  1. I'm sorry that was silly of me not to include the website. Here it is. I hope it helps you out. abc distributing ® - Online Catalog Gift Collection Shana
  2. Wow you girls really know your stuff. I hope you all can order samples of you bags. I would hate to see you waste your money on some of these cheap bags on line. I also wanted to let all you ladies know that I was at Michaels's craft store and found a whole section of stuff you can use for your bags. It's a spring/summer section. Alot of it was 1.00. There was eye covers that people use to sleep with over there eyes. There was luggage tags. The tags were 1.00 each though. They seemed a bit pricy. They even had little games. Which were cute for traveling. Also one more thing, I have never heard you girls talk about ABC distributing. Have you guys ever looked in to them. I just got a new catalog and there is a huge first aid kit. You can seperate all the stuff to distribute in all your bags. I forget how much it was but I looked into it for Shan38 bags. Hope this helps. Shana
  3. Alyssa, Thank you, that's all I needed to know. A couple months and 100's of posts. Now that gives me a better idea. Just for FYI maybe somebody should change that saying in the vendor part. Where it says to not pm Tammy if you have been a vendor for less then a month. That maybe misleading. It sounds like it's ok to become a vendor in the second month. I know for my self if it said that you will only be considered to be a vendor after a few months of being a part of the forum and your points will have to be over a few hundred. Then maybe there wouldn't be any issues with becoming a vendor. I know I wouldn't of been so out of my mind for the past three days wondering why she wasn't getting back to me, If I new that info from the start. Shana
  4. Alyssa, I know that me and you discussed the whole siggy thing before. And I did send you a pm about a week ago asking how I can ask the vendors for advice on making logos that they used for there siggy's. But i did not hear back from you. But my question was how to become a vendor. It does say to pm Tammy. But not to if I'm under a month of being on here. It's been over a month. I do understand how to gain points. My other question was do I need a certain amount of points to become a vendor. Shana
  5. I am trying to become a vendor. I have been on this forum for over a month and have been talking to a few people. Some don't respond and some do. But I did PM Tammy over the weekend and I still have not heard back. Am I also need to have a certain amount of posts or points to email Tammy also. I feel that no matter where or who I talk to no one wants to help me or wants to talk to me to even gain points. I would really like to know what I am doing wrong. I thought I was doing everything by the rules and now I'm reading about so many brides asking about services that i do and I can't respond to them. So if someone can please help. Oh and I did read the vendor rules time and time again, there is nothing in there that explains what I should do at this time. I really do want to be a part of this forum. My girlfriend Shannon got me on here cause she said it was really fun and I could meet new friends. Also with the small idea that I could help other brides with my services like I did with Shannon's wedding. I also already helped 3 brides that belong to this forum. Which have said they really like my work and couldn't wait to show the other girls. Thank you in advance for anyone to reply back to me. Shana Merl
  6. Ok, you ladies will most likely laugh and think I'm an idiot but I am married. Actually married since 10/272001. I'm only 30. I'm not a long time member. So you are asking yourself why am i here. Well my girlfriend Shannon and her sister are dw brides. They got me hooked. Also i am doing lots of planning for Shannon's wedding. Maybe her sister's who is 3 months after Shannons. And then I have 3 other girlfriends getting married in the next 2 years. Si i will be very busy. I also am trying to become a vendor on this website. But I won't discuss it cause I know I'm a good girl I'm not allowed. But anyway I was happy to see some married ladies on here. I'm also addicted to facebook but it's nice to talk to new people. Also people with the same interests. All facebook is reminiscing about times I would like to forget. You know the big hair, braces, and goofy prom gowns. Well just wanted to say hi and look forward to meeting new friends which is good for a stay at home mom. Shana
  7. Oh good, I'm glad you found them. That is always how it is. After you buy something it goes on sale. Do what i do. Go buy them again for 12.00 then return them with your 18.00 receipt. (if you still havr the reciept.) Gee us shopping girls can be so sneaky. I blame it on my mom. She tought me all the sneaky ways to save money on shopping. HAHA!!! Good luck with all your planning. Shana
  8. I didn't know where to post this so I'll try this thread. I know that about a week ago I read that somebody was looking for a palm tree punch. Well I was at Michaels crafts yesterday and found two. One was about an inch and one was about an 1/2. They were cute. If anyone knows who it was please let me know. I would love to send it to her. I know how frustrating it can be to try and find something that you really want. Well thanks girls for your help. Shana Merl
  9. If you wanted to use tags like an ID tag this is a really cheap Idea that my mom came up with. At target they have a business card holder. It holds 12 business cards. It's by "real simple" in the office section. There is only one screw holding it together, so when I took it apart I had 12 luggage tags for my oot bags. They are exactly the same think as a luggage tag but better. they are a little smaller. Which I think may be better for an oot bag. It cost me $5.99. If you figure it out, it is only .50 a tag. You would pay more for the lamination machine and laminating plastic if you made your own. The cheapest luggage tags I ever found was at Michaels crafts for $3.00 for 2 tags. Then you can buy card stock paper and print your logo on one side and on the other have it say name for your guests to write their name. Unless you are going to have them in their rooms waiting then put their names on it. Just a cheaper idea cause these bags do add up when you start filling them up with goodies. Good luck planning. Shana
  10. Kathie, I just have to tell you that your pic of the pup is the cutest. My mom came over for breakfast this morning and I had to show her your pic. She couldn't believe it was a pup at first. It's a puppy right? Shana
  11. Thank you all, I can see my self becoming obsessed with this forum. This is lots of fun!
  12. Hello Everyone, I just want to introduce myself. My name is Shana. I own a embroidery business. I wanted to let all you lovely brides know that I specialize in out-of-town bags. (oot bags) You can choose from 26 colors, several types of bags and I do not charge for custom patterns. If you have you own logo I can put that on your bag. I also can add some extra flare, like shells across the top or ID tags. What ever you wedding theme is your custom OOT bag will take part in your theme. Pricing for the tote bags range from $7.00 – $20.00. My embroidery can be done on anything you need. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, hats, tote bags, even beach towels for you guests. I added a picture of a tote bag I did for one of your fellow brides. You can contact me by e-mail for any questions or ordering. Thank You and Good Luck with your planning Shana Merl [email protected] http://i576.photobucket.com/albums/s...l/bluetote.png
  13. Hi girls, I'm Shana, Shannon's friend who did her tote bags. I just signed up to use BDW. I wish I had this when I planned my wedding, this is great and lots of fun. To answer your questions on how much the bags are, it depends on what type of bags and any extras you would like added. Also keep in mind these bags are embroidered by me. This is not an iron on or a patch sewn on. The above bag is the basic tote. I designed her logo (no extra charges for logos). And the shells and ID tags added. For the bag and embroidery only it's $7.00 a bag. If you want the shells and ID tag it's an additional $3.00. Total $10.00 a bag. I have noticed that some brides have been creating there own logo. If you send me your logo I can embroider that on your tote bag. There's ton's of things I can do to add your personal touch or your wedding theme to your tote bags. Please feel free to contact me anytime with anymore questions. Good luck with your planning Thank You Shana [email protected]
