    You can count on it.

What day do you leave for Mexico? I will try to give at least one update while I'm actually at the resort...and will check the posts often, cause I'm a total internet addict...and just know that is what I will do each night before bed. (I'll have a laptop, and there is Wireless there...so why not)!?

I can't believe it is just two weeks away!

I found the dress for after the wedding - at night when we're all drinking and its just too hot to wear the wedding dress another second! I got it on sale for $80!!! And its pretty too!!!
  2. Happy Wedding Day Tati...my friend. I hope it was all you imagined it to be!!!

As for myself...I'm completely stressing out! LOL

I think we're all set...but, I decided last night that I needed a white or ivory dress to change into in case it was just too hot to dance all night in my wedding dress!

I'm finishing printing all my labels for the OOT bags, and gifts - Pepto, Advil, Pashminas, Name Tags for at the table (affixed to starfish), Maracca tags...I know I'm forgetting some.

I'm working on a Program of sorts to have on our tables for our AHR the weekend after we get back from Mexico.

I'm trying to relax when I can!

The long and short...I'm keeping myself busy with things! LOL

But I also had 10 people to try and fit in...so maybe that's an issue too.
I am still trying to figure it all out. Did Lili tell you where your location was going to be - Michelle asked me where I wanted it - i just told her to pick the best/most private area. Hope it works out I will know in 12 days when i get there!!!!
I emailed Lili today. I hope she is able to get me some information!

I haven't been asked anything! I've done all the asking, and..."where is my reception going to be held" hasn't been one of them. I've only asked to have it on the beach.

I'm sure it'll all be fine!

    Shannon...only 12 days for you...17 for me...OH MY GOD!!!!!

Yah, I mean, if you can find them locally, then you should! I think we paid $25 EACH bobble, for shipping...

Still worth it though! cheesy.gif I'm glad you're all enjoying the info!

Did anyone know that the Royal's Spa ( SpAzul ) is under construction?! (Shay you might need to know this...) I was pissed b/c i was supposed to have a room to change into ( since i am staying at the Gran) but not the case anymore. Michelle my WC said she could find me an area but i don't think i want to chance it. It could be a game time decision when i actually see the space in 2 weeks - yeah!
Well, I don't know what do to b/c my girls have to start having their hair done at 9am!!! my Ceremony isn't until 4pm! Argh - i don't know what to do - help!! I just watne everyone together but I may have to change that...9am is sooo early! I would hate for some girls to get ready at the Gran and some to get ready at the Royal - but I may have to. Unfortunately i think some girls may just decide NOT to get their hair done...which i really don't want to have happen. gerr - why is there only one person who can do updo'shuh.gif
    I'm...confused!

Why will you have to be seperated from your girls?

My mom, MIL, MOH and myself are all supposed to have hair and makeup appointments the day of the wedding. Our ceremony is set to begin at 5PM, and although I don't believe our appointment times have been made yet, I figured Lili would take care of it for around 10AM (she said she would make the arrangments for us, as well as the in-suite couples massage for FI and I the afternoon after the wedding). I was under the impression that we could go two at a time for our hair...but...my MOH and I are both having our hair up, and the moms both have short hair, so...perhaps my plan will not stray too much?!

Thanks for the information...I'll try to contact Lili again, to see if there are going to be any problems for us!

Can't wait to meet you Shannon!!!!
  6. Oh man...I'm SO sorry...I should know better by now to post these types of things!

We bought them from webobble.com Each statue is about...8 inches high.

The bodies were standard, and by far the cheapest we could find. Everyone else was $50 more at least, than what we paid....$89.99 each. FYI: If you were doing a bobble of yourself, you could purchase 2 or more for a discount, but only if they look the same. Because we did one per guy, we paid the full price for each one.

    Here is the link

Custom Bobblehead doll - Casual dolls

They are also offering "Talking" bobbles now!

Honestly...the whole sculpting process took...maybe three weeks - they sent us the proofs...we made some adjustments (you send them a profile and head shot of the person they are sculpting) and then about a two weeks later, we had them...both of them! That might even be long, it might not have been that long.

Very good to work with and totally worth the price.

    huh02.gif
Unless you package specifically states that any food is covered, you will have to pay a fee per person (up to 12 guests), and an additional fee per person over your limit.

On average, Reception dinners can be anywhere from $40 - $60 per Royal guest (must be staying at the hotel). If they are staying at the sister hotel, the Gran Real(?), it is something like $50 - $70 and a bit more if they are staying off-site altogether.

The same goes for "cocktail hour"...you would pay $25 per person up to your limit and then $25+fee for anyone over the limited amount.

If you are hiring outside photographers or other individuals who will be with you over your reception time, you usually have to allot for their meal as well.

    Hope this helps.

Even she gives me different pricing everytime I talk to her. I am so stressed right now. I wanted to do a Chuppa, but with the prices Zulma is giving me, we decided to cut it out....which really sucks cuz I don't really now that I like the standard set-up too much. She also is not sure if the minister is booked for the day now....since I started with Laura and got switched to Zulma everything has gone wack!

Sorry for the vent session...but I am really freaking out here! shots.gif
I hear ya! Man, I hope everything comes together for you though. I'm feeling kinda the same way...since my "account" got moved to a new coordinator, I feel like...she doesn't know who I am, or remember (or check) what we discussed previously...and...I'm completely not convinced that all the things I am hoping for will actually...come to life.

