  1. Hi Im new and saw this thread and thought maybe I could do this. But I am unsure where to start. I saw something about powerpoint and photoshop, then go to vistaprint to have them printed. SO to make this brochure, I would need to have photo shop? Im not the DYI type of person. But its worth a try. Thanks

I also am having trouble getting pricing (at least at a reasonable rate) as like everyone is finding out the Prices for Jan 2010 aren’t yet out, thus they are estimating costs for next year and prices are coming back high! I have been told by the 5 TA's i have working on getting me the best price that in a few more weeks when the prices actually come out prices should get better. I have sent out emails to my guests informing them of our plans to give them the time to save if they wish to attend. I have also informed them that the invite with more details will follow when I get resort and prices narrowed down. That sorta what I plan to do. I think most people will want to go if you give them a reason to go. Not only are they going to a wedding, but for most, it will also be a well derserved vacation!!. And for the average person, it will take saving money to be able to attend. So I think by giving them the hotel, air, and destination info in person, it shows that we really want them to be able to come and we do understand if they are unable to attend. I already have the room prices, plus she gave me a discount. The only info im waiting for is of course, airfare..... Good Luck
  4. Hi. Nice find.! It's good to have another source for inexpensive totes other than cheaptotes.com. Like you, my wedding date is not until next May. But I am so excited about it, I plan on ordering samples of the totes now, just to make sure I purchase the right one....not too big, not too small... Thanks
  5. Hi ladies. I know this is WAAAY early for some. But I have seen some of the best ideas for the OOT guest bags. I want to go ahead and start picking up some things. One idea I love, posted by another bride here, are the monogram cups that change color. Such a cute idea. Girls and Guys will love them. And they will surely be used. You have to order 250, so any 2010 brides who would also like to split the order....let me know So what do you plan on putting in your OOT bags?

  7. Hi ladies. I am glad to see this post for all the 2010 brides. I started to get a little worried that I would not get to post and share ideas, because it seemed all the other post were for brides getting married in 2009. I am in the process of planning my wedding for May 2010, on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. I have been in touch with a nice lady who is a wedding coordinator for weddingslslaMujeres. I have fallen in love with her pictures as well as her plans for the ceremony and reception. The good thing is she has already sent me her prices and of course most things can be done to fit around your budget. Which I am thankful for. I have yet to send out Save The Date cards. I plan to send the cards out sometime at the beginnig of May. And along with STD cards, a little note letting everyone know that my FH and I are planning to have a get to together and let you know about our plans in detail. This way everyone can get excited about joining us. I plan on putting together packets to give out containing passport info, hotel info, flight, and info about the island. I want to do it this way because as you know, money is tight for everyone. And we want our guest to be able to afford to come and the more information they have the better they are able to save for some FUN IN THE SUN! SORRY for the long post!
  8. Hi I am planning on getting married on Isla Mujeres in May of 2010 as well. Yeah!!! I am so glad I ran into you:)
  9. Hi. Love the idea of a recovery package. Did the Oh SH*T come pre-packaged or did you buy the items inside. I would love to know where you found them. Great Idea!
  10. Hello Brides! My name is Jennifer and I am planning a destination wedding for May 2010. The location will be on Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Isla Mujeres meaning "island of women" is a small island, only 5 miles long and half a mile wide, 15 minutes by ferry from Cancun. It is popular for its charm and friendly people. And boast the clearest, blue water in the the world. I plan on inviting up to 50 people. I was a little nervous about planning a wedding somewhere I have never been before. But I have found a lady who is the owner/coordinator of weddingsislamujeres. I took one look at her website and pictures, and I knew she would make my wedding dreams come true. I am glad that I found this website. I love the idea of women who are in the same boat, sharing information and helping other women.
