i agree the convertible dress looks really cute, i did consider. and it would be very easy for each girl to order, and affordable too! i ended up changing my color scheme and ordered the ruffled halter dress in bali from Express. it was a great price and easy for all my girls to go in, try on and get. also i thought the ruffles were cute and beachy, wihout looking to casual or stuffy. thanks everyone!!!

chelymo, thank you! wow i can't believe they charge you $390 to use the arch. that seems insane! I had no idea about that, thank you for telling me, i would have been upset if i found out when I got there. are there any other hidden costs that you have discovered? What are you doing as wedding favors? Thats another thing i am having a hard time with since it seems so hard to lug things down there. any other tips? thanks so much for all your help!!!

We're doing a beach ceremony at 2:30 and then a private cocktail hour and dinner at the world cafe since were expecting approx the same amount of guests. Where did you get your bridesmaids dresses? You pay extra for the arch? What about a runner? I know you said your bringing your own bouquet, but are you getting any flowers down there as well? For decoration or bridesmaids bouquets? Hi everyone! So I'm going crazy trying to find dresses for my girls! Thinking hot pink or coral something like that. Getting married onthe beach in DR, so I wanted something short and flowy yet still cute. Maybe a halter tight on top and light flowy material on bottom? However since the girls are all paying to fly to the DR I wanted to find a really cheap dress, I hate having them spend a lot of money. Maybe off the rack at Macys, forever21 or victoria secret. Please ANY HELP would be so appreciated I am so lost and can't find anything!!! Thank you!!!!

Hello everyone!! I am planning on having my wedding at dreams palm beach in november 2010! I was wondering about the beach vs the gazebo for the ceremony. Has anyone seen them? Have any pictures? Is it normally decorated? Do you have to provide your own decorations? Is it secluded, or does the whole resort see your wedding? Also-- does anyone have any comments about the world cafe? I was thinking about doing a private cocktail reception and then maybe going to the world cafe with all our guests since it can get so pricey for a private dinner reception! Any input on flowers? Use the resort? A local florist? Bring them (real touch)? Any and all information about Punta Cana, specifically Dreams Palm Beach would be sooo greatly appreciated! Thank you!!!!

I am considering having my wedding at dreams palm beach in november! but still trying to finalize a few things before i make any decisions. are you having a private reception? how many guests are you having? which package did you choose? I will prob have over 60 guests, so I don't know if I want to pay for a private reception yet the only restaurant that will accomodate us is the world cafe? has anyone been there? how is it? should i hire an outside photographer? florist? has anyone gotten married at this specific dreams? any input would be sooo greatly appreciated!!!!!

Hi everyone, I was planning on getting married in September but have heard that it is hurricane season in DR during sept and october. anyone have any suggestions on when to go? how is novmebers weather? does a particular month tend to be more expensive than others? also-- i have read that it can get pretty cool in the DR during november/december. does anyone have any information on this? also-- i know that aruba is very windy and it would be hard to get married right by the water without getting "blown away".. i have never been to DR, therefore any information is greatly appreciated. thank you so much!!!!
