Hahaha Echo, that's hilarious. Seriously, the first response from FI when i mentioned the suits "How can buy it online?" Very easily - you put in your info the the fields.. and they make it for you! Lol, he's not even from a small town- he's the biggest techie, but still doesn't like to buy stuff online. Hilarious. On a separate note, if anyone still has some swatches lying around for the $99 linen blend suits, i'd love to take them off your hands. Will gladly pay shipping (they want to charge me $21 from the site...)!

For the Canadian brides out there - once you return home with the marriage certificate, do you have to pay anything to make it legal in Canada. My dad told me it costs $2000... i can't believe that its true. Can someone clarify?

Our reception would be between 5:30 to 9:30 (we added an extra hour to our boat cruise). After that we are planning on coming back to the resort and party at the club (that opens at 11 i believe).

This is great to hear! It seems that many resort DJs are just not up to par. Its great to know that there is an alternative!

I am also considering this place for our reception. I was just curious if anyone was willing to share what their total costs came out be for the reception here (and how many people). As far as i counted, it would be about $5000 for 25 people approximately. Whereas the resort would only really be the price of the wedding package (if not doing a private reception). Also it seems that La Barcaza boat would be cheaper as well. Can anyone shed some light on the mystery? Thanks

Hello future Punta Cana, I am getting married on May 27,2010 in Majestic Colonial, Punta Cana. I am thinking of booking Josh Brown as my photographer - Josh Brown Photography - Montreal - Destination Wedding Photographer. He has amazing pictures, and comes highly recommended. He is a regular contributor this forum, and has been to the Colonial Majestic many times. If you are getting married during that week (either before or after) and you want to share his travel costs, please PM me. His packages are very reasonable, and if we share his travel costs, his services become even cheaper than some local photographers. Thank you!

I am now confirmed for a wedding at the Majestic on May 27th. I am considering the boat reception, as it will be something unusual and fun. How was the food on board? The pictures are not very clear... Also, would the boat come to the Majestic, or would we have to commute somewhere? As well, how many people would you say it would be worth it to do the boat? We might be having around 20 people... i don't want it to seem empty! Thanks in advance!
