  1. Great job! I also chose the same colors. I am getting married in April and can't wait to start DIY. I want to start now but unsure of how many to make. I must visit vistaprint!
  2. Good to Know, MS325i. I will certainly look into it. Hopefully it won't cost too much.
  3. I was also contemplating the JellyFish. Would love to see your pics and feedback. I am getting maried April next year.
  4. This is awesome! Thanks! I will definetly use this. Thought I was organized.....
  5. Hi emme, if you have any available, I would love them as well. Would you mind?
  6. Thanks, Cnc. That's wonderful! 8 years and finally going to live in the same country. Soon, no more border crossings. Can't wait! Ms325i - FYI - I asked the immigration office in the US if by having a lawyer will expedite the process and they said unfortunatley, no. I agree with the Fiance visa program as it is too complicated. I think we are also going to wait to receive the certificate to then be sponsored. Good luck to you and your fiance.
  7. Welcome! I am also getting married in April 2010 in Punta Cana and have chosen the RIU Palace Punta Cana. Good luck with the planning!
  8. Welcome! I am getting married on Thursday, April 22, 2010. Can't wait! How far along are you in your planning? I thought planning a destination wedding would be less time consuming...NOT
  9. Hello fellow Canadians and possible yankees.... CnC - I have a question for you: how are you Canadian living in the US and your fiance is in another state? Just curious. FYI - I asked RIU and dominicanrepublicservices.com (based in the USA and yes, WeDo takes care of logisitics in the US) what I can do to expedite the process. Apparently, there is a certificate with apostille that RIU can give me and then dominicanrepublicservices.com could start the legalization and translation of our documents so that we do not have to wait 6 months to receive the marriage certificate. It is good to hear SeaPrincess that you received your certificate in 1 month. That's great... My fiance and I have been together for over 8 years living in separate countries and it would be nice to eventually live in the same country with eachother shortly after we getting married. Wish us luck!
  10. Thank you, everyone! I may have to consider getting married in the US or Canada however not sure if I can't tell my family that we wil be having a 'symbolic' marriage rather than the real ceremony. Legality speaking, it is a lot easier and cheaper for immigration.
  11. Thank you, everyone! These are great ideas! (Who ever said that planning a destination wedding would be easier than planning one at home was crazy!). The luggage tags and wine stoppers are great and I also like the idea of the bottle of rum. Les and Lynda - are there many items that can found (and less expensive) at the local markets? Thanks,
  12. Hi Corvette 79, Congratulations! Would you mind sending the templates to me by email at [email protected]. I am new to this site and I can't figure out how to upload documents etc. I really appreciate it! I think it is a great idea and I can't seem to find them. Thanks!
  13. Hi Shellb, I have already booked the judge for my April 2010 wedding. How do I book Pastor York? Is there an additional cost for his services? What happens with the judge that was booked through the resort? I booked the Judget through RIU Palace. Thanks.
  14. Hello DR Brides, I am getting married in the DR in April 2010 and having a difficult time thinking of wedding favours that fit within my budget. I want to get the gifts before I leave for the DR because I don't want to spend my time in the DR looking for small gifts for my wedding guests. I was thinking of a personalized CD with DR music and mirachas however I recently found out that Mirachas are not popular in the DR as they are popular/common in Mexico. HELP! What are your ideas?
  15. Hey Everyone, New to this site and have received great ideas! Thanks! As I am Canadian marrying an American living in separate countries- anyone else in the same vote? What are your plans for the legalities regarding the civil ceremony? I learnt that in the DR, we will receive the marriage certificate 6 months after?! Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks,
