  1. Getting Married 10.10.10 at the Valley of Fire, and having out dinner at Lawry's the Prime rib. Starting to get super excited, sleeping has been tough. WestXGrly make sure you get your marrige licence downtown before Sunday. Usually wedding dates that that significant numbers are one of the busiest times for weddings, and if you wait till sunday you may be looking at upto a 4 hour wait. (it even says that on the nevada county clerks website) I am staying at the MGM grand.
  2. HAHA, I love it, i thought I was the only one planning a wedding without the Engagement, or the ring. Although its my own damn fault for not having a ring already, if I wasn't so damn picky, but still nice to know I am not alone.
  3. If your doing bikrim hot yoga for the first time, make sure you drink lots of water before, and after you go, and take a towel, and water bottle ( I fill mine with ice water, and lemon juice, because it gets so hot in the room your water heats up). and don't worry if you feel like you are going to faint or pass out in the room your first time, that is normal, you whole goal the first class is just to stay in the room. And make sure you go twice, just because it kicks your ass the first time, doesn't mean it will be that way the second time, it really does get better after the first time. it is a really great work out, and I am a huge fan.
  4. I think you should be happy that your FMIL wants to be apart of the wedding by matching. I mean I understand that she is not apart of the wedding party persay, but she will soon be apart of a larger family, and it sounds as though she is trying to fit in with the whole wedding in General. The dresses are not the exact same as your bridesmaid dresses so I honestly wouldn't worry about it. It is not worth causing a huge ruckus over, and if she already bought the dress to wear specifially for your wedding well then i dunno. I just think that you should be happy that she is trying to fit in, and like the other girls said its not like she is wearing white, or a color that would clash with your colors, so it could be worse.
  5. have you checked out Retro bakery yet? All the reviews I have read on their cakes and cup cakes have been really good, and they seemed to be the least expensive for the kind of cake I wanted. Their web site says the mostly do cup cakes, but if you go into their flicker they do all sorts of cakes. their delivery fee is $20.00 as well so that was cheaper then freeds. I dunno check it out, and see what you think. If you shoot them off an email, make sure you check your junk mail folder for a response, as I know that is where their response went to, and it took me like a week to figure it out. Hopefully that helps, if you find any other great places, could you be a doll and let me know. I spend the last 2 weeks trying to gather pricing and quotes, but sometimes more heads are better then one.
  6. Ahhh, funny how you look at things KeriJ I would love to get married in Jamica, but it didnt work for all my family to take a whole week off to travel, so we picked vegas instead because it was easy. I hope your wedding is fantastic!
  7. I booked my wedding through scenic Las Vegas weddings, and they have been great with any questions I had, and their prices seems reasonable, my wedding is not until October 10 2010, but I am looking forward to it, and like Princess P said above their pictures look really good to. Are you planning on having a wedding reception afterwords? For our reception we decided to go with Lawrys Prime Rib, it is a couple of blocks off the strip, and Michelle there has been great with booking everything I need, and providing vendors for stuff the resturant does not provide. We also booked a pent house suite for afterwards, so we can all go and dance and drink, and hang out. I have a small wedding 24 people so that worked best, and is more intimate then going to a bar (I Think)
  8. Your lucky, I am planning a wedding for October 10 2010 in Las Vegas, but we are coming from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and right now you cannot book any good packages leaving from where we are from. I know you might be able to pick up a good package through the hotels web sites as stated above if you are from the states. I don't know how good of a deal it is though, but something worth checking out. Also some times if you sign up for the casino's emails they email specials about once a month for booking rooms at the hotels, but then you would have to book the flight separate. I know the venitan and pallazo always email me deals. Hope that helps. Do you have any idea where your sister in law is holding her wedding dinner? I have been trying to track down a nice small inexpensive venue with a private room for 30 with no luck.
  9. Hello Every One I am getting Married October 10 2010 in Las Vegas, at the Pahrump winery. I have the ceremony all figured out, but I am trying to figure out what to do for the reception, and Maggiano's is already booked. Does any one have any suggestions of a resturant on the strip, that is not very expensive, but nice. and has private rooms for a reception dinner? Any suggestions would be great.
  10. I am kinda excited, planning my wedding for Las Vegas October 10 2010. Booked the ceremony (Pahrump Winery), and now working on a reception site. feeling almost completly over whelmed and not knowing where to start for a reception space. Looking for something rather inexpensive, private and perferably on the strip for a group of 25 people. Any suggestions would be great!
