  1. OMG! Your OOT bags are soooo super cute. I love how the tag and water bottle labels match. You definately lucked out to find this vendor.
  2. Things will get better. If it was all bright and shiny all the time, we may take it forgranted. Although, I do totally relate to your personal plight. I'm planning a destination wedding and I was recently laid off two weeks ago. I've spent a good amount of that time crying to myself because I can't really "help" with the wedding. On the bright side, this has given me a chance to hunker down and get wedding projects done. I don't know how I would get everything done if it weren't for this timely time-off. I'm only 50 days away from the nuptuals. It will all come together. I promise! Good luck with your family....and your wedding party!
  3. Shelly, you are a god-send!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! I think you just saved me two weeks of designing and 4 reams of scratch paper!
  4. I love these little boxes. My only dilemma is the chocolate literally melting in them. Thanks for the information!

(the bulk sellers that is!) By the way, the one thing that I am most impressed about... I took that picture with my Iphone. Yes, that's a cell phone camera photo! It's amazing what technology can do today! Your DIY project was beautiful. I pretend that I'm handy and creative, but the reality is I'm a great plagerist. Your idea is classy and inventive. You give me hope to keep my reception costs under $2 mill. As for the phone pics.....you could be a photojournalist. Good job.
  6. OMG! Your website is better than Getmarried.com and martha stewart put together!!! Thanks for all the amazing options, information, pictures, ideas and inspirations.
  7. I'd have to agree with sunset....one or the other. It's sounds like a good idea to "coordinate", but the look of matching earrings and necklace is a little avon-esque. Maybe you can give your MOH a bracelet with the palm tree charm. That's what I'm doing. My bridesmaids picked different cuts from the Alfred Angelo jersey knit line. My MOH chose the the strappy halter that covers where a necklace would fall. Congratulations and good luck!
  8. I'm leaving for Maui in 50 days. It's been a crazy year. After researching every destination wedding book and surfing the net, I'd like to suggest a couple of things: 1) bug repellent (I found cute single use packets online...minimus.biz) 2) sunscreen (try to get smaller packets as opposed to large bottles. Some people may be sensitive to the active ingrediants in your offering) 3) local region maps. If everyone is flying in, they won't know the first place to grab a quick snack or a yummy breakfast. Your guests will definately thank you for the options.
  9. BB5, Congratulations. I'm sorry this is late, but enjoy the sunshine. Bring a book for your flight. Can't wait to see your pics!!!!
  10. Sooooooo I'm getting married in 50 days. Time flies when you are fighting with your family. I'm scheduled to leave for Maui, Hawaii on November 5th to be married on November 8th. I've been using a Maui-based wedding planner. So far she has been a great resource. Her husband is my ceremony musician and reception DJ. She has gave me a wonderful second option for my reception site. She has impressed me with her ability to calm me down when things seemed glum, but now that I'm getting closer to the date......I'm realizing that all of her ceremony price quotes are 20% more than what I had originally budgeted for. The reception costs are more than 25% more than what I had originally budgeted for. I've left a voice message and a detailed email asking her "where there's wiggle room" in the pricing. It's been over a week and I haven't heard anything. The only document I have for "a contract" was the original wedding inquiry signed in March 2008 and the deposit for her fees. Whenever I asked for a detailed itemized listing, she said she would take care of it. Does anyone have some advice?
