Everyone who received one was just happy to have the bag in the first place, especially those that didn't remember to bring beach bags. Also, many of my friends reused the bag as a beach bag on their personal vacations. If anything they can just turn the logo on the other side so that the plain back of the bag is showing as opposed to our monogram. But really, knowing my friends, its not that serious & they didn't mind it having our monogram. Hi i love your goodie bag pictures. can i ask how did you do the wrapping with the flowers on the fans? Did you order that? Thanks ahead of time
  4. VistaPrint has cyber Monday sales which are great. does anyone know if they'll have anything like this again? I ordered one free tote to see what it'll look like but I am scared that my tote won't arrive before this sale is over. Do you know if they'll have a christmas or new year huge sale again?

Brooke Brook thank you so much for that review, it was truly helpful. Also congrats and great pictures. the fire performance was very cool. Can i ask you a question, where did your husband and groomsmen get there suits? I was looking at your pictures while my FI was watching the football game last night and he said "THATS EXACTLY WHAT I WANT!" Can you tell me if they got it at a department store or where I can send him. thanks so much and congrats again.

Not sure if this is helpful, but back in Febrauary when I initially requested a quote for a DJ for 4 hours, Swank quoted me $1466 total. I just called Swanky and spoke he's sending me a quote soon, sounds nice. I think i got a quote of 990 which is good but if i have to pay like $300 for him to come into the hotel then i'm paying the same thing. Plus I went through my emails and I asked Perla for Mannia's info and she wrote me we don't work with him anymore so i'm not sure what thats about.

I didn't even ask for a quote from Swank (the dj that the Paradisus uses) as there were a few brides who didn't have great things to say about them when they chose not to use their services. are you paying a fee for having your dj come to the hotel? like a photographer? I read a photographer is $3000

I am starting to get stressed out, as I feel like time is flying by and I'm not getting anything done! Why can't I be organized like Missy?? I emailed Ajua weddings about performers, but they only deal with you if you have them plan your wedding. Does anyone have suggestions? I was thinking some type of Aztec dancers or something along those lines? I know I can't have fire dancers. Also, I can make up my mind for music for the ceremony and the cocktail hour. I am using Mania for the reception, but I would really like something live for the ceremony and cocktail. I think I want a Mariachi for the cocktail, but I'm not sure they would be appropriate for the ceremony. If I bring someone else in for the ceremony, that means another outside vendor fee. Any help? is mania the dj? if so how are his prices I want to get a dj for the reception and i dont know the prices waiting for an email for two weeks.
  10. Nice thank you JustUsTwo...I am looking for honeymoon registry now and going to head to old navy this weekend. i also am going to find a dollar tree store

So the things that we gave: pashminas flip flops for everyone and ball caps or visors custom beer cozy's votives (beach theme) sunscreen dramamine (boat to our wedding) advil water bottles (with our logo) deck of cards spanish book brochure (vistaprint) Probably a few more odds and ends that I am forgetting. People loved them though. Hi where did you order the flip flops from? we keep finding "just married" but non just plan color
  12. you guys are so creative I wish i would had seen this. I have been using zazzle who probably do this exact thing. I might use it for the tote bags, i wanted to have tote bags as goodie bags for the rooms. Any ideas on what anyone is doing for favors. I wanted something personal or at least personal to mexico or cancun but i am stuck. thoughts?
  13. Is anyone doing a honeymoon registry? if so what website are you using? i am weith Best Destination weddings and I don't like how they do it and wanted to know if anyone was using something different.
  14. We picked our photog and we are flying him in. He does great photos because I saw his website and I know he's capable of doing the wedding (he's never done a wedding before) but I'm willing to chance (cross fingers) I love the photos he's done and feel he will pull this off Because he's never done a wedding the price is so low I am in shock. More money saved thank god, my invitations are just about done and I couldn't be happier with Becca's invites thanks again Becca I am so happy I went with you. I have to do the DJ thing now and go with Swanky cause perla told me thats the only dj they work with. I wrote him 3 weeks ago and I am still waiting for him to write me back. has anyone used him and can you suggest anything? As for the cake do i send pictures of thngs for Perla to try to replicate or do i say heres the flavor and my wedding color and she makes up what they can?
  15. I decided not to go with Samuel but with a photo journalist from where I live. i will be flying him down and that will still not cost as much as a photographer in Mexico and vendor fee's i hope i dont regret it but for now this feels right. perla hasn't written to me in two weeks, I have to learn to just wait for her to get back to me. my invites will be ready soon and I am not sure whats next on my check list...DJ? i have 8 months or so.. can someone tell me what they are up to incase i'm forgeting something.
  16. i am debating on using him myself, its between him and taking someone from NY. I think we are leaning more towards him.
  17. we are debating between two photog. one is mexican the other we will fly in but I think by next week we'll know thanks for the tip Sarah. I will try to get over the $300 fee. are you using the photog the hotel recommends? If i heard good things about him I would be more comfortable but the web site was less then desirable. My travel agent told me she had a bride just come back from her wedding and her photog. from MX had his camera held together with duck tape and she was so disappointed by that. my travel agent said be sure the person you get is good. I also think I am not going to do a photo album out there because it might take a little more time then I'd like.

