  1. I would like to send out thank you's to everyone who: attended the wedding, AHR, or sent a gift. The only thing is I am TOTALLY lost on what to do, what to write, when to send them. So basically any help will be very appreciated
  2. This is also how we sent out our "announcements." On one side it stated that we were getting married, the date and location (no specifics, just the city, state). On the reverse side, it stated "please join us in celebration", date, time, location (specifics). We hand delivered most of these and made sure to state that they were invited to the AHR. Even so, many of the guests were asking details about the wedding. I guess our the wording didn't give them the clue that they weren't invited to the wedding.
  3. Finally made it back on!!! Had computer problems Our day went close to perfect. All of our internet planning and reservations worked out. We had a small wedding in a suite at MGM Grand. The guests were: my parents, my grandmother, 2 cousins, 2 brothers, my husbands mother, grand parents and his niece. His mom was almost late, my mother and grandmother walked in as we were finishing the ceremony. Had a unity candle with "a twist". My 10 yo daughter also light the candle with us. My husband also presented my daughter with a diamond necklace. This was so emotional for everyone because he announced to everyone he was gaining a daughter. FYI he is currently going through the process of adoption. After the wedding, we all took a ride in a stretch hummer limo. We saw the sights of the strip and stopped to take pictures at the famous Las Vegas sign. The only thing I was bummed about was not being able to celebrate on the wedding night. We were all so tired from going all out the night before. Everything worked out wonderfully even if we had a few bumps along the way. Thank you all for your help with my questions. I'll try to get on as often as possible to help my fellow brides Mrs. P
  4. Thanks for your help. I don't feel so bad now. I have a few other things that are Vegas themed. I'm also planning on putting a small souvenier, which we will purchase in Las Vegas, in the bag.
  5. I need help on this one. sorry in advance its gonna get long We decided on a DW to avoid the costs (we're footing the bill). I've only told our immediate family (parents and brothers). The only other guests apart from immediate family is a "friend" (my step-cousin) and her boyfriend. So far, these are pretty much the only ones who know about our plans. Last night, my fiance was asking me if I told any other family members. Which I haven't. (I don't want the drama of "why weren't we invited?") I would like to let everyone know what our plans are, but without "inviting" them. We don't want to shock everyone by telling that we got married in the AHR invitation. I would like to let everyone know that we are planning to get married, and would like them to join us at the AHR. How do I do this? I need a lot of help with wording, etc. We are getting very close. I would like to deliver these within the next few days and into next week.
  6. Thanks eloping! I was also wondering how to do the AHR invitations as well as announcements of our "engagement/wedding"
  7. I bought the organza bags from efavormart.com. I got the 3x4 size for 1.49 (pack of 10) and the 4x6 size for 2.49 (10 pack). I was so happy they miscounted and I got an extra one
  8. I'm almost done gathering all my items for my OOT bags and found that the only personalized thing I have is a poker chip that is personalized with our names on it. I need some help... Do I NEED personalized items for my bags? We're getting pretty close to the wedding day. Thanks for any help.
  9. Nout sure if anyone can use these but its worth posting Bath & Body works free shipping with $65 purchase expires May 20th FREESHIP65 (enter at checkout) Barnes & Noble 10% off online from May 06 - May 18th C9H4W8U
  10. I was thinking maybe keychain flasks, or bottle openers. I found these cute ones. Flask Key Chain
  11. Hey y'all. A couple of days ago I was at a Bath and Body Works store pricing some items and I found the small travel size bottles of lotions, body wash, sanitizer, and other items that were on sale. They were 4 for $5. Of course I loaded up. Hope everyone else will find the same deal
  12. The dice and card idea was one that my guy thought of last night. We have already purchased personalized poker chips since few of the guys are really into poker. I was thinking the "poker for dummies" books would insult them, so was thinking of getting for the guests who I know do not play at all. Read on one of the other threads something about a "hangover kit" so I'm looking for things to put in there. Anyway, thanks for the responses
  13. Hey everyone. I'm having a little bit of trouble trying to get things together to put in a OOT. I purchased the totes today and have an idea of things to put in. I am taking any suggestions in what else to put in. I looked through many lists and am still somewhat lost. We will only be putting together 15 OOTs. Thanks in advance for all the help
  14. I'm getting married in June in Las Vegas. We will be having a small ceremony in one of the suites in MGM. Almost everything is booked and paid for. Very, very excited but a little worried that not everything will be set up as I had planned.
  15. Thanks for the tip. For some strange reason, I wasn't able to order through cheaptotes and was having a heck of a time finding ones I liked at other places. Hopefully all guests will be pleased with these bags
