one more question - do you have to do Wedo if you are having the legal ceremony (i'm having a catholic one, which is therefore legal in DR). Can someone send me the requirements for legal marriages but for the US?

The same thing happened to me. I wanted to do table #s, and wanted to ask how many to a table. I'm not going to have them made if I don't know how many to make! I'll let you know if I get any kind of response, but the emails just keep bouncing back. The last time it happened she replied that she didn't know why something was wrong with her email because in the body of the email I mentioned how they kept bouncing back to me.

Sungoddess - I booked arnaud, but i agree that you have some time, and dont' get pushed into something just because. I found out a few weeks later my sister's friend is a photog, and we could have had him shoot the whole thing, for about the same price, and probably more options. The good thing is I've read lots of good reviews about HDC in general.

We're doing our wedding in a gazebo. Dina, you hit the nail on the head! Our parish is in NJ at my parents' church, and it will be very close to the deadline of two months before that we'll have our paperwork in.

This may be a dumb question, but I'll ask it anyway - if we're having a catholic ceremony, is there anything else we need to follow other than those requirements? (i.e. i haven't had our birth certificates translated yet). So far i'm following the same document that was attached to this thread.

I didn't do it either, I didn't even think to ask for it. My only regret (and it's really minor), was that the single people we invited, we had the envelopes addressed to Mr. Jim Smith and Guest, and apparently that's not proper etiquette for the outer envelopes. Oh well, they're already sent out!

I have 34 total. The reason I'm asking is I'm trying to figure out how many tables I'm buying centerpieces for, since I don't want the long table. I wanted to confirm that it's 8 to a table and the tables are long, not round. How are the buffet restaurants set up? ours will be held at El Bohio.

Nonnie, thanks for the great review!!! Congrats! do you know if you have a large group, how many people they seat to a table? i am trying to avoid the one large table because i think we;ll have too many guests...I;m trying to encourage the "mingling" within our group.

I got my dress at BBR - I didn't think I would end up there, but it was one of the first places I went to, and they threw in alterations, the bustle, etc. I had a really nice saleswoman, but truthfully, I didn't do a whole ton of searching either. cherrybomb, what kind of deal did you get? I got pics, video, and ttd, but i'm not sure we are getting a discount, so far i've only paid the deposit, which for me was $400 USD.

I found these in the stores today and also am really happy. I used a 20% coupon for each set, so they ended up being $16.

Has anyone had issues with their priest/ parish at home giving them trouble? I don't know if it's just our church, but they gave my FI and I the 3rd degree this weekend and right now I don't know if we will be granted the dispensation. Any thoughts on this?
