Yeah you could all come over for my bermuda bachelorette party - we are going to do the same theme - me in an ugly wedding gown and the girls all in ugly bridesmaid dresses !!!! I would LOVE it to have my BDW gals too! You are the MOTY Ames! I have a small blue pin that was my grandmothers which I will pin to the inside of my dress. 2 of my friends borrowed it from me too for their dresses - blue, borrowed, and old! I am borrowing my best friend's veil - not sure I'll walk down the aisle with it - but want one for pictures at least. I love the pix of the bride & groom kissing under the veil. Renee - way to go on Insanity!!!!!!! Looks like you found what works for you!

Oh man I wish I had an Amy Fitch live near me - you're so lucky Amanda! I had a friend do my engagement photos - he came to our engagement party 30 mins early and we took them then. Nothing too fancy, but I wanted something done. Could you add photos to an event or something so its not like they are going too far out of their way? I think friends like to offer their craft like that. Like I feel good offering insurance advice to my friends & family (not as cool as pix obviously) b/c thats what I do for work...

Wow 5 weeks! That is motivation to get everything done! Then you can focus on packing and beauty treatments. Speaking of, Lolo must be due back soon, right?? I am in shock b/c I realize I leave in 11 weeks for Mexico! 2 months plus 2 weeks sounds so much longer!!!! And I stepped on the scale this morning and am down a total of 14.2 pounds - which makes my goal 10.8 pounds away! That is so motivating!!!

Amy, I am so happy for you! Your photog is amazing in so many ways - even calling the web hosting co to get your posts back!? I mean, he rocks CristaLee - you are too funny girl with your Groomzilla. I sent out Save The Dates 11 months in advance and invites went out 9 1/2 months in advance. My point was I budget my vacation days a year in advance usually so i wanted to be conginzant of my guests doing the same. But, if you have a website up and have already sent save the dates, maybe to compromise you can send out an email to those ppl getting invites and have a link to your website or your Travel Agents contact details. That way you are still reaching out and allowing people to see if they can make it. Lindz, traveling is tough. I always cut back on exercising when traveling, so try to do 2-3 long, hard sessions a week since you cant work out every day. Its easier to wake up early once or twice a week to work out and only lost sleep those 2 days... You can totally do it!!!!

I know nothing about upgrade credits, but since we're all in the Deluxe rooms, there's nothing to upgrade to! Lol, unless they want to give us the Suite... If you want a copy of the special, I can email it to you. I just looked and its only AB, not AS, sorry girls!! All wedding contracts from Feb 15th - Dec 22nd.

After X amount of rooms you get $Y for upgrades and $Z towards resort charges. Just curious if anyone has actually gotten this deal yet. I am supposed to get $1500 towards upgrades, but with the hotel being full, I am wondering if I am SOL. Probably! Any brides sign up after may2009? Did you qualify for any deals? I am thinking if they cannot honor Its All About the Bride, maybe I can ask for a different package. Thanks!

Thanks Amy for keeping us on track! As you can see from my To Dos, I did a lot of delegating - haha OLD to do’s: 1) Book Cupcakes for AHR - assigned to Mark b/c he wants cupcakes so he is now in charge :-) 2) Organize meeting with caterer and baker for AHR - back burner b/c Dad is out of town weekend I am in... 3) Find 1980s wedding dress at salvation army for bachelorette party - Have my sister on this one! 4) Cardio 4x week and weights 2x week - Done - Lost 2 pounds - 12 more to go! AmyBermuda to do’s: 1) Finish up Ceremony details 2) Update addresses in spreadsheet 3) Review Excursions for accuracy; arrange for final payments 4) Figure out theme - considering love birds & tropical flowers... 5) Keep up w/ running program & lose another 2-3 lbs 6) Finalize/negotiate deal w/ Karisma on wedding specials

I am looking for something romantic and simple, like Mama Mia - esque - but not Mama Mia. I am hoping this comes to me. Meghan, I was supposed to have these beautiful orange and pink flowers, but I am second guessing it. I want to discover a theme all of a sudden. I have until April 9th (my 45 day mark - lol). I am still going to bring a list of suggested songs and a flash drive just in case Quote: Originally Posted by ~Katie~ I am on cloud 9 at the moment so thought I'd share and hopefully pick anyone up who's feeling a little down! happy happy happy!! hope you girls are all happy too! woop woop!! Yeah the new Alice - it was good - the 3D was cool too. Too late for my shower (which is Mexican themed - go figure - lol) and wedding. My sister did a Midnight Summers Dream theme and it was awesome. Michele, I am the same. I like the simple look plus my BMs are all wearing diff colors (pink, orange, blue, and purple) and FI is wearing all white so I thought we'd look nice all white under the white sheet. Some people say to use color to make things pop - and it does look really nice too, but then I thought the basic white chairs would look odd with the fancy chuppah. I am OK with a little rain as long as I can take pix outside. Pix with storm clouds look awesome!

I know Bree got married at AB in October, and used Erick, but her pix never went up on the site. Perhaps the wedding couple chooses not to? You should check out Mexican Wedding Photos (link on the ads here), they have a few AB and AS weddings to view. Also, the wedding pix on this site from other brides even at other resorts and outside of Mexico I found helpdful. I think I over looked at pictures when I was too early in the planning process and confused the hell out of myself. I changed my mind like every day. Now I am doing simple white sheets on the wedding chuuppah and white Gladiolas in big vases at the base of the front posts. Wooden wedding plank and uncovered chairs without bows. I think I am going for the simple look? I really wish I had a theme.... I saw Alice in Wonderland last night and thought that would be an awesome theme for a wedding - esp if you had little cup cakes for the cake and little bottles of tequila for the favors.

I did not have a group contract. My guests all had individual contracts and we all paid rack room rates - no discounts at all. Wendy had a group contract and she got significantly better rates and upgrades than I did. I would look at a group contract first before saying no to that idea. Have you spoken with Karisma reservations dept yet? I would have your TA and their reservaions dept quote for you prices and pick to work with whatever one is best for you.
-
They would not honor lower prices for my group and we received no specials. We are all paying the rack room rate expect for people who booked last minute for a 20% off special. I was told my group of 20 rooms was not that big and I did not get any special treatment. I think Wendy is right, the TA's have to book through a tour operator, its more about your TA than it is the tour operator. I honestly think my TA is lying to me about things and blaming them on TI and the resort. I actually heard the TI person on the phone say a room was not dropped and she would make sure it wasnt, then my TA told me they dropped the room when trying to get the 4th night a single rate as I request and now they are fighting with the hotel to release the room back to them. But hey Wendy, Did you guys get any price match guarantees? Do you know how they work with TI?

The commercial was almost comical though, showing all these bulges and women sticking out there stomach then putting on a slimmer and instantly being skinny. Are you wearing a dress that requires a body slimmer? A lot of wedding dresses have corsets in them which act as a slimmer - or you could get a dress that helps create a waist for you.

Transfer Van Safety

Thanks for the reminder and glad the accident didn't ruin your vacation! I find I never put on my seat belt in a taxi either - and if anywhere - that is where I should be wearing it! -

Lindz, congrats! Hope the economy improves and it will mean more $$, but even so thats such a testament to your work!! Is it more car travel or plane travel? B/c you could organize your to do's accordingly. Things you can do with phone calls, schedule for the car days. Things you need to do on a computer, schedule for travel on plane days. I actually made my invitations while en route to Dallas on a business trip!! So you can do it. Also, I keep all of my "wedding stuff" on a USB drive, so I can do wedding stuff at work and at home. And one word "SUNDAYS". Now that football is over, I use it for wedding stuff almost exclusively. You go girl
