  1. We sent out Save the Dates, they cost us about $150 with postage, return address labels (vistaprint), info sheet, and a magnet (also vistaprint, soo cute). People got really excited, my almost hubby wrote a witty letter with our intentions(we added a picture of a palm tree and color photocopied them on white paper) and even though we didn't have a specific date or resort, we gave our wedding webites and have updated them from there. Our friends and family loved it. It got them excited, they have thanked us for the advanced notice, and it drummed up support for the trip. The magnet will hopefully keep reminding them everytime they go to their fridge. So if you can afford it, I would do it, and it doesn't need to be expensive or elaborate.
  2. When sending out our STD's I used pink and yellow envelops from Staples and we had ordered return address labels from Vista print that were yellow and blue, and the yellow on pink looked amazing, I would have never thought how they made the envelop look so great. The yellow on yellow also worked well, but the two different colors really was better, so I would suggest experimenting with two colors as it makes it look more interesting.
  3. We are in the beginning planning stages, and are looking over the pros and cons of choosing a Travel Agent, a Destination Wedding Planner/Travel service, or going right to the Tour Operators like Sunwing or signature.* Any advice?* Thank you.
  4. Check your budget, see if you can work it in, and if it is important to you, sounds like a great oportunity, that squeeze out some other budget item to make it happen. Good luck!
  5. Super fun! That must but such a wonderful feeling to have that guest list filling out. Congrats!
  6. Hello Everyone, A friend of my fiance's told me about this website, and I am super excited to be a part of the community. It is always so difficult planning a destination wedding, and all the tips and advice are so helpful. We are planning to be wed in January 2010, and currently are thinking Mexico, but are still in the researching options. Have a great day!
