone, I recently emailed my WC at the moon palace to get a quote for my bouquet. I wanted cymbidium orchids, peonies, fushia lillies and calla lillies. The quote I was given was $650!!!!! I can't believe it!!! :0 Does anyone else think that is way over priced? Has anyone else had a similar bouquet to the one I would like? How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking. I am still in shock!! Many thanks, Angela
  9. Hi everyone! I just wondered if anymore of you had hired Ivan for your big day? I would love to see more pictures! Thanks!

  11. Hi everyone!! I originally booked the Sapphire collection with Virgin Holidays. It cost me £1169 and I decided to change it to the free package due to the fact I would have to pay again for things I wanted to change. Anyway, this supposed 'free' package is no longer free anymore! They are charging me £289 for legalities?? Just wondered if I booked directly through the Moon Palace would I get the wedding for free or would they add on the same costs for the legalities? Many thanks!

Look at the bouquets and tell me what you think. I either want the sapphire or amber package (FI wants amber I want sapphire). FI also wants on the beach and I want the gazebo, just because it is going to be so hot next August! lol we will have to negotiate... he keeps swearing he doesn't care about anything then gets upset if I don't include him! Are your FI's like that? Hi, Could you please email these to me as the site won't let me view them. Thanks

I am planning to have ceiling drapery too. I am going for a more elegant look for the reception. I am anticipating 50-70 people so I figure it would be cheaper to have everything that I dreamed of in Cancun than having a reception at home catering to triple that number. I am planning to have real flowers but I have sent pictures of exactly what I want instead of the packages. I heard so many comments on this forum that stated that their flowers were not fresh or it was not want they picture. I also read somewhere that the colors were not right. But the common thread was showing them exactly what you want. I think that I will have silk corsages and boutineers. But the bridesmaids and my flowers will be real. I want roses/lillies/carnations. I am planning to have the flowers balls at the ceremony that will be placed near the chairs down the aisles. I also was told by the WP what the size of the red carpet was so that I can buy a monogramed runner to cover it. My colors are different shades of pink/ivory/platinum. My ceremony will be at Tuscan Gazebo and the cocktail hour will be at Tuscan Terrace. But the reception will be at sunrise. I have 1/2 my guest staying at sunrise and the other half at Nuzic. Happy Planning.... The time is running down. Are you going with the complimentary package?

We chose the cake from their package because we didn't care enough to pay extra. I wanted something very simple and wasn't going to pay for simple. I planned on putting my own flowers on top, but they had frosting flowers and it was too difficult to do so (especially with everyone watching at the reception-ha!) so we just left it alone. It wasn't what I wanted, but I wasn't that concerned with the cake in the grand scheme of things. Here is a picture of our cake... and one of us cutting into it... you can see how surprised we were that the frosting was literally stretching off! Thanks!!
  16. Well, so far 16 people have said yes and 3 have said no. I wonder what the reasons for 'No' are?
  17. Thanks for your replies I just didn't want people to think I was a show off it I wore it again

Maybe just plan to have a reception dress thats a little airier so that you wont roast the whole day. Its a beautiful dress and Im sure you'll look wonderful in it. Enjoy bc the day goes by soooo fast - in a blink of an eye! Hi, thanks for your reply My dess is made out of taffeta and organza, i am hoping that will be cooler than satin at least. I have also brought an underskirt hoop which brings the dress away from me quite a lot more. I figured this would keep me cooler as it should let some air in. Is this not the case? Thanks
  19. Just a quick question.. We are going to have a party when we return for the guests that couldn't make the wedding. We are in the UK and our wedding is in Cancun! My question is, should I wear my wedding dress at the party so my guests can see me in it? What would you do? Thanks!
  20. Hi girls, Thanks for all your replies We will be outside for 1 hour and a half max including photos. Then off to an air conditioned restaurant I am just praying there will be a breeze!! I wish the temperature would drop a bit more later in the day but it really doesn't make much difference
  21. Hi girls! I am getting married at 1pm in May. I was considering getting married later in the day in the hope it would be cooler but I have looked at weather underground and the temperature only drop's 1 or 2 degrees so it's not going to make much difference. I have got my dress and had got an underskirt to go with it so hopefully it will let in a little air. Does anyone know how bad it will be in May? Is there any breeze in the gazebos or on the beach for the photos? Do you think I am crazy for wanting to wear this dress? It is my dream dress!!! http://i162.photobucket.com/albums/t...resspc7958.jpg

If the resort is saying you are fine as long as they stay the night then I personally wouldn't worry about it - just make sure the resort is aware of their reservation. If you are really concerned about it then I would just ask your WC to do up a contract stating that they are allowed onsite just to put your mind at ease. Do you have a travel agent you are working with? If this is causing you major frustration this might be something they are better able to assist you with. Thanks for the tip, that's a really good idea
