  1. We married in Key West on May 21st. Our vendors were: 1. EZ weddings in Paradise - officiant, photographer - a GREAT pacakge deal with VERY reasonable prices. This is a husband and wife team. She is the officiant and he is the photog. By the day after the ceremony I had all pics on a CD PLUS hard copies as well as an electronic release. 2. Cake - Crossiants de France - DELISH! 3. Hair and makeup - Marie Pierre. I can't say enough about airbrushed makeup! 4. Location - our hotel, the Gardens Hotel 5. Reception - Lattitudes on Sunset Key Good Luck! PM me if you'd like more info.
  2. We married in Key West in May 09 and used EZ weddings in Paradise. PM me if you would like more details!
  3. I got married in Key West in May, 09. We got married on the grounds of our hotel (The Gardens Hotel) It was beautiful!!! We used EZ weddings in Paradise and they were awesome!!!! We had our reception dinner at Lattitudes on Sunset Key. If you'd like to hear more, PM me!
  4. DGG - thanks. I was looking at that as I am a pay pal member. Does that protect the buyer? Of course I will come through and produce the product but I want her to feel secure about the transaction.
  5. For those of you who have been successful in finding a buyer here for your "stuff" . . . How did you complete your transaction? Clearly, the buyer wants her goods and the seller wants her $$. Any advice? I searched but to no avail . . . Thanks!
  6. Holly - Thanks for posting. It IS still available. I have the dress, garment bag, fingertip veil with cord edge mounted on a comb for $199 firm. I'll also throw in matching beaded flip flops (size 9) if they would fit you. Buyer pays shipping. Let me know!!! Jessica
  7. Thanks evertyone for all the wonderful comments and well wishes. I'll go ahead and post the rest. I apologize ahead of time if they are fuzzy.
  8. HHmmmm the pics do not seem to be very clear. Can anyone comment as to why? I've posted them from photobucket on another board I frequent (a Key West Board) and they posted very clearly.
  9. I had planned a small wedding in Cozumel and switched to Key West when the H1N1 hit. I'm going to test a pic here and then post more a bit later. It was beautiful. I intend to write a review in the days to come.
  10. Luckygirl - Thanks!! My Key West wedding will be great! The best part? All the plans are done and I don't have to hear another person ask "YOU AREN'T STILL GOING TO MEXICO ARE YOU?"
  11. Kytum - you just hit on my biggest challenge in changing destinations. Honestly, we ARE spening more money for the hotel and it is not all inclusive. That being said, the "price" of the wedding itself with photog, etc is about $1000 less than Mexico. My airline let me change flights early without a penalty. That saved us $300. J
  12. My post from the swine thread: I am literally am crying as I type this. I have joined those of you who called off your Mexican weddings. I just finished up changing the entire week from Cozumel to Key West, basically doing in twelve hours what took me six months to set up. Here is my new hotel Key West Hotels & Resorts Gardens Hotel Key West Hotels we have stayed there before. It really is very lovely. We'll get married on Smathers Beach. To those of you who are going forward with your Mexican weddings I admire your temerity and strength. So, my next thread will be: FS: 45 mint tins with "Jessica and Paul, May 20, 2009, Cozumel, Mexico" Any takers?
  13. Thanks Michelle - I actually feel much better now that the decision is made. But, we only had two other guests to worry about. I must give kudos to Delta. The agent waived our change fees even though our travel is on the 18th and gave us vouchers for the difference in fares. Ok, I have cancelled and rebooked: hotel air WC hair and makeup photog Need to make dinner reservations Then...done. Just think of the great TTD pics I'll be able to get walking down Duval St. in Key West!!! trying to stay positive!

  15. We booked our flights directly with Delta and our hotel directly with Wyndham. I would hope that those who booked with a company could at least reschedule or get a voucher without penalty.
  16. Hey Ladies add me to the list! Confused?...yup scared?...yup fed up with people asking me if I am still going?...yup. I'm in CT and there are 20 confirmed cases 90 miles away in New York City but no one seems really upset about that. Cozumel is what..nearly 1500 miles away from Mexico City? People look at me like I am crazy for even taking a "wait and see" approach. I only have 2 guests in addition to us and I guess we could reschedule if we had to. I truly feel for you Married in Mexico in May brides with dozens of guests. Keep positive!!!
  17. Hi Ladies...I'm throwing my crying towel in. This is such a hard time! I'm really scared and confused about the entire situation. I only have us and two guests so rescheduling is doable if we have to. My heart goes out to those May brides who have many guests to contend with. My heart also goes out to those Mexican families who are struggling with this illness, which seems to be hitting them harder than the US victims. I am going to sit tight, pray and make a decision by Friday. (Oh yes, did I mention cry? probably more of that too)
  18. Congrats and welcome from another CT resident!
  19. Great review! Thanks for taking the time to write it!
  20. Hi! Paul and I are getting married in Cozumel next month and we can't wait. We fell in love with Coz when we stoppd there on a cruise last year. We are getting married on the beach at Aura Wyndham Grand Bay. We used the hotel's WC. It will be a small function with just us and two guests. If you went with the cozumel wedding planner I think she uses Edgar Mendoza for photography who is the same photog we have. If you google his name and "cozumel" you will find his website where you can look through his gallery. I am so very excited!!! A must do is to get to the east side. If you are doing a TTD this is the place to do it! Paul is a photographer so he is going to do my TTD after our guests leave. Best, Jessica
