The pictures are great! Did you have a professional photographer from jamaica or did you bring one with you? How was the poolside receptio? I'm having the semi-private dinner and than the poolside reception for desert and dancing. I would love to hear how everything went but I will check if you have your review up before I keep asking you a million questions

I'm getting married in two weeks and I was also looking into a make up artist for my wedding day the 11th of June. I have 7 bridesmaids so I have a lot of girls that I would have to pay for. I've talked to Loni Jones and she said it would be around $150 a person but that was a while ago and I think I could negotiate a better price but I stopped looking for a while and just decided everyone would do their own hair and make-up but I thinking otherwise again.. if anyone has any suggestions about hair and make up please let me know! I've only heard of Loni Jones and Queen Bee I believe. Any June brides there from June 7-14 We will be honeymooning at Couples Swept Away from June 14-21! I would love to meet some brides there!!

Thank you so much! Jacilynda, the bags are great.. I never thought of looking at Ikea. I actually bought bags from favors with flair (the small let the fun begin canvas bags) but went I received them they ended up being to small... we are still going to use them for something but we have mugs, Jamaican sauce, candles, shirts, large buri fans, and stuff from the dollar store that we wanted to put into the bags as a welcome bag for all my guests. I am thinking for the bridal party I will get personalized bags that say maid of honor and bridesmaid on it (like the ones from Oriental trading) I get mixed reviews from them about the size and quality of their bags but I'm going to look into all those sites and maybe get something that I can iron-on a personalized logo on. For the guest book and all the ceremony stuff I just have to get it and not worry to much about it. Our wedding coordinator is the one they have at ROR. The only thing we have discussed with the WC is the time of the reception, dinner, and after dinner plans. I know they have a florist there so I think I'm just going to wait until I get there to sort things out but you are all right.. I just need to relax!! It's just really hard not knowing the details until I get there but I know it will all be okay. Thanks girls!!

I leave in exactly 2 weeks from today!! I'm so excited but also so worn out from all the wedding planning!! I still need so many things and since I'm on a budget it's really hard to find what I need for the price that I need! I have 70 guests coming to Jamaica very happy about that but we decided to do welcome bags for everyone and oot bags sorta thing but I have been having a hard time picking what I want inside the bags.. more than anything I've had a hard time finding the tote bags that I like and are in my budget.. any ideas anyone about tote bags that can fit a lot of stuff.. kinda like a beach bag? Left to do: buy sand unity set (heart shaped one) buy memorial candle for fiance father buy memorial bowl with floating candles for our grandparents buy more gifts for the guests and wedding party choose my flowers!! choose and other decorations for the reception guest book with pen cake knife/server tote bags that are not expensive (personalized maybe) clothes for the 2 weeks I will be in Jamaica DID I MENTION I HAVE 2 WEEKS LEFT!!! Hi Brides!! I am getting married on June 11, 2009 at ROR. I will be there from June-14 and than Couples Swept Away June 14-21. I have so much left to do and I can't find all the favors and ott bag contents that I want! We are on a budget and I have been searching all the threads to find ideas and great deals and I have found some but not enough to complete my welcome bags. I have 70 guests!! Also, I don't know what to get for my my maid of honor and 6 bridesmaids! I only have a few weeks to go and I am driving myself and my fiance and both mothers crazy!! Help!!! Any ideas or suggestions about your favors or ott bags please tell!!

Hi!! I'm a June bride and I will be at ROR June 7-14.. my wedding day is the 11 and our honeymoon is from the 14-21 at couples swept away so we will be in Jamaica June 7-21.

I'm not from Canada but my wedding is June 11, 2009. We are there from June 7-14. We have 60 guests and did not book any group rates because our TA told us that it would be cheaper if we booked it flight and room separately at the time. Our total is $1000 pp for one week for a regular room. It originally was $1500 pp but it went down because of the flight and what the travel agent could negotiate. Even though we booked our rooms and flight separately we still are all inclusive... the only bad thing is that we don't get any special group rates like one free for every 10 rooms.. but even without that it is cheaper.

I am wearing sandals as well. My fiance and basically our whole wedding party is wearing sandals and I don't think its a problem at all. My fiance has been emailing Chandlyn and we haven't asked her about a rehearsal dinner but we are doing a welcome dinner which she said that would or could be held at St. Ann's which is a buffet. She said that's were they usually have all the welcome dinners. I'm guessing that the rehearsal would be the same. I have 60 guests so it will be very hard for us to book dinners, but I don't plan to have dinner with 60 people every night. I did want to ask if anyone knows if having an arch is extra price instead of doing it at the gazebo. I think both look beautiful but anyone have any suggestions or opinions We are having our reception dinner at the steak house and than we are renting the poolside reception area for dancing. I have the disco booked after dinner as well, but looking into changing it to the poolside reception for dancing only if it is available. I also have the caprice package and I was wondering what exactly did you get from that package? Did you take anything out or add anything? What kind of decorations did the gazebo have with that package? I have so many more questions, but I feel like I asked to many already! Hello June Brides!! I am a June bride as well. My wedding date is June 11, 2009. I have a bunch of stuff to still do but I just wanted to say Hello and I will post my already done and to do list soon. Hope all is well planning for everyone!! Julia

I am flying out of Baltimore and I will be at ROR from June 7-14. My guests are paying around $1000 pp for a week. I also got my airline ticket from Air Jamaica while they were having a special so that could have made a difference. The specials they have will be there one day and gone the next. My TA was able to get the discount tickets for a few of my guests just the other day while the air jamaica website says its $500 so I would suggest you to contact a travel agent and see what they can do. A few of my other guests are leaving from JFk and they also got a good price about a month ago while they were having specials so I think you could almost get good prices from any state thru Air Jamaica if you keep checking the website and looking at current specials and talking to your travel agent.

I also wanted to say that I see a couple people getting married at ROR in June..days apart from my wedding date which is the 11. I will be there the 7-14 and than we are honeymooning at Couples Swept Away Resort from the 14-21. I am really excited to get to know you all and maybe we can share our wedding ideas! I have around 50 or more guests that already booked so you will deffintley see all of us around!

Same thing happened to me and my guests. We are all flying Air Jamaica because it is the only direct flight to MB. They only had one flight in and flight out the whole time we have been looking. We booked all of our air tickets and all of our guests did too. Most of them are leaving from baltimore but some are leaving from JFK and than some from DC. They changed the baltimore flight from 8:35am to 7:00am. Which isnt that big of a difference, but after reading some of the posts I am worried that they will cancel our flights!!

Hello everyone, I am so excited I found this website because I would have never known the things I do now. My fiance and I decided to get married away because we loved the idea of a beach wedding.
