Bahamas we want to get married on a beach at an AI. We have around 30 guest traveling with us from age 4-70. We need help deja vu! you sound exactly like how i was a few weeks ago. i was also looking for the same criteria as you. my recommendations are #1 or 2. reasons for #1 - plenty of all inclusives in the area and a lot of them accept kids. the beach is amazing (although not always swimmable). el arco is the perfect backdrop for photos. #2 - great all inclusives and chain resorts for families. close to nightlife (cancun) for guests staying longer. great excursions (isla mujeres, tulum, etc) reasons for NOT #3 - we just came from there and hardly anyone speaks much english. the country isnt too pleasing outside the resort and there's no shopping/nightlife/culture activities. the main thing going for punta cana is their PERFECT beach w/ palm tree lined shores and their expansive selection of all inclusive resorts No on #4 - hardly any all inclusives. if AI resorts are what you're looking for, you wont find them in bahamas. hope this helps! i considered all places you listed with teh same criteria you were looking for =) i ended up going with Moon Palace Cancun.

  7. Hi everyone! I am so excited to join this forum! My first forum i have ever joined besides American Idol when I was a freshman in college back in 2002 =P 1) My name is Joy and my fiance and I got engaged on August 9, 2008. I immediately went in wedding planning mode so here i am. 2) We are getting married next April 2009. The exact date is still in the works. we are waiting for confirmation on my other alternate date. I should have it confirmed by the end of the week. I have Saturday, April 18th reserved from my wedding sales coordinator, but I am waiting to see if April 23-25 are avaiable. We decided to look at later dates because teh resort we picked is lowering their daily room rate beginning on April 18th. We want a nice, very detailed oriented wedding so we're trying to save as much as we could! 3) We picked Moon Palace Resort and Spa in Cancun for our wedding location. I am sooo happy to see that our resort is a super popular wedding destination. It took super long for my fiance and I to choose a resort, let alone a country! Our first choice was St. Lucia and Bahamas 2nd. However, we needed all-inclusive resort since we are planning on bringing family members with us. I just want to share how lucky I feel to have my fiance help me out EVERY STEP of the way! we do nightly pow-wows on wedding planning. I am sooo proud to say that every decision we've made, from date to location to price range, have been done TOGETHER! we debate and weigh our pros and cons, then we make a decision as one. awww sappy huh? we have been together for 10 years so it's about time we get married! we are both 25, from California, college grads who have professional careers. we are both avid travelers so a destination wedding is perfect. we decided to have one while vacationing in dominican republic. we can't wait to be married and start our family =) thank you to all of you who keep this forum going. i LOVE reading your posts, reviews, opinions, and stories! thanks for sharing =) - Joy
