  2. Oh, that makes me feel better. We decided to go with Haleiwa Joe's. I'm glad to hear the food was good. Did you have to make reservations? If so, how far in advance?
  3. Dina, I haven't heard back from my WC yet but my vacation rental is in Laie. We did look at Moli'i gardens but we wanted a ocean front venue v. a water front venue. I'm more worried because I have such a large group (100) and it's obviously not going to be quiet. Not to say we're going to party it up till midnight but it's a given with 100 that we're not going to be church mouses.
  4. I loved turtle bay but the only problem is that we've already committed to the property and have already made our invitations listing the property. I don't know, I emailed my WC to have her look into it :fingers crossed: I love your pics...I've heard of Heaven's Point but never knew exactly where it was at.
  5. Hey Jess, Your right that is the best but we're actually planning on doing a trip there open to everyone. I'm just looking for a restaurant on the north shore for just the bridal party. Thanks~
  6. I can't be the only one... I've been on this forum for awhile (or at least to me) now and I constantly find myself on here hours at a day or every free minute I get. I've learned so much here and gained so much in such a short period of time that I'm addicted. It's the first thing I check in the mornings! Now only if I felt that same way about the gym Hopefully it wears off soon, so I can be more productive

  8. Oh, thanks Tina! I'm going to pass some of that good info onto some of our guests.
  9. Oh, Kee Lac, I totally feel your pain. I did the exact thing (ordered my dress) and then we moved in together and all of a sudden I'm ___ obs heavier My weakness is my diet so I know I need to really watch what I eat.
  10. Hey Jess, Thanks for that info. I'm going to have my WC look into Sunset Beach. I still haven't check into Rev. Alice but will do so soon. I'm such a procrastinator at times.
  11. Hey Jessica, Thanks for the info. I'll be sure to check into Rev. Alice...
  12. Thanks for that website, I tried to do some price comparison and was only able to find them in black. I hurried back to that website and I'm glad I did it looks like they only have 1 each of a few sizes. Okay, enough babbling...Thanks again!
  13. Wow, by the looks of it they don't offer half sizes...ummm.. I wear a 9.5 so I guess I'll have to go with the 10
  14. OMG! Thank you so much!!! I've have to work on my searching skills THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP!!! I knew I would have an answer within minutes once I posted it here.
  15. Ladies, I need help! I am sooooo in love with these and have been going crazy looking for them with no luck. Anyone know what specific type of shoe they are? I was able to figure out that they are Betsey Johnson shoes but that's it. I figure if I can at least find out the name of shoe, I should have some luck finding it. Thanks in advance! They're heels with BJ's signature pick bottom. It's a gold shoe with a white lace overlay and a small white bow on the strap. Please, please, any help. If you don't have enough points, pm me and I'll email it to you. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure about taking at a local college but I can guess that an advantage of rosetta stone over in college courses is that you can refresh your skills at an time. Although with a college course you get a a real life human interaction and possible meet people you can interact with in the future.. I guess it just depends on your preferences and what type of learner you are.
  18. Yeah, I second that! Arabic is a hard language. I did Mandarin and that was tough. I hear Arabic is harder than Mandarin. But it's great that you can use it once you learn it.
  19. Actually, I found this 2 pg breakdown of how to use Rosetta Stone. My employer provided it so it explains how to log in (you can ignore that part) but it goes over the different things that Rosetta does and how it works. I know it's not an sample version but it's a pretty good breakdown or close to a sample version. Rosetta Stone.pdf
  20. I've used Rosetta Stone and it's absolutely what everyone raves it's about. The slides within each lesson are repetitive. They teach by using pictures and pronunciation. The drills vary from them saying a word and you having to identify the picture to typing the spelling of the words in the specific language. They'll teach you words in sets and then move onto another set and after that they'll return to the first set and so on. It really does work but just like every other language if you don't you use you lose it. My initial impressions going into it was that I would learn basic concepts like Hi, Bye, This, That, etc. but that wasn't so. They start off by teaching you things like planes, cars, animals, and then move on further by adding colors. I didn't get too far into it but I imagine it keeps building as you go on. I have to agree the price is steep and I never knew how much it cost until I looked it up just now. Luckily, I have access to multiple languages in RS through my employer. It's true you don't appreciate things as much when it's given to you. Had I bought it myself I'd probably finish the whole program. Now that I know, I'll probably go back and finish the languages I started. Good Luck!
  21. Hi, Ladies, I was wondering if anyone who's been to Oahu or lives there can tell me a public beach on the North Shore that's big enough to accommodate about 100 people. I've been searching all over but can't seem to find the right info to make a sound decision on any specific beach location. We're looking for a place to have our ceremony that big enough since we already have a place for our reception. Our reception location is in Laie, so ideally somewhere close to there. Thanks in advance!
  22. Turtle Bay is absolutely amazing, or that's what I've heard and seen from pictures. We're planning on having our wedding on the North Shore and originally looked into turtle bay but it was too pricey for us. They have a beautiful glass chapel that I absolutely loved. If I remember right the catering alone was about $10,000 but that was for a group of about 100. There was a whole bunch of other charges that would put us over our budget and just didn't seem practical for us. I'm sure there are some other ladies around here that can answer your question more in depth.
  23. I would also check out this website:http://www.ailanakai.com/Lauhala/minilauhala.htm they have plain boxes for 0.65 each. I didn't really see where you could check out but they have an email and phone number. Good Luck!
  24. Welcome leilani, Another Hawaii bride!!! Yey. . .
  25. I found some here: Lauhala & Buri Gift Boxes and it looks like you can get 100 for $90. They have different sizes so I guess it depends on what your looking for. Those were the cheapest ones I found, it comes out to about .90 for each. I'll still see if I can find any bigger discounts.
