Hi everyone! Has anyone received a price list for any of the additional decorating items? I was told that the chair covers are $6 each. The standard decorating comes with all white linen and white chairs without chair covers. The cocktail party comes with high tables (bar like) and high chairs - white linen on all the tables. Anyone know of any cool sites on hair styles? I am not the youngest one - and looking for a hair style is mind boggling. Sharla - your wedding is right around the corner and everthing sounds awesome! Sounds like you are going to have the perfect day! Pookie - what time frame will you be in Cancun? We arrive the day before your wedding ) Have you been contacted yet? Anything interesting I should know about ) I was reading the posts on the vows - I was recently told that the minister will read any vows that you provide as long as you are not doing the catholic ceremony. What is interesting, though, is that we do not meet with the minister at all before the cermony. Was anyone told that a DJ comes with the wedding and takes care of all songs before, during, and after the cermony? I am hoping that is right ) Please let me know if any of you know different. I hope everyone's planning is going great. I still have more to do than I have done and approaching the date quickly. Take care!

Hello! I am just a week old here on this forum ) I have been reading threads and replies and asking questions....... I am looking for vow renewal advice....ceremony, reception, clothing, gifts, etc. We will be married 20 years and this is our first ceremony. The ceremony will be held at Moon Palace in Cancun, Mexico. I would love thoughts, ideas, stories, do's an don'ts, etc. Anyone else out there doing the same thing? I have read so many different things you should do or not do and at times it is very discouraging. You know one place you will read - this is not a wedding in no way shape or form and other places you will read - this is your wedding ceremony do anything you want. Just confusing.....I am hoping to start a place that we can share ideas and talk about what to do next.... Thanks!

Thanks for the info girls. I am not sure why I didn't see those menu options, duh! Anyway...dez pictures of the reception areas will work, but anyone out there having gazebo pictures would be awesome. I was just informed we would be having our ceremony at the chapel gazebo with cocktail at the chapel garden. I was thinking we were able to choose - oh well! I am sure it is great. I just wanted to see more details than what the website provided. I will also go back and look at all posts.

Also........I signed my contract and paid for things in September 2007 for a July 2008 wedding. Signing the contract does not improve the communication at all. One recommendation....if you are traveling with a group get them to assign you a group coordinator. This has helped me a ton. I already have my dinners booked and tours as well. This helped me put my guest itinerary together. I know I probably have a smaller group than most (22), but the tours fill up quickly. Having been to Moon 6 times, I know the tours and I know how quickly they fill up. ) If anyone has questions about Moon Palace particularly...I think I can help. I have never had or witnessed a wedding ceremony there, but we are members and I love the resort. Nicole

Oh you guys are awesome! Having your feedback and ideas is already making me less stressed out - and boy that is a good thing. Melissa - thanks for the website! The costs do add up quickly! There will be a total of 22 of us there and I am trying to make it as memorable for all our guests as well as my immediate family. The sand ceremony is a definite now! I am also thinking of having one or all of my kids say a poem or something. Pookie, with your private function, I would not even consider the cocktail party - smart on your part. Are you bringing all your arrangements? What about OOT bags? I was kind of thinking to buy alot of the items to go in the OOT bags while at the Moon simply to minimize what I have to bring. You know all the airlines are going nuts on the additional baggage! I do not think a veil is appropriate for me, but what is your guys take on flowers, jewels, or a tiara? I will have a wedding gown because I didn't get to do that the first time around - it is a creamy ivory color. Also, my husband is an officer in the military so he will be wearing his uniform. The MOH and BM dresses are navy blue abd believe it or not, I still have to decide what my boys will be wearing - suit or tux? crazy, huh with 6 weeks left to go. I need to get way busy! Thanks! This is Nicole and my wedding - vow renewal is 3 days after yours - July 26:o) I have been very stressed out - you should call Miami and have them assign you a coordinator. I have been assigned one for about a week, but didn't hear from them until I found that I couldn't eat or sleep! I have heard from them 3 times since yesterday. The planning phase for me feels like it has just started! What have you done so far? You replied to my "Newbie" post - thank you. I have so many questions and I am hoping it all falls into place. Moon Palace is an excellent resort! I have been there 6 times and love it each and every time. As for the WC - I think they could get better on the contacting part. I am not sure as to there method of contact, but some people seem to hear from them a lot early then others. I was recently told that they are trying to contact people early, but they have been having problems. Thank heavens for this forum! It should help all of us! Well.....time flies beause we are about to hit our 20 year mark and hence all this planning. It is kind of wierd for me because I am not really a new bride, but didn't have the opportunity for all the glitz and glamour before. Any suggestions, comments, or ideas? We do have 3 kids now ages 16, 13, and 9 and want to incorprate the sand ceremony in all this - any suggestions? We are doing the Symbolic ceremony, cocktail party , and then dinner. HI Denise, I am also having a vow renewal this summer. I am new to this website and already in the freaking out stage. We will be married 20 years this July and this will be our first ceremony. I, too, want the sand ceremony so our kids can participate. I think it is a great idea. How old are your kids? Have you found any nice sayings for your sand ceremony? Also, how are you altering your wedding ceremony? I have a trillion questions..... I have just been contacted (the first time) by my WC and I feel I have so much left to do. Thanks to all the warm welcomes! This is kind of weird for me -- we have been married a longtime, yet never had the ceremony. We have a total of 22 of us going to witness the renewal and it will be like the first time without it being the first time - I even have a dress this time ). Anyone know of any great vows? We have to reword some wordings on anything we chose. Our 3 children are all a part of the wedding and just as excited. Thanks again!
