  1. Yay! Thanks so much Kristi, any vendor advice would be much appreciated.
  2. omg thank you! I was hoping to find a local! I've looked into both of those caterers and have gotten preliminary quotes, I'll look into the restaurants that you listed as well. For our reception we are doing a 2 hour sunset cruise with Fury, so I need food that is boat-friendly. We'll have approx 30 guests (I hope!). I will definitely take a look at your website, I hadn't come across it in my searches. I'm glad there's another florist option because so far I haven't been super impressed with what I've seen. But like I said it's really hard to judge from websites, which is why I'm glad to get some local opinions! I think for the hotel we will just go with a big chain that is close to Fury's docking spot for our guests convenience. For our wedding night though we were planning on switching to a smaller B&B that is honeymoon oriented.
  3. Good morning ladies! I need some help finding reputible/reliable/affordable vendors in the Key West area. Tyler and I are planning to have a simple beach ceremony (Smathers vs. Ft Zach....opinions?). I'm looking for ladies with first hand experience who can steer me toward some good vendors. I need: 1. Wedding coordinator/officiant for the ceremony 2. Food....either a restaraunt who will deliver or a caterer...would prefer to spend <$25 per person 3. Flowers 4. Cake 5. Music! I would loooooove a steel drum but so far it's looking pretty spendy. Any suggestions? 6. A nice b&b or hotel for our wedding night. 7. Hair & make up Any help would be much appreciated! I do have some ideas, but it's hard to judge someone from their website. Plus I get so overwhelmed with google. Thanks so much ladies (and gents?)!
  4. Make sure that you carry it on with you....don't let them check it, and don't mail it. I've heard a lot of girls say that folding it in half (or even rolling it up) and putting it in the overhead (you can put it on top of luggage if needed) is better than hanging it in the closet because the closets are short and the bottom of your dress gets scrunched a wrinkly. You can always steam it when you get there if it does get wrinkled. A good way to do that is to hang it on the back of the bathroom door right away and run the shower at it's hottest temp...the steam from the shower should get the wrinkles out. If that's not an option you can either buy a travel steamer or a lot of hotels will steam your dress for you for a fee. If all else fails, use the hotel iron on a low setting with a towel between the dress and the iron! Good luck!