But...I'm just trying to focus on the Mexican holiday I will get out of it...and marrying the man of my dreams....even if I end up doing that in the lobby bar! cheesy.gif

V told me the same thing...but I have been told by my wedding coordinator that it is $500 to upgrade the standard white dance floor to the light up one! I'm expecting the white one, but hopeful that we too, will have a nice surprise!!

You have a wait, but...when I started planning this whole thing, I had exactly as much time as you do now....enjoy it! It FLIES by! Honestly...I don't know how the last year has passed us by...but it has!

I'll try to get as many photos as I can (I would anyway - picture whore here) to show you the different settings...but I'm sure another bride will beat me to it!

If you go with Mishka, are you going to have them shipped to your resort in the Riviera? Has she quoted you shipping costs?
I'm getting married at the Royal in Playa del Carmen, and am in love with her designs, but am worried about the cost of shipping...

Also, do you know how long custom orders usually take?

We are having Hot Hors D'oeuvres (Chicken Chimichangas, Mahi Mahi Fingers, Chicken Satay, and Cheesey mushroom turnovers) during the cocktail hour. We are having the ceasar style salad, Green peppercorn beef medallions and the fruit tart for dessert. We ARE having the standard wedding cake, Tres Leches, and we've requested that once it is "cut", it be taken back to our room, where we will have everyone over the next day!

Ken and I actually did a test pack run this past weekend, and we were able to fit all of our wedding stuff (for AHR and Mexico) into our one large suitcase. I am so proud of this feat! cheesy.gif Now...if it weighs over 50lbs...We'll find out I guess!
It's just he and I departing from Montreal, so a lot of it, we're bringing ourselves. I pray my dress can be hung in 1st class...

We are using the basic table settings from the hotel, and I have purchased some different sized Starfish to be scattered all over. We are also purchasing Maracas, I have the tags made, and those will be at the settings, along with the starfish wine stoppers, and personalized bottle openers.

Lili asked me for my dinner choices last week... I'm keeping it really simple and having the three course menu (the 1st course in the 4 course one is soup and I just think soup in the hot weather sounds yucky...) with the caesar salad, green peppercorn filet and the tres leches cake. I figured that it's simple enough of a menu that even the pickiest eaters (like FI) will eat what they like. I'm on the fence about the tres leches cake though... what do you guys think for a dessert? Note that we decided to nix the wedding cake that's provided in the package- we're having an AMAZING one at the AHR and I've seen so many reviews where it goes to waste, so we decided to cancel it!
WOW! We are doing the EXACT same menu and cake...everything! Hilarious! I knew we were alike, but geez!!!LOL
  14. I'm still amazed at how much different information each of us has gotten!

One of my only anxieties about the wedding is...not having asked all the right questions.

We're having our reception on the beach, but never have I been asked or told, which area it would be in...

It's not even that I particularly care that much, but...it'd just be nice to have the same information as everyone else!!!

LOL Anyways...only 26 days until we leave!!! WOO HOO!

I even picked up my wedding dress this weekend. It's officially hanging in my closet! I can't believe it!

Now for my venting. I am a freelance tv (reality) producer and I wrapped a show about 6 weeks ago and have been freaking out about money ever since. I finally booked a 5 week job that started yesterday and just now got to feel positive about the upcoming weddding. I am just a stresser when it comes to spending money so that past 6 weeks have been miserable cuz all I do is stress and panic and feel so overwhelmed that the wedding isn't even exciting during the stressing periods. Well I started yesterday and they cancelled the show in the afternoon so now I am again out of work and stressed. TV shows are typically longer gigs and I have missed out on 4 recently because I have to leave in the middle of shooting for the wedding so they couldn't hire me. Now its basically too late to get another show before the wedding so it looks like I am going to be out of work for a minimum of 2 more months!! I know it sounds nice to have the time off but imagine no money for nearly 4 months and it may put you in a panic as well.
I know that the whole world is suffering right now and that my financial worries may be less than so many others but we are spending all of our savings to survive right now and I just can't believe that after all these years of looking forward to this time in my life stress and a horrible economy has hit us over the head and all we can do is fret over how to pay our bills when its time to figure out how I am going to style my hair!! GRRRRRRRRR.
    Hey darlin...
I feel you on the money front! Recently at work, we were forced to take a salary roll-back...NOT the best timing for that to occur! I'm a stresser too...especially when it comes to money...so the last few weeks, I've been kinda moody and emotional! Thank you economy!

Basically...there is nothing I can say to ease your mind...if you're anything like me. Just...take solice in knowing that we are here to support you through all of it, and, you're certainly not alone.

Stay positive..and...even though it stings a bit now, just stay excited about the planning, and...you'll get through it!

The basic Chuppa/Beach set up they have is still nice. It looks like a white metal arch, with one floral arrangement. The Gazebo is also free to use, you only pay additional for "extra" decorations...

Sorry I don't have the photos here (I can't access my photobucket) but will post some later if you'd like.

Paying extra for anything these days, is seeming less and less necessary to me! I think the backdrop of the Caribbean is going to be so beautiful...I am feeling less urgent to change that!

Does anyone know if we can do a dinner at one of the hotel restaurants? I've heard the limit is 6 people and I will have 10.
There are a few in our group also, with concerns. We are going to promote activities near or on the resort property, and just emphasize using common sense and caution in less familiar areas. It's all you can do. There really aren't many reasons you'd WANT to leave the Royal property anyway...so...we're just going to boast that! It's a hotel you relax at, heck you're paying for it, so...enjoy it!

Good luck with the rest of your planning and...wow...one more month!!!! How exciting!
  18. In true welcome style...I just HAD to post an updated list!!!
