  1. I love all the pets!!! They are so cute!! Jess - you already know I heart Moose to pieces!! (But I'm a little biased!) I'm not sure if I've posted this pic...but I just love it! It's what he does best!! I soooo want another lab for Killick to play with - but when I think about how much $ it costs I know that we can't really afford it. For example, we just went on vacation for 7 days & we had to board Killick (bc we don't have family around to look after him). It cost us $250 for the 9 nights that he had to stay there. If we had 2 dogs that would be another $500 added on to the "cheap" trip that we took! Not to mention dog food! Killick is eating $67 worth of food a month. Add another doggy to that & it's almost $140/mth for dog food! It all really adds up! But I'm guessing we will get another dog, it just probably won't be as soon as I'd like!

As much as I'd like the halfway totals, I don't want anyone to feel down or uncomfortable!! So, I didn't reach both my goals for this week. I only lost 1lb (not 2 like I had hoped) but I did make it to the gym for 1hr of cardio 4 times! Now I just have to keep it up & work on that pesky 2 lbs!!

  4. Since this is my first BL I was wondering if we do a 6 week update. (ie, BachataBride has lost 3.0% in 6 weeks) I was thinking a mid-challenge update might light a fire under my ass!!! (and wow...I can't believe we will be halfway through next week!)

Damn Tasha...you'll just have to move here so that we can share them by doing it together!! lol Oh...fyi...I've been to the gym twice now this week...2 more times to go!! (my week goes by the BL week...wed-tues!) Maybe since I"m doing so well I'll try for an extra day!

It might be hard to split it up though....I'm not sure if the DVDs are burnable. Do you know anything about downloading DVDs? I'm clueless...maybe you coudl find them to download off limewire, or a torrent website or something like that. (Not that we would do that, cause it's totally illegal...)

My goal this week is 2lbs...I am going to focus on getting my ass to the gym 4 days this week. One down, 3 to go!   10. And you still fail tash!! Still no results!! lol Well...just shows how much I know about exercising & weight loss. I thought you had to do more than what I was planning on. Good to know I'm on track. Although, I have to say, I have not been back to the gym since Wed. Life has been BUSY!
  11. We chose the RIU Bachata in Puerto Plata mainly because of the clifftop gazebo. But it also offered a free wedding package, and it was a good price for our guests!

  13. Awh Mel - I know it's so discouraging...but stick with it sweetie! Take comfort in knowing that you are most likely replacing the fat with muscle! And as shitty as it feels on the scale, know that you are doing amazing!! How do you feel? As long as you are feeling better about yourself & the clothes are feeling just a little bit bigger you are on the right track! I went to the gym again today - I kept it light...50mins of cardio. I figure if I can do 1hr of cardio 4 days a week that's good...especially since I'm NOT a gym/exercise person!!

  15. Good luck with the weigh ins today ladies!!! I'm down a pound...not bad for someone who hasn't done anything! lol Zumba was great last night...and my bags are all packed & ready for the gym on my way home from work!
