We are doing a welcome boat cruise the day before our wedding with La Barcaza, I am really excited! I will post a review when we get back and let you know how it went. We actually initially considered doing our wedding on the boat, but I got too freaked out about it (getting there in my dress and stuff).

We are having our reception there next Tuesday and I can't wait! I will post a review when I get back. The wedding planner (Mayte) has been absolutely wonderful to work with. I kind of love her and I have never met her! We debated having the ceremony there and I kind of still think about it, but our ceremony was included with our wedding package so we decided to keep it at the hotel.

Wow, wow, wow! Your pictures are beautiful! Being a beautiful bride on a beautiful beach probably helps too! I am getting married that the Majestic Elegance in November and I can't wait. I am really glad to hear that you loved your hair (which looked awesome by the way) as that is something I have been concerned about. Did you also get your makeup done at the spa, or did you do it on your own? Whatever you did looked amazing! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Caroline, Our wedding is coming up in November...I will be sure to post pics or email you when we get back. It is harder to find pics from the Elegance, I guess because it is newer. The chapel is too small for our group, so I think we are going the beach route. Oh my goodness, this post makes me feel so much better. I think I actually had a minor panic attack the night after I bought my dress. I freaked out and had a totally different "vision" about the whole wedding. My poor bridesmaid took the brunt of it the next day, trying to make me feel better. I can't even talk to my fiance about it, he thinks I am ridiculous (even though he has never seen my dress and has no idea what it looks like). I try not to think about it now and try not to look at other dresses. I have to remind myself I did really, really LOVE my dress, and that a lot of the ones that I liked in mags when I was originally trying on dresses didn't actually suit me or look good on and that the one that I bought really does (I hope). Arg. Anyway, this post makes me feel slightly less crazy! Thanks ladies.

Congratulations!! The choosing of the place was SO much harder than I thought!! We are getting married in Punta Cana in November (well still waiting for the final confirmation before I get too excited - everything seems to move at a snail's pace now that we have picked a location - I can't stand it!)

Hi everyone, This might be a lost cause, but at some point in my obsessive searching and checking out destinations and wedding pics, I saw a picture of a beach wedding that had coconuts all along the aisle.....I thought I saved the link but no luck. I have searched all through my history and can't find it.....if anyone knows where this might be, please let me know! My fiance thinks I am nuts for being obsessed with finding the picture - he says "It's coconuts, I think people can imagine it" and offered to draw me a picture. Anyway, I figured it was worth a shot!!

They are beautiful, and I cannot imagine a pair of fabulous shoes that are actually comfortable - definitely worth it!! It's your ONE special day, and if you are like me, they will make you so happy when you put them on (of course you would be super happy on your wedding day anyway), but that feeling of knowing you have the most gorgeous perfect shoes on.....worth every penny!!

Hi everyone! We think (fingers crossed) that we will be getting married at the Majestic Elegance at the end of November/start of December 2009!! I'm so excited to have FINALLY picked a hotel (almost had a breakdown in the process - who knew it would be so hard?!) and can't wait to do all the other "fun" stuff now. I was wondering if anyone knows whether the resort photographer at the ME (probably same as Colonial I would imagine) is any good and/or if there are examples of his/her work anywhere. I have contacted Majestic about this, but thought I would give the forum a try as well. I am impatient!

Eeek!! These are the hotels that we are deciding between too!! I didn't think it would be so hard!! Good luck! One thing that I am having a hard time with is finding out whether or not you can actually swim in the ocean at Sensatori.....lots of TA reviews say no, but our travel agent says that he knows some people who just came back and that you can swim there....can anyone who has actually been to the resort shed any light on it?? My family are "water people" and I would like them to be able to swim in the ocean....

We are considering getting water shoes for our guests. I'd also be interested to know if they would help. The beach/swimming is the only reservation we have going to this hotel.

Hi, this question is for anyone that has been to the Azul Sensatori. Can you swim in the beach/ocean at the hotel at all?

We have been considering Azul Sensatori after it was recommended to us by our travel agent and then we got really nervous with all the reviews on TripAdvisor....the forum is making me feel so much better about this place! I think a lot of times the people who post the really negative reviews are just really negative people who go looking for problems. Your wedding looked absolutely beautiful - congratulations!
