Since a few of the resorts do not offer transportation to the hotels how are you guys handling this? Are the guests responsible for their own transfer expenses or will you be covering the bill? I know transportation can be booked when making a reservation so are you letting your guests know to also book their transportation or will you tell them not to and just pay for a private van? I'm undecided on what to do.

Not to be in your business. But what did it not have that your were looking for?

It's official. I just booked my wedding. And I'm so excited. I sent Charmaine all of the info and sent in a deposit. She said she received all of the info. Next on my list is to send out my STD's.

I will be sending out save the date announcements with the wedding date and resort. I will include my wedding website address so that people can get additional info. FI also thinks it's a waste of paper because almost everyone knows about already. I think it is necessary and will make it official.

Thanks Petals. She finally got back with me yesterday. She said she will be holding the spot for two weeks.

I was so hooked on Grand Palladium and now I am thinking about changing my mind. I have been waiting for a response for a week now. I know the coordinator is busy working on other weddings but there are things that I need to know before the deposit is sent in. Does anyone know if the deposit is refundable? Is this how it is going to be once I finally do book my wedding. Am I not going to be able to get responses until weeks later? I'm so confused.

The are just beautiful. I'm sure the bridesmaids will be pleased!!!

Thank you ladies!!! I read all of the information she sent and filled out the agreement form. I advised her of the date and time I wanted. She said she would hold the date for two weeks after I let her know. When she responded with, "The date and time are available for the time being". I got confused. She didn't say she would hold it for two weeks. Thanks Petals!!! I have read your other thread about the resort and it helped me alot in my decision process.

How did the process go? What were the steps? I sent an email to Charmaine telling her that I was interested in having my wedding at the resort. She sent me the wedding info which I already had. She said that I could contact her if I had any questions or needed additional information. I sent her another email asking about particular wedding things that are not listed in the info she sent. I also asked her what the next step would be to have my wedding at the resort. She emailed me back saying to pay particular information to the cancellation policy. This does not state anything about how to book the wedding. It just discusses the cancellation policy. I told her that I was ready to book and she sent me a step by step email saying 1. I let her know what date and time I am interested in (I let her know this in the second email) 2. She would hold the date for two weeks 3. Send in the deposit. I sent her another email with the date and time that I am interested in. Her response, "That date is available for the time being". I am so lost. What was your booking procedure like? Please help.

Hello everyone!!! I'm hunnyhun, new here and just want to say hello. My wedding date is set for 08/15/09. I have been looking for a resort for about 3 months now and think I am going to settle with Grand Palladium Resort and Spa in Jamaica. I have heard some really great reviews about this resort and think this is the perfect place for me. I am awaiting a response from the resort at this time and will be sending out save the dates as soon as everything is confirmed. I'm getting really excited!!!
