Lisa- You are too funny, all my girls back home call me Bulldog lol. Now they are trying to get used to nikki storms. I am also having my reception by the pool, wedding on the beach, using photosouvenirs for our pictures, Dj mannia for the music, and Pastor york to do the ceremony. Things are getting sooo close, We cant wait! Ana has been great and I am not really nervous at all, I think bc of all the past brides experiences. I am just sooo excited

BB- Would you recommend a different place to have the cocktail hour because of the bugs? If so, any suggestions. Less than 3 months and counting, I am sooo excited

I love my dress and want to get the most out of it...My wedding is at 5 then reception til 10pm, after that we will go to the disco at the resort so I am looking for a cute dress to change into for the disco. FI and I can sneak away in between reception and disco to change and maybe a little lovin before we meet everyone else lol

I made sure to get a vase with a top and I am planning on carrying it on the plane so it doesn't get ruined. FYI: i go my vase at Home Goods for $16. It's very unique and I absolutely love it, will definitely post when I do my planning thread

My wedding is April 23, 2010 at Excellence. The wedding coordinators are great to work with, they respond very quickly to my emails, and really seem dedicated to making my wedding special. I love that it is adults-only because we don't have any children that would be coming, but I know this could be a problem for other brides. I also love not having to make reservations at the restaurants. I have been to other resorts and I hated that aspect. Hope this helps. Happy planning!

I would be very curious to see the breakdown of your costs including Pastor york, DJ Mannia and Videographer. Also did you do any excursions or hear of anyone who did anything you would recommend. I am really trying to figure out if doing a package is worth it for us, we originally was going to do the gold package but now I am not too sure. Also what was the timeline for your wedding day? BB- Thanks so much for you review, I am sooo excited for my own wedding, but a little concerned cuz they keep switching my wedding coordinator. First it was ana then mercy now back to ana and lisbeth. It sounds like they are all amazing so I am not too worried. A couple questions-who were your outside vendors? I am pretty much going with whatever the resort is provding except Pastor York (thanks by the way for telling me about him) and DJ Mannia. Did you give DJ Mannia a playlist or just let him do his magic? and how long did he play for? I know me and you were aggravated cuz you cant really have the wedding go longer than 10pm at the pool. But after reading your review and seeing some pictures, I love having the reception at the pool. I still have alot of questions that I hope you dont mind me asking. I will flood you with more later . hey girls- I completely hear ya. My father passed in August unexpectedly and now my 2 brothers (only brothers) might not come. One of my brothers wife is pregnant and due ON MY WEDDING DAY. So I completely understand him not being able to come, but my oldest brother just keeps talking about how expensive it is gonna be and he doesnt know if he can make it. Bullshit! He has known for years that we were going to do a destination wedding and I got engaged a year ago. I planned my wedding a year ago to give him and others time to save. I am just so sick of being upset about it. He has always been selfish and I should expect this from him but it still hurts cuz we are really close. Austin, like Benny, has been great and keeps telling me that we cant control others decisions. I just dont get people sometimes! sorry to vent girls but its ridiculous. On another note, Bostonbride I am even more pumped about my wedding now that you had such an amazing wedding at excellence. Cant wait to hear your full review!

I picked Excellence and my wedding is in April 2010. For me and my FI, we wanted good food and a beautiful resort and since no kids were coming anyway, a kid free resort was definitely the right choice. I check trip advisor often and the resort gets amazing reviews. Hope this helps!

Not sure if you are talking about my centerpiece but they are fake flowers. With them placed in water, they actually look really realistic and pretty.

ps BostonBride...I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother, I just saw her picture in your planning thread. I too just lost my dad unexpectedly and know how hard it is to lose someone so close, but they will definitely be their with us in spirit. Boston Bride you must be getting so excited. I recently got a email from Mercy asking me a ton of questions and it made me so excited. A couple questions before you go are you having the officiant at the resort marry you and are you writing your own ceremony or using theirs? Where are you having your reception? I had my heart set on the cascade pool because it would be nice to change the scene from a beach wedding but it has to end at 10pm cuz of the music I really wanted to extend the reception to 11pm esp since I have DJ Mannia booked for 4 hours and would only need him from 7-10 (Caribbean trio for cocktail hour 6-7 and wedding at 5pm) I dont know what to do... Cant wait to hear what you or anyone else is doing??

Here is what we are thinking...the pictures aren't the best but you will get the idea. Each frame will either have a picture of us at one of the places we lived (i was a travel RN so we traveled alot) or a quote about love from a famous movie My mom wanted to see it all set up with her plates, the starfish is being attached to the favors

Invitations are sent, I absolutely love them. They are from weddingpaperdivas.com. Highly recommend them, especially if you want to add a little color...sorry pic a little fussy Wanted to add a little personal touch, I learned calligraphy in 5th grade and decided to give it another try lol...i was really proud of myself, even FH was impressed
