Even though my mom is not contributing, do I still put her on there? Also, since his parents are no longer married, so I still put them as Mr. and Mrs.? They are both unmarried. This is confusing. lol.

I am having a hard time wording our invites (and the order needs to be in today). His father is paying for everything and his mom bought my dress. My father passed away 7 years ago and my mother is not contributing to anything. How the heck do I word the invites? I don't want to leave his dad off because then it will insinuate that we are paying...help!

Thanks so much everyone for the responses. I feel so much better hearing all of this. I knew the Sheraton was amazing from what I saw, but there are always things that you don't see in pictures. I am the exact same way - I email like a mad woman. I have been working with my wedding coordinator for awhile now and will typically hear back from her within two weeks. It drives me insane. I know she is super busy, so I try to calm down. I started a list and add to it daily and then plan on having a telephone conversation with her to get things answered. I don't think you are asking too much to get an answer right away, but make sure to realize that he/she is probably really busy working with many other brides. I would give it at least 3 days and if you don't hear from him/her I would sent another email. That is what I do anyways.

I ended up finding some (had some sent from the hotel and my WC). So if anyone is looking for pics let me know.

Hey Michelle! I haven't heard from you in awhile....everything going okay? We have a lot going on. Ugh. We may be changing the location of the ceremony and reception. Nice. I am ready for May to be here already. lol!

Ok - I talked to my wedding coordinator last night. We will be getting married at the Palapa (maybe changing) and there are carts with vendors along the pathway to the Palapa and right next to it. She said the vendors leave, but the carts stay which I am okay with. I was so worried when I heard that and pictured the vendors harassing my guests. ha!!

We are thinking about moving our reception from the Palapa to the De Cortez Restaurant, but I can't find any good pictures. Does anyone know where I can find some? THANK YOU!

Hey everyone...my Future Father-in-law just got back from a cruise where they stopped in Cabo. They stopped by the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar where we will be getting married in 3 and a half months. Well, he called to tell us the place isn't that nice for one. Then he told us that there are vendors selling stuff on the hotel property and apparently they stand there the entire time of the ceremony and reception. Is this true!? He said it looks "trashy." I think the palapa area is amazing. He also saw it without decorations. I can live with him thinking it isn't all that great, but I am worried about the vendors.

I find drinking helps too. LOL. I just wish I had some of you ladies close to me so we can grab drinks together! Sometimes you just need to vent to another bride that knows what you are going through! I was venting to FI last night about our videographer/coordinator issue and he said, "babe...we have so much time, stop freaking out." I laughed at him.

Thank you ladies!! I have to say, you did help. I haven't heard from the wedding coordinator today so far, but that's okay. I kinda expected that. I expet to hear from her later today on other stuff. I emailed her and told her we were okay with going the associate route, but want to pay less, so we will see what happens. Mango...if that doesn't pan out, I will pm you for that name if you have it. As for the wife of FI's dad (she will never be anything other than that to me), screw her. The story there is so long and I won't get into it, but NO one in the family can stand her. I just hate that his dad said to tell me that I created "problems." I don't think that was necessary. Drop it and leave it at that. I wrote his dad an email and apologized to him. I didn't need to, but I don't want anyone mad at me for something I didn't intentionally do. Wedding planning is such a JOY!

Can I do that here? Should I be on another thread? Anyways.... I about had a melt down yesterday. I have been working with my wedding coordinator since October to book a videographer. I don't want to put blame on her, but just last week I finally got a link to a videographer that I had liked and we talked about a few months ago. She had been telling me that she will forward his work to me and then wouldn't. I am sure she was swamped. Either way, I decided to email him directly only to find out that he is booked! I couldn't believe it. Why wouldn't she tell me this? Why would she send me the link of a videographer, make me fall in love, and then he isn't even available? Well, we ended up talking on the phone last night and things kinda worked out. Apparently he has associates available to shoot the wedding and he will then edit the video. Should I do that? I am going to ask for a cheaper price, but I don't know....can you tell I am stressed? THEN.... My FI's dad called last night and told him (I over heard their conversation while they were on the phone) that I caused problems between him and his wife. We are paying for specific people and because I didn't include her son on the "to be paid" budget I apparently caused a huge fight. AHHHH! I can't make anyone happy.

TY! I realize we also have our wedding website done, the officiant booked and I have the favors. My to-do list is still 2 pages long. ha!

I am also doing the South Beach Diet. I lost 12 pounds in a month and a half. I am still not eating sugar and haven't reintroduced all carbs, but I do eat some. The cravings for carbs stop after about a week. It's amazing how quickly the weight falls off when you are only eating the right things. I highly recommend the SB diet though...I have the books and know a lot about it if you have any questions.

Hi Ladies!! I just found this post! Where have I been? I am getting married on May 16, 2009 at the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar. I am so far behind that I now want to be sick! This is what I do have done: 1) Hotel booked 2) Coordinator booked 3) Photographer booked 4) DJ booked 5) Started to put together BM gift bags 6) Sent out STD's 7) Rooms booked for us and the other people we are paying for Ordered my dress and has since been delivered to the store, now I just need to pick it up 9) Bridesmaid dresses picked out and a few have ordered and um...ya..that is about it!! I have the flowers picked out that we want and have the centerpieces picked out, but have not heard from my coordinator yet. I am also waiting on my coordinator to send me more information on the videographer. I feel like I have so much stuff left to do and my to-do list keeps getting longer! K, enough freaking out!

We were dating for about 7 years (just a few months shy) and will have been together 8 years when we finally get hitched!

We booked Daniel after raving reviews from our wedding coordinator. He is very nice to work with. He is VERY quick at responding too. I can't wait too see what he does for our wedding!

Update! Everything worked out. We talked and worked everything out. We paid our deposit yesterday! I figured out that I was having problems with my yahoo email account. She did apologize for not responding sooner, but as expected, she was really busy. Thanks everyone for your advice. I apologize for freaking out!

Thanks for the prospective Maureen! That was one of my thoughts. You are totally right, I am not a paying customer yet. She has done a lot of work for me already and has done amazing. I guess my qualm is that she kinda fell off the face of the earth. I understand that she may need to put others before me, which I am completely okay with 100%. Even a very short email to let me know that she is busy and that she will respond when she can would be enough. The fact that she emailed me on Monday and said she would get back to me that afternoon and STILL hasn't emailed me is a little upsetting. Heck, even if she emailed me back on Monday and said that she still can't get to me, then I would be okay. I just want to know what is going on, you know? I feel like we did all this work and RIGHT before we are about to pay her...she ignores me.
