congrats and welcome to the forum i am at montego bay on the 23rd and am in jamaica till 4th may maybe bump into each other on one of the tours happy planning and use this site as much as you can but be warned its very addictive xx

this is awsome i am so excited now and getting close gonna get xmas out the way then send out my invites for my AHR then finally get the welcome packs done hoping all goes to plan xx how is everyone else getting on?

we are doing ceremony at 2 dinner at 6 and then play it by ear on where we go after that i havent really thought about it tbh as we have a huge party when we come back with the 200 people that couldnt come out lol so i am busy getting sorted for christmas then making and sending out invites how is everyone else doing?

i will hopefully get started on the info for the Riu Montego Bay thread soon just to check i need to get things like Sunbride did for the Dreams Tulum and just to confirm you will continue with the updates for dates etc in the thread started by lilpailsey? just a quick thank you for all your hard work as i know sometimes it goes overlooked xx

i like the idea of the fans but i havent found anywhere that i can get them from yet live in the uk so i need somewhere that can ship to me without costing the earth xx

i would really like to have all the Riu details together to make it easier to search i am getting married in the Riu Montego Bay and its hard to find the details sometimes as the search doesnt always bring them up and searching for just RIU brings a boat full lol

Hi Amber i am booked for april 2010 at the RIU montego bay i had to wasnt able to book mine until april 09 as flights had not been released any earlier i have also read several mixed reviews on the food but i think sometimes the bad ratings would depend on a few things: do you normally eat at top restaurants where everything is served perfectly? do you mind if you have to wait for a short while to get the food you want/ordered? have you got any allergies / dietary needs? if you answer no to all of the above it will probably be " no problem mon" if like me the last one is a yes then your choices may be slightly limited but as long as you are not focused on the bad points you wont even notice ( well thats my opinion on it) i read loads of reviews that scared me a little but then i sat back and thought "im on holiday i am getting married and i will have people around me " xx hope this helps and doesnt sound bad as i meant it in a nice way xxx

in some countries they request blood work so they can check to make sure that the bride and groom are not related xx

that sucks about the reception issue xxx fingers crossed it all gets sorted xx i am not doing any table favours out in Jamaica i might do something simple at the AHR depends how i feel closer to the time x

hello ladies xx my plan is to insert a page in the welcome pack that lets our guests know which trips we are planning to do and when explaining that these are optional but that they are also more than welcome to join us on any excursions with a short sentence stating something like we will meet in the lobby at 10am anyone wishing to join us please feel free to meet us there as we are all there for 2 weeks i thought it would be nice to do things as a group i know there may be a couple of excursions that we are going to do just the two of us and we will make that clear in the welcome pack happy planning xxx

i know that i will be distracted too much to worry but its gonna be strange as he usually comes everywhere with us xx my AHR is fairly casual just a buffet that i have to confirm guest numbers on so there is enough finger food to go around dj is booked and we have a photographer that agreed to do the traditional shots at the beginning and then random photos of all the guests for the whole night and he is only charging £250 and we get all our photos on disk afterwards

ok i will probably me sending out the invites sometime in jan then rsvp by end of march as i have to give the final numbers for catering 4 weeks before so works out well thanks for all the lovely comments about my dog i wouldnt be without him the two weeks in Jamaica are gonna be tough x Christina i think your letter is fine apart from the TA name as the others mentioned i will probably now be taking a piece of chalk with me lol
