I am afraid it won't look good. Silver and white go with just about anything. I think it will fine. Thanks for your input.. Another question... For our reception we are having round tables...so we were thinking about doing one table of pink and one table of green... As for the chairs and the sashes.. we were going to do every other table in pink and every other table in green every pink table- every other chair w pink sashes every green table- every other chair w green sashes.. I think it will look good, but I would love opinions... ALSO- Does anyone know different ways to tie the sashes on the chairs?!!??!

  3. Ok Ladies... I am very confused at this moment! I booked my trip in 2008 with a TA. So are we receiving the OLD palace passort savings or the new? I don't know what is the difference, but I am assuming the tours are no longer free?? Please explain the- NEW $15,000 0r $1,500 ? Some girls were discussing mosquitos and getting married on the beach or having their reception on the beach.. I will let you know how it goes.. My wedding is July 3. It is approaching. We are having a beach ceremony and a reception on the tucan terrace i believe! I heard about mosquito problems near the golf course..I do not believe people have been complaining about this issue.. Unless i missed something!??!?!

Centerpieces- I need to actually do a sample centerpiece here to show my WC in Mexico. Maybe I will display it. However, I have asked and asked and no one has responded about posting pictures on here, so I have given up.
  7. Hey Girls.. I am counting down now.. and my wedding day is coming up soon!! What is this talk about the rooftoop terrace?!?!?!? Sounds like a big deal, info please!! Also, I am ordering sand for my sand ceremony soon... I hope to purchase that by next week.. How much sand do you think I need??...I am getting two colors and we are (hopefully) pouring it into a memory box. Next I am going to order sashes then the freeze dried flowers... I am actually creating my own centerpiece, and I am still paying $60.

I love the floral centerpieces from DecoCancun but at $150 per centerpiece, that would just be breaking the bank Hi.. What centerpieces were you looking at that were $50.00.

  14. Hello My fiance and I are staying at Secrets Maroma for our Honeymoon. Does anyone know if they do private dinners on the beach and if so how can I arrange this?

My cousin had a huge wedding prob cost like 80 if not more. Her flowers were like 15 grand i think.. Anyway, even how nice it was i heard other guests complaining over stupid shit! THOUGH In reality it should be all about the Bride and Groom. It is their day and it is a special day. I Feel that some people don't realize that. My fiance and I decided on a destination wedding bc it was something WE wanted to do. Also-We didn;t want to have a wedding in NYC bc it cost a ridiculous amount of money and we wanted to buy a house! So for us it was the best choice! We are grateful for the friends and family members who are attending and I AM a little disappointed in some family members that have a poor excuse. All in all it is OUR (all of us) day!!!!

My WC (Angie) contacted me for the first time March 27, answered two questions on April 1, and I haven't heard from her since despite a couple of emails I've sent her with questions. I even switched my package (to the complimentary one) and she never even acknowledged that email. My Miami coordinator sent me a new contract to sign & copied Angie on the email, but I haven't heard a word from Angie in weeks. I'm just not going to worry about it until the beginning of June. Hi As you know my wedding is the day after yours! Also, Angie is my WC as well. I have sent her questions and she has responded, but yes lately i haven't received any word. IF you want to know anything let me know, i might have already asked that question! Our wedding date is approaching!!!! I am not that worried, once we get there everything will get settled and I know they do a wonderful job!!
  19. Thanks I will check out that site. Ok Ok.. I am not going to panic yet..but I am getting a little annoyed. MY WC has been very good with responding to my emails within a week. It has been two 1/2 weeks since I received any emails from her. I am not getting nervous, but I hope she responds soon.
  20. I am thinking of doing OOT bags for our guests. I have decided on the following items: Sunscreen Sunburn relief cream Rolled towel Luggage tags Any other suggestions? I chose a canvas bag about 8.5"x11" KGIRL: - I want to find single packets of sunburn relief cream. I am not even sure they sell something like that, but if you find it let me know! -Tylenol -Pepto -Alcohol wipes -Packets of gatoraide -Tic Tacks with our logo -Making my own crossword puzzle (I got the idea I believe from Ashnic?) -Thinking about buying plastic shot glasses..not sure. I cannot rem. the website that sells travel stuff.?!? When are you assembling these bags? I think I may ship it directly to MP. asbarret: is anyone buying centerpieces from the resort? if so what are they and how much? i just got a RIDICULOUS quote for glass vases filled with limes...no flowers! I believe I am bringing my own glass square vase (bc they do not have it or cannot supply it) and they will supply the flowers. My centerpieces will cost me $60 a piece even with me supplying the vase. They are a little pricey. Idk. cb280182: That is a difficult situation. I understand your concerns, but he is your H2b oldest friend. Can you have your H2B discuss his appearance at least for your wedding day? I do not have great advice on this one. I just hope everything turns out ok for u. The only thing I will say is that IF he is out of control, I believe they can escort him off premises. Hope it works out! PS_how can I quote several people's comments!

Does that leave enough time for all the planning to be done? Congratulation! Ahh this post remind me of my first post back in 08. Yes that is true your WC contacts you about 3 months before. At first I was scared about that, but believe me you cannot really do much before three months be4. That is when you will have an idea of how many guests and can plan around that. I just focused on hiring a TA and worked on our Save the Dates.. I began looking for dresses for me and my bridesmaid. You can do all the things you have control of back home! You do have contact with people from Miami..then another contact before your WC. So no worries.. they know what they are doing and are great to work with ! Communication may take a bit, but as long as you are somewhat organized you will be fine! good luck