Samuel Luna is a Mexico based photographer and his rates are pretty reasonable. i don't know too much about him but his portfolio was enough to impress me. OMG you might have just made my day, I will look at his page right now. can you email me so ic an ask you about what package you are getting we don't want to go over budget or spend as much on the photog as we are on the actual wedding. so do you get him a day pass for the hotel is that how that works. [email protected] thanks for your help
  19. Hi all, I really need some help. I was given a link to a photographer Perla recommended and I was not "wow'ed" by this person. Can you give me ideas of who your using? is there someone else in cancun that someone recommends. I have found a few photog in the US that are great but by the time i sent them an assistant for 4 days and pay the package its too much. any thoughts?

I originally didn't want a veil (i thought I would spend too much time fussing with it in the wind) but I tried it on with a veil and I felt much more like a bride, so i think i will go with one. I can always take it off it it bugs me. When I ordered it, it was a bit too small, but it fit perfectly on the weekend, so I am glad those painful hours at the gym and with the trainer paid off! Congrats, what photog did you go with? I looked into one but it was looking like when i was done with all the expenses $6000. He wanted 4 nights in Mex. hotel and flight for him and his assistant, for 10 hours of photos and trash the dress the next day. I thought it sounded great but...more then my entire time in Mex with flight will cost. Can you give me direction with yours? have you heard bad things from the photog they have at the hotel?

I emailed the resort to request a wedding date so hopefully I should be able to hear from them soon. Any suggestions/recommendations on first steps please let me know. In the meantime I will keep going through this forum. Oh - so I am confused about how to open attachments?? Do you have to be a member for a certain amount of time Or have a number of posts?? Also, if anyone has the costs for the wedding packages in the meantime and can shoot me an email I would really appreciate it. I found it on here a couple times but they were all attachments. Hopefully I will be having my wedding here!! What a long journey searching for resorts thus far! Thanks ladies [email protected] hi Crystal and congrats. I am getting married in this hotel in July and am so far not bad, I was a Costa Rica Paradisus bride (hotel amazing) but decided on moving to Cancun because it was so much cheaper (flights) If your looking at a bunch of hotels check out the Karisma el dorado's they are amazing. I wanted to go there but, the Paradisus wouldnt let us get out of our contract from Costa rica, we had to transfer to Paradisus MX. Good luck with the hotel search.

She has also responded with in 24 hours when my guest have emailed or called her for quotes. So I guess it does depend on the TA you get. Now that they have the new feature on the website for your guest to book travel there, that is great. Knock on wood, hopefully I won't run into any issues once my guest start booking their travel. call the hotel and see what the price they are offering is for groups cause mine was way off and then when i changed venue i waited for over a week for the "groups dept" to tell if the new hotel had the same price i called that hotel myself did the same thing got the same quote and sent it to her.. I got all this in a day but had to wait over a week for the groups dept. only to find out the group dept lady was in mexico (like is this a one woman show)

I had addressed several issues but the only one the manager commented on was the problem everyone else was having...communication. I wanted to say well what about all of this other stuff but at this point I give up and I don't want to deal anymore now that we are booked. I'm waiting for our final upgrade and it's now been a month and they gave us the wrong upgrade. UGggghh. First off congrats cause your wedding is around the corner. today my TA has been emailing me back but i had tons of question and when we changed venue and all the waiting i'm calling and emailing her and then its a day later i was at my summer house for the day or i took the day off LIKE OK CAN YOU HAVE AN OUT OFFICE REPLY or the TA has no voice to talk on the phone, again nice and has been getting back to me today but i wonder whats the deal. I matched the price not with the TA but i called the hotel myself and said i'm getting married there i need 20 rooms what are your prices and they sent me a quote with over a $75 difference and then I sent this to her and its all about the freaking groups department and they are super slow. Boston bride can you email me who your workign with and i'll send you my persons name i wonder if its the same one
  24. She isn't bad, I just feel like i'm doing some leg work that i'm not suppose to, i called the hotel and found out they had a lower quote then what i was given.. that makes a difference if you are asking freinds and family to spend money to come see you. I will just take it easy.
  25. i am using them right now, not bad but if you are impatient like me good luck. I am an instart gratification person and I find it hard to wait a day or so for a response to a quick question. I think it depends on your agent mine is very nice but I need more proatctive agression. if that makes sense
